Birkenstock Midtown

My parents & brother purchased new Uggs for me for Christmas and sent them to me. Unfortunately, the black Bailey Uggs my family purchased for me did not fit. I needed a bigger size. After calling a few stores in Sacramento to see for an exchange, I had not luck. SO I called the Uggs Australia customer service line and suggested I go to Midtown Birkestock as they were approved retailer for Uggs. I called the store and spoke to a very nice lady that reported they would be happy to make the exchange with a receipt.
The next day 12÷23÷15, I arrived to the store and was greeted by Paige who went able and beyond to help me. After trying on the bigger size I requested, the boot did not fit. Paige noticed I was disappointed but continued to assist me. She helped my find a different style and helped me with another shoe. She was very patience with me and answered all of my questions! Thank you Paige for making my day and for making it a great Christmas for me!

Love this store! They’re great about making sure you get a precise fit and when I got my first pair of birks, the owner softened the leather for me in areas it was chaffing. A couple months later, a piece came off the sandals and I brought them back and got them repaired and ready to wear again in less than 10 minutes! The customer service is superb and they stand by their product!

I went into Birkenstock a couple of months ago to buy new tennis shoes. I have a difficult shoe size and difficult feet in general. Meghan waited on me with cheerfulness and patience as we went through boxes of shoes until we finally found a pair of Keen shoes that worked perfectly. These are the best shoes, bar none, that I’ve ever had.
So when I needed to buy a pair of sandals I went back to them today. Once again Meghan waited on me and gave me great customer service. It took about 45 minutes and boxes and boxes of shoes but we ended up with a winner.
I highly recommend Birkenstock for their great customer service and the quality of their shoes.

I love this store!!! This store is amazing!!! The staff so nice. Shout out to Amanda for helping my little sitter get her first pair of Birkenstocks. Amanda was so nice to fit my little sister too!!! Amazing customer service. Definitely recommend this place for you if you’re thinking about getting Birkenstocks.

I wore Birks when I was teenager and just decided to start wearing them again. I like the traditional two strap style with the soft footbed. I bought several pairs at Nordy’s, but they didn’t have the darker brown available so I Googled and found Birkenstock Midtown. I dropped in there today and looked around for a couple of minutes and was then helped by a nice young woman named Paige. She was very knowledgeable and fitted me to a different size shoe than I had been wearing, and they fit great. I even ended up buying a white pair, too! Good selection and awesome customer service… I’ll be back!

Very friendly and a nice atmosphere. Not overly crowded like a lot of shoe stores and I was stoked that they actually carried the style and size I wanted! Black suede classics in narrow were hard to find. After lots of calling and searching online at other places, I decided to go in. It’s a bit of a drive for me, but it was worth it. I came in on a hot day and they even offered me a cold water bottle.

Came in for a Mother’s Day gift, didn’t know what I was looking for or what the price range will be.
Came in the store and received awesome customer service, along with a full on explanation about these birkenstock shoes. Taking the time to explain to me why I should buy these $ 100 sandals made it so much easier to pull out that credit card.
The lady that helped me volunteered to look if they had any shoes of the size I was looking for on clearance. It made me feel as if making a sale wasn’t important but for me to he satisfied.
Even though these were for my mom, I will go back for some for myself!

Such a great store! Very helpful employees! Me and my friend came in here yesterday after trying to find shoes all over Sacramento and they were the only ones that had the selection we were looking for! I had a great experience we tried on about 10 pairs of shoes each and they were completely patient with us!
We will be coming back for more shoes soon!

I, foolishly, waited a few days before my Disneyland trip to purchase some comfy walking sandals. I walked in and was assisted right away by a young woman (I wish I could recall her name). I have a tiny foot and my size is hard to come by but she showed me several styles and asked about my needs. I was on the fence between two styles and was concerned that the style I wanted wouldn’t be available in time for my trip.
The associate was great and perused 2-​day shipping options (and offered to waive the extra charge). She also showed me a third style that was in stock that I ended up loving. I went with the Bali style she brought out. I am so thankful for her diligence that led to my successful shopping experience. I felt valued as a customer and was pleased to support a local business.

Have been buying comfortable shoes here for some time. My most recent pair of Naots were squeaking, squeaking, squeaking and driving me and my co-​workers crazy. Finally had a chance to stop in for a new pair, figuring these had worn out. i find a new pair. I’m paying and casually mention that the reason I’m buying new shoes is the squeaking problem with the old pair.
The woman insisted she could help (very nicely) and even though I didn’t think it was possible I let her try. She put in a little pad in the arch and voila! the squeak was gone. She then spent some time firmly sticking the pads in both shoes, and adding a pad for heel for my comfort. Also got a 10 dollar discount on my purchase.
Oh, and did I mention that I came in just at closing and this all happened at closing time?

I wish Unilocal would allow me to give a rating of zero stars so I could give an accurate account of my experience with this store. I bought my first pair of Birkenstocks a year ago and I LOVE my Gizahs, live in them every day, but with the weather cooling down I needed to find a more practical pair of Birkenstocks. My daughter suggested I try this store since it is located around the corner from the barber where she works. I got a friendly «Hi» when I entered and then… NOTHING. That was it. The extent of the assistance I was offered for the entire 20 minutes I walked around the store was the greeting. The store is tiny, I was in full view the entire 20 minutes I walked around and sadly no one wanted to help me. I will find another way to buy my beloved Birkenstocks and save myself the aggravation of returning to this place.

Wow. I am now a permanent fan and will only buy my birks here. Seriously. It’s unfortunately not all that often that a company/​store does the right thing by their customers. This one did. 10 stars. My first beloved pair of birks needed repairing. Brought them in desperate (I wore them every day in summer), they said they could fix. Great. Bought a new pair. Took me long time (1 or 2 months) to get back to pick up. No shows. Tags must have gotten mixed up. Gave mine to wrong customer or something. Called them back later with receipt/​tag number (because I found it, not it was demanded) and they said they have not been able to find mine and they will replace. I now have a credit on my account for a new pair of Birks. Outstanding! Exactly what should have happened. Thank you!

This store has great staff who are very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Coming from the East Coast and missing my local shoe store, this store more than makes up for it. I love my new Birkenstocks and will definitely be back again soon. Plus, the prices are the same as any I found online, all the more reason to shop local:)

I don’t see a lot of people wear this in Sac. Apparently, in Davis it’s more popular. I saw a Hip-​Hop choreographer on Instagram pulling them off, and I thought to myself, «Well, maybe, JUST maybe I can pull it off, too, depending on the outfit of the day.» Before, even if you’d given me a brand new pair as a gift, I’d probably just donate it, exchange it for something else, or give it to my grandpa (love you, Lolo).
Now, however, I’ve grown to appreciate its casual simplicity and overall style. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on my very own pair. Yes, pricey, but I wanted my first to be authentic (like my first kiss *wink* .just kidding). Ashley C. simply shook her head at the $ 120 price tag. I know, I know! Expensive, but I already told you that. I can’t believe Moses wore these after he parted the Red Sea…
I would’ve settled for a pair in their «Sale» section, which ran from only $ 70-​$ 90, but unfortunately they didn’t have the color and size I wanted.
I’m a size 9 in Men’s, and their 39 fits perfectly. FYI: Their footwear is available in two widths: wide and narrow. I opted for the narrow; it hugged my feet much more comfortably… and my feet needs that TLC ~ yadadamean
Great selection here for men’s and women’s casual footwear. Good customer service. Thanks to them, I now officially rock the Birkenstock. No shame.

The staff here is knowledgable, ultra friendly, and super helpful. They carry some of the most comfortable shoes, including non-​slip for anyone that works in restaurants. Your feet will thank you for shopping here.

These people are so great — I wanted a style and color they didn’t stock and they got it for me the next week! So friendly and helpful.

This place is great! There’s plenty of selection of all brands of shoes high-​quality shoes, including Birkenstock. The owner has been here 28 years, and has plenty of staff on hand to help out (even on a busy Saturday). The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, I would highly recommend coming to this place if you are seeking quality shoes for men and women. Five stars! (Plenty of parking in their private lot and also on 25^th.).

With age comes wisdom and also a sense of community. Hence why I decided to go to this local shop and buy good shoes to celebrate my birthday and acknowledge that I’m not in my 20’s anymore and cheap shoes won’t be good for me. I know that’s a long intro but it took a lot to go in here knowing I’d drop a lot of Benjamins.
Found these adorable Earthies with heels and was excited to inaugurate them for the first time. Well I literally walked five minutes and got blisters. I returned to the store the next day, to my surprise they would not take back the shoes. I showed my blisters and the gal said «you should wear new shoes inside your house for a couple hours to see if they are comfortable». Huh? Are you kidding me. You sell $ 200 shoes without a return policy unless you never wear then outsidee. Hello. They are shoes! If you don’t wear them out how else can you find out that you are uncomfortable? She said store credit is all she can do and then stretched them for me a couple times.
I really really want to support all these small businesses but no where in America are you tied to spending such a huge amount of money without the guarantee of 100% satisfaction. I was unsatisfied all around and hope that small businesses understand their competitors are making money because they know a thing or two about customer service.

Very nice, small, well-​kept shop.
I wandered in on a sunny winter afternoon and there were a few other women perusing the shelves.
A lovely brunette women greeted me and helped me with a few styles. I have wide feed, so only the traditional width Birkenstocks work for me, the ones I was interested in were out of stock in my size and regular width. I tried on a few styles with straps that just didn’t flatter my foot shape.
The woman showed me a page of what will be on their next shipment and told me to stop by again.
It’s kind of out-​of-​the-​way for me and not exactly close to my home, but I may check back with them if I’m not looking for a particular shoe.
