Brunch Boys

Found these guys at Aftershock at Gibson Ranch. The Brunch burger was AMAZING… so good, in fact, that I went back and ate it again for day 2! I can’t wait to enjoy another! Beyond fresh, and the service was wonderful as well.

Saw this place in front of Track7 brewing co and ordered the sweet potato fries. I didn’t like them at all. In my mind I thought I was ordering standard sweet potato fries which the cashier told me they sprinkle with some sugar at the end which I was fine with. When I got the order they had some type of seasoning that tasted like basil. Similar tasting to popcorn chicken at boba tea house in Elk Grove. kinda threw me off. Maybe next time I’ll try something else on the menu… Or not.

Had the crab cake sandwich last night. Oh my god. Delicious. The spicy aioli sauce was the perfect complement to the crab cake. Filling and (did I mention) delicious! Can’t wait to try the other items on the menu.

Chicken and waffle was so good! Best chicken I’ve had in a while :) Can’t wait to try the egg in the hole grilled cheese next time!!!

Amazing food! Check out the crab cake sandwich. It is super juicy and full of flavor. It is also the perfect portion for me!

Fresh and fantastic! Food. Homemade liege waffles that they pair with fried chicken that is crispy and incredibly tasty! Love the Mac and Cheese as well, if you see Brunch Boys I suggest you grab a bite to eat!
They will also sell the waffles individually if you ask, shhhh so Good!

The chicken and waffle with a fried egg is life changing and I’m not just saying that because it was 12:30am and I had a couple drinks in my system. These guys know what the perfect combo between sweet and salty is. Oh and the sweet potatoes fries are also a must… if you have room after that sandwich.

It all started when the guy inside the truck kept yelling out «best in the west ! Best in the west !» My reaction was: «Wait, what?! Let me see about that ! I’ll be the judge !» With a name like brunch boys, who wouldn’t want to give them a try? I love brunch and I most certainly love boys !
I ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich. That spicy bacon aioli is like heaven on earth. If it rained this stuff, I’d be doing the rain dance all day ! Think about it, it would fix our drought problem since instead of raining water, we can have spicy bacon aoli for rain instead. You’re welcome, California ! The fried chicken was crunchy, tender, and delicious ! The waffle? Fluffy, sweet, and oh so decadent!
I wish this truck would come to Anatolia dinner more often because I’m definitely a fan !

The chicken and waffle sandwich really got me! I thought it sounded kind of crazy, but I was so pleasantly surprised! I’ve never had chicken and waffles before, but I expected it to be a little weird. After my first bite, I was blown away. It had the perfect balance of flavors! Not too sweet or too salty. Everything just went well together. The fried egg inside (YUM) AND BACON?! Absolutely delicious. I’ll be back :)

Went on an awesome 8 mile hike in Auburn and decided to go to Knee Deep Brewery after. It turns out that it was a great choice! Great place, great beer and best of all Brunch Boys food truck was there! Everything on the menu sounded great as we were hungry. But it was after 2:00 so we went with the chicken quesadilla. We were not disappointed… great tasting, filled with spicy chicken, not too much cheese and homemade spicy carrots! A really good homemade salsa on the side. We will definitely be tracking these guys down when we can and considering having them cater some parties. Really want to try the chicken and waffle sandwich very soon! Looking forward to seeing them soon!

Delicious! I had the chicken and waffle brunch sandwich and was not disappointed. The waffle was great, not too dense but heavy enough to hold in the fried chicken and egg. The spicy bacon aioli was just right and gave the sandwich a little kick. To top it off the drizzle of maple syrup provided just enough sweetness to balance the spicy aioli. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!

I tried the waffle chicken sandwich. It was on a belgian waffle with, egg (sunnyside), bacon and fried chicken.
There was also some sauce I can’t remember that was on there. Unfortunately the chicken was a bit dry and with their not being maple syrup on the sandwich it made the whole sandwich quite dry. I believe the belgian waffle was the part that was sweet. But overall it could’ve been better if the chicken wasn’t so dry.
I will still come back and try their other options as well.

Chicken and Waffle Sandwich 3.8 — Waffle flavor wasn’t my favorite but chicken was excellent

Went to try them out at 15^th and capitol. They were nice at the window, but had to wait a little longer than expected during lunchtime. I ordered the quesadilla and it came in 3 separate tortillas and some spicy salsa on the side. It was different and had a good chicken flavor. I would definitely order it again. I also had the Mexican chocolate chip cookie for $ 3 dollars. I was disappointed in the cookie because it was hard.

I had been wanting to try this new truck and saw them today at the Capitol Brew Fest. Their menu was a bit limited, but decided to try the macaroni and cheese ($ 7) with the pork belly add-​on ($ 2). It was great! The serving size was generous. There were huge chunks of perfectly cooked pork belly on top of the pasta. The cheese sauce was creamy and had lots of ingredients like onions and bits of meat (more pork belly?) I found their mac-​and-​cheese to be far superior to any other food truck mac-​and-​cheese in town. I get the feeling that these guys want to put out good quality, well made food, not just slap-​out-​a-​sandwich-​as-​cheaply-​as-​possible-​because-​food-​trucks-​are-​popular-​now kind of food. I would visit this truck again and will try something else from their menu — or maybe I’ll get the macaroni and cheese again because I liked it so much!

The Brunch Boys sparked the interest of the workers of Cal Center Drive today! Their menu was reasonably priced, staff super friendly, and food was fantastic. I had the chicken and waffle sandwich and it was sweet, salty, and cheesy. The sandwich had the waffle as the bread, a over medium egg, cheese, bacon, and chicken. Perfect ratio of salty and sweet, no syrup needed. I also got the Mexican chocolate chip cookie; I am not disappointed! It was big and had lots of chocolate chips. After eating, I wish I would of taken a picture to post on here but I was too excited to eat it because it looked really good. 10/​10, would eat again. Next time I’m going to try the chicken quesadilla. A huge gabby you to the brunch guys, hope you come around again soon! :)

New food truck in town, had to give it a try, ordered the apple sausage sandwich, took about 4 minutes to cook, was surprised how quick it took, used to waiting about 15 minutes on my lunch breaks. The sandwich was tasty and filling, loved the sharpness from the dressing I think. Will come back again, chicken and waffle sandwich next: D

New truck in town?! We got to try it out!
Decided to hit up this truck one afternoon for lunch with my co-​workers as it was parked out in front of where we work. It was their grand opening week and there was already a crowd of folks hungry and ready to order. I was one of the first to arrive, and unfortunately had to wait about 15 minutes before I was able to place my order. The site said the truck would arrive at 11:00, but they weren’t ready to serve us until 11:30. I wanted to try their chicken and waffles, but unfortunately their fuse burnt out that morning and the item was taken off the menu. With the limited-​option menu, I decided to try the Chop Chop Salad with added black chicken for $ 2 more. The salad was fulfilling. Ample amount of lettuce with generous portions of toppings such as eggs, ham, olives, red bell peppers, and carrots. I peeked into my box before returning to my desk and noticed only a small container of blue cheese dressing that was seriously not enough for this huge salad! I asked for an extra container of dressing and the gal was nice enough to offer it to me at no charge. I asked for onions in my salad and unfortunately they don’t carry onions on their truck. :(The salad was a bit, overwhelming. I wish they would offer a selection of dressing to choose from as the blue cheese dressing was a bit too tangy for my liking and did not compliment the salad well. The grilled chicken was very tasty and probably the best item on my salad. It was very flavorful and juicy… definitely worth the extra $ 2! I couldn’t taste the roastyness in the roasted red peppers; they were cold (at least by the time I got back to my desk) and there wasn’t much flavoring to it.
I’m glad there is finally a new food truck that comes around our area! It’s nice to look forward to something new once in a while. The staff working inside the truck were very friendly! However, I think they were well understaffed considering it was a 25 minute wait from ordering to picking up my food. Considering a lot of us like myself only have a 30 minute lunch break, we definitely wasn’t expecting the wait to be this long. (But props to the workers sweating bullets and busting their butt off in the kitchen!!) There were even people who were asking for a refund because the food was taking too long! (Wish they could at least be understandable!) Anywho, I would definitely come back around to try out their chicken and waffles the next time they’re around! And hopefully it won’t be as long as a wait! :P
