Bret is absolutely awesome. I am a super broke college student and Bret helped me out at the lowest price possible. He helped me out when he didn’t have to and that’s something that not a lot of people would do. Deserves over 5 stars for the quality of service.

Can’t say enough good things about this shop. I was a walk in and Bret came right over in spite of being busy with other repairs. I left my wheel drums to be resurfaced there and they were ready before I came back an hour later.
He also took the time to answer all my questions to make my first DIY brake job a breeze. He even helped me fit a part that I was having trouble with because it was slightly missized due to sloppy manufacturing at no charge.
Even though he knew I was an out of state visitor, he never tried to sell me parts or services I didn’t need, although if he’d told me my drum needed to be replaced, I’d have believed him and bought one.
Take your business to this shop, you won’t be sorry. I just wish there were a place like this near where I live.

When I say he is legit I mean it! Came here ages ago when my 2002 Ford Taurus was having issues and lets just say I am REAL skeptical about new car shops because… well I have boobs and some shops have a tendency to see them and think she wont know lets charge her an arm and a leg. I think NOT!
Brett was by far the nicest shop person let alone human being I have met! He was so gracious when explaining the issue with my car. I was almost in tears when we were going over worst case scenarios because lets face it I’m BROKE and a new car is NOT in my budget but Brett made it happen! My car is working great and he even took me to work and came to get me once my car was ready! He will definitely receive my business and I have recommended him whenever anyone local is in the market for a new mechanic.

i first took my car to Aamco and had to take it back 3 times and they still didn’t fix the problem. then a friend told me about Bret so i took it to him. He fixed it for about $ 200 less and is very easy to talk to. I didn’t feel like I was being swindled like how i usually do when i have to take my car in. I’ve referred to a few of my friends already.

We have been taking our vehicles to Brett (BAC Motors) for years. Brett is honest and his staff is amazing.

It’s been a few years since I last had BAC work on our car but we’re getting ready to send the mini van in to get a few more miles out of it. Bret is the most honest «car guy» we’ve ever dealt with. Prices are more than fair. The only draw back is that he’s often so busy (probably cause they’re so awesome) that it may take a while to get to your vehicle depending on his availability.

I had a Jeep stolen from my house, and it was ridden hard and put away wet by some very unforgiving joy riders. My jeep had everything from a hole in my radiator, to a hole in my front manifold. Bret did everything from sourcing used parts to save me money, a complete vehicle inspection to prioritize fixes, and he walked me through the entire process. My jeep had been my work horse and needed to be back on the road ASAP. He did just that, and his confidence in the job kept me at ease. I highly recommend Bret for his integrity, true grit, the big smile you get when you shake his hand, and the ability to get my life back on track quickly.

Came here to get my old radiator replaced, Bret was very friendly and gave me a decent price for everything. I was very happy he could get it done in a day. He also replaced my gas cap for 12 bucks which I really needed. I would definitely come here again if I needed to!

Brett is a great guy. He helped me when I owned a cert pre-​owned Landrover Freelander that always had issues popping up. Initially Brett told me he wouldn’t work on a Landrover. However, because my sister was a long time customer and I told him how the dealer had been jacking me around, he agreed to help. He was able to make some part replacements at a fraction of the cost the dealer had quoted me. I trust Brett to be honest and extremely capable when it comes to cars.

Brett is the owner of this establishment and is by far the best mechanic I’ve ever dealt with. He will be honest and only do the work that needs to be done and if he can get it from the junkyard without making you have to buy it brand-​new he’ll do that too. You can’t go wrong at BAC Motors.

Brett has performed work on my car twice now, and has done an amazing job every time. He also took car of my friends car, whom the dealership claimed they could not fix. He flat out told us the truth, and gave us a fair deal.
Brett is so honest, he even gave me advice over the phone when I took my car (stupidly only because I work there) to SEARS, and their fixes didn’t seem to fix much of anything.
If a mechanic screws you, or you suspect you might be, call Brett. He will tell you even over phone everything you need to know to get the work done right or he’ll fix your car and go after them for the bill on your behalf because of their screw up.
I have recommended friends to BAC motors and will continue to do so as long as I live in the Sac area. He is honest, kind, funny, and fair. And he makes no bones about telling off shops that lie or try to swindle.
And if you talk about it ahead of time he will even let you pay over the phone! Not many places do that!

Brett has been working on our less then new but not «vintage» cars for over a dozen years. Just to echo what everyone else has said, Brett is an incredibly honest man. He’ll tell you exactly what’s going on and always provide a fair price. He’s not one of those cookie cutter mechanics that go to a book and decide that no matter how quickly he can get the job done, the book says to charge X. He gets a part in and has to charge Y% of cost. That’s not Brett’s style. Too many reviews and he’s going to be so busy his old clients, like us, will have to wait longer for service. LOL

Bret has been doing work on my family’s cars for a number of years now. He is by far the most honest, GOOD, mechanic I know. I recommend all my friends to him. Don’t go to the agency, as they will screw you.

Great guys! I needed to have my catalytic converter replaced after an adventurous ride back from SF with my exhaust pipe dragging on the 80. I tried other places on Power Inn Rd and thankfully BAC was the second place listed on Unilocal that answered their phone at 7:45 a.m. When I got there, Bret told me that someone had tried to steal the converter and assured me that he can fix it ASAP. He wired up my pipe and ordered the part overnight and two days later, he returned my call 5 minutes after I left a message for an update and told me to bring in my car even though AAA hadn’t gotten a hold of him yet.
Once I got there, he fixed it in 30 minutes and told me that he actually called the AAA corporate office to check on my claim.
What a great guy and I will definitely be back for all my car needs.

Brett is a great mechanic, first and foremost. Always knows what needs to be done and works with your schedule, a big plus.
He is also very honest, and will do his best to find after-​market parts if you have a tighter budget to work with.

Maybe the only HONEST auto shop in Sacramento. And he has a poster of The Blues Brothers on the wall. Aces in my book.
