I have been going to this location for years. I buy and pawn the jewelry is nice quality and a good price, plus they work with you and have layaway. My only compliant is pawning stones they don’t pay what it’s worth. I continue to go back at least every other month, and have always had very good customer service

I had high hopes for this stop on my journey to find my boyfriend a reasonably priced piano with weighted keys and was very disappointed. I found a listing on Craigslist for a Yamaha clavinova for 300 dollars. I called to insure that the piano was there and in working order. I was assured on both counts. An hour and a half later I was greeted with an older greying man who showed us a keyboard with a broken key. He informed us that someone had dropped a guitar on the piano 2 days ago and told us we could talk down the price. He walked away to check how much he could price it down while erasing the Craigslist post(it was down by the time we left the shop) we offered 120 and he was extremely rude to us, telling us that«well I could date the bosses daughter and take over the company but that isn’t going to happen either I’m just an employee» very sarcastic when we were giving a reasonable beginning bargaining price(he said he could do 200 but no less) especially since the quality is questionable-other keys could have and most likely got ruined as well in the drop. Watch out for this place! I told him I called in and no one mentioned the broken key. And his excuse was«I just got here» all we want is a simple I’ll make sure people know!): I would give 0 stars if I could-horrible customer service, lying about the condition of the instrument, and lack of any sympathy for someone who drove out of their way and just wanted to ensure no one else did the same.

I usually like to pay compliments when I go to establishments that provide good customer service a good value. I suppose leaving a review for a pawn shop is actually a little silly because most of them take the«buy low, sell high» statement to the extreme. I tested that theory today because I had a couple of gold coins I wanted to sell. I used to collect coins many years ago, so I would say I’m not naïve when it comes to buying and selling coins, gold or silver scrap, etc. As I was expecting, the guy that was at the counter wearing a supervisor tag had to make a few phone calls in order to get me a price. on a side note I had already done my research and found that spot gold had closed today at $ 1, 400 plus change… After wasting both of our time, he finally offered me approximately $ 620 off of spot value… uhm, seriously? Look, the problem with these places is they try to take advantage of those that are either in a tough spot or too naïve to know when they’re getting ripped off. Yea, the guy said they have to make a profit, in which I would whole heartedly agree. Off the top of my head I think that’s almost a 25% profit margin give or take. Hey, if you need the money fast and don’t really care about how much they offer you because you stole it then by all means take your precious metals here. But if you want a fair price but also allows the owner to make a fair percentage, go elsewhere…

I don’t know how people can feel like they got a fair price when the guy behind the counter Dan I think his name was flat out tells you that the price they value your stuff at is from prices off of Ebay. Now for those who are not familiar with Ebay it is a site where you sell your own items and you set the asking price. A brand new laptop with all new programs they wanted to give me $ 65 and for my IHome for the new IPhone $ 10 because someone on Ebay was selling theirs for $ 18. WOW!!! Is all I can say! Very rude and they started talking in code using little acronyms when my sister reminded them that with Ebay you set the asking price.

This is the only pawn shop that I will go to when I am in need of cash. Capital City Loan & Jewelry helped me out when I was short on my car payment. They were super friendly and courteous and loaned me just what needed to get by until my next pay check. All I had to do was bring in my gold bracelet and laptop. It was so much easier than I could have imagined. They take a large variety of items in on loan or you can sell it. If I’m ever in a bind again I would definitely go back and see them. Thank you so much for helping me when I needed it the most!
