I frequent this place, probably been here 100 times. I’m not a bad poker player. I end up walking away with money at least 80 percent of the time. But I’ve had it with this card room. They have, and I’m not exaggerating, 20+ prop poker players in here. They work in teams and just destroy people foolish enough to come out to this place. The staff is wonderful. Most of the dealers are fun and pleasant. It’s a great place to come and talk to nice people. But they will take all your money. If you want to play against half the table working in cahoots. come here. Again, wonderful people, but it will cost you your bankroll.

This is for the unprofessional and not very well-trained security guard that worked there 1÷6÷16 around 1am. An overweight black male security. I’ve been to Capital Casino a hand full of times and that’s because I’m always the one being dragged over by my friends. Most, if not all of them play poker there. It was late wed night around 1 o’clock when me and my 3 friends decided to grab some food there after coming from a bar. One friend went ahead and grabbed a table for us while I waited for my other two friends to get out the car. As we were walking in, the security guard stopped me and jokingly comment on me being drunk. So I laughed it off and smile. Like ok? Anyways, so I kept walking then he goes, «seriously, if it seems like you’re a little buzz or drunk I can’t let you in.» I’m like, excuse me? I asked him what made u think that? He said because I was wobbling in! That to me was so ridiculous because I was the actual sober one in the group. I’m not going to lie, I had 2 drinks hoursss prior! Believe me, I was calm and tried to explain to him how I was NOT drunk and that all we wanted to do was just eat. We were NOT planning on drinking more if that was his concern. I know he’s just doing his job but that was a VERYBAD judgement call. I was not sloppy what’s so ever, my face was Not even pink or red! And to justify himself, he also mention that we were drunk because we took a LYFT there. Excuse me for being a responsible person and making a smart decision on my part. He was calling me out out of the 3 of us! 2girls and 1 guy. You would probably think I’m the male in this situation but nope I’m actually one of the girls. My friends had more drinks than I did! Even if so, we all walked in casually… Like normal people. It was raining and maybe I did try to avoid the puddles outside? Maybe that’s why he assume I was wobbling? It’s funny because two guys walked in not too long after us and were obviously drinking. You can tell just by looking at their red faces. Umm and did he stop him? NO. Not to mention he said I smelled like alcohol. Isn’t the casino located in downtown? I’m sure 90% of your customer comes strolling in from a bar! Let me remind you, it’s only a wed! Wasn’t even on a weekend! He’s now making excuses to save himself. Of course I talked to the floor manager that night. She was no help and of course what the security says she can’t override. Understandable, if you’re all coworkers you’re obligated to agree with one other whether they’re right or wrong! I talked to one of the workers on the front desk and I thank her for hearing me out. I’m sure her and a few employees disagree with his decision. I think he was picking on me just because at the same moment he was kicking out 2 other guys that were already inside for drinking too much and decided to stop me because i just had walked in! I honestly felt like he was going to change his mind but he didn’t. He’s a male and security guard. His ego is already high and taking back what he said will kill it. I hope the upper management see this Unilocal review. I would not lie about this and taking the time to write this detailed review. If this review mysteriously disappeared then no worries I’ll copy and paste it again. I want everyone to know what I experience that night. I want you guys to check the cameras that night if i really«wobbled» in. Cameras don’t lie. Such a bad judgement call. I was really upset and definitely gave him a piece of my mind. Such a horrible experience. Every time we eat there we actually take care of your servers. 20%tip sounds nice? Well not anymore! Believe me, this is going to get around.

This is our go to spot now after a night out in midtown. It’s open 24⁄7 and the food has always been really good. I love their salt&pepper dishes and they also have really good won ton soup! The staff has always been friendly and comes by often for refills and to check up on things.

Came here for my coworkers’ birthday celebration. Parking lot was small and packed tight. One of the coworkers had to park down the street. A lot of drinks were ordered, and appetizers. The waitress was very patient and kept up with our orders. We were a rowdy group, with a total of 7 people. Had the jukebox playing half of the time we were there, which was from 8pm-2am. Lol. I ordered potstickers, crab cheese wontons, and a plate of the beef shortribs. Delicious. Better than some restaurants I’ve tried. I want to explore more of the menu, especially since I work down the street. :)

Whether its breakfast, lunch, or late night dinner the food at Capital Casino is delicious! Love to come and have one of they’re amazing omelets for breakfast or the philly steak sandwhich for lunch and I can’t forget about the amazing asian cuisine they serve late night. It can get quite busy there so be patient. The waitresses there in the mornings could be a little more aware of the customer… theres always a bit of a wait when im trying get a simple drink refill. Just a small complaint but all in all a great place to dine anytime of day!

This review is for the food/service! :) I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s about time I throw down a review! I must note – when you walk in – you can choose to sit in the bar area or in the café area. In my opinion, you will receive better service in the bar area. The bar area is a bit more dim, with about 4⁄5 big screen tvs. The café is bright and has s tiny tv in the corner. We chose to sit in the café last night. The server seemed out of it. Sounded like she didnt get a chance to eat lunch because they were so busy? We put our order in. Appetizers came, one of our friend’s entrée came. 30 minutes later we asked about our second entrée. She said she didnt know we ordered an additional entrée. Come on! There are 3 of us – wouldn’t you think we would want more food??? Regardless – about the food: My all time favorite dish here is the Mongolian beef over steam rice. Delicious flavoring. Green onions and crisp white onions add to the flavor. But quite often – they have more veggies than meat in this entrée :(. I have tried the fried spicy green beans. My dad absolutely loves it! Crunchy and yummy served with a tasty dip, too! Fried calamari is good. Menu says it is served with fried onions. Last night, it was served with fried strips of zucchini and bellpepper. I actually liked that better than the onions! The bf is in love with their chipotle burger. I must admit – it’s a damn good burger! You have a choice of a side of fries, a salad, or soup. Have tried their potstickers – have a bit too much of ginger in them O_o. Their veggie spring rolls – good! Quite fresh. Overall – good! Will most likely be back because of tgeir pricing, hours, and good tasting food.

I had a good experience here. I was a little worried about the smoke before I went in but it wasn’t bad. I’m not sure what the smoking policy is but everyone seemed to be smoking outside. It’s a smaller casino but it wasn’t overly crowded. There was space at the Blackjack table, that’s all I really care about. There was a poker tournament in one of the rooms. It seemed to be a cool older crowd. I had a beer and some snacks in the lounge. The bartender was friendly and we chatted for a while. The beer was cold and the snacks were filling. They have some great frosted beer mugs too! I like this place. It has a friendlier more laid back vibe than those bigger casinos.

What keeps me coming back? The proximity. I live downtown. What keeps me coming back? The«Bust Bet» and«Reds» features while playing blackjack. What keeps me coming back? The food in the café. Pretty damn good! What keeps me coming back? Stories likes this one… About a week ago, a guy came in to play blackjack and starting giving the dealer money for chips. He suddenly snatches back one of the twenties and shouts, «Give that one back. There’s weed in that one.» Quick tip: The burgers are good. Pretty damn good. A half a pound of Angus goodness.

Where should I start? Let’s see… you got a list of nine players with a backup list of three call-ins for a second game, but the floor person rather chat with the floating dealers. Start a game perhaps? Nah. Why make money for the house? It’s not like they collect full rake for six players. Game might break if you start it? Please. I mean if you’re going to have a small cardroom with only small limit games; then at least let those lounging around the empty tables into a game that would be started by 95% plus of the other floor people in the universe. Cute little promos here and there for the local, recreational players, but I don’t understand why anybody who is trying to grind for real would waste their time here.

Before JADE began working here, I would have probably given this place 4 stars. This generally is the spot my friends and I go after a night downtown. However, JADE has ruined EVERY single experience for my group and I this summer. JADE is the most rude, demeaning, aggressive dealer I have come across. JADE is actually losing this business money. She clears the table EVERY time(I have been there), calls you a «f***ing idiot» under her breath when you lose, has made all of my friends and myself feel VERY unwelcomed and uncomfortable with her demeaning comments and eye rolls, and JADE has literally hit a card for me when I did not ask her to. It may very well be that she is just a jealous/angry person towards other young people, but I don’t believe this is the case, given that her co-workers have encouraged me every time to notify the manager of her inappropriate behavior, so it must be towards everyone. I truly hope this business gets smart and realizes that it is not worth having people such as JADE working for them, because JADE will ruin their reputation. Word of mouth has a powerful impact for businesses, and I will reach out to every person and outlet possible letting them know it it’s worth going up the street to another casino just to avoid the unpleasant experience JADE provides. *Emphasis of her name purposefully added*

Stopped here for something to eat after a long night of drinking. See the same faces here and food is good on the right night. I ordered the Beef ribs and fried rice this time and my friends had Phở and the salt and pepper pork. Had some of their food too. Everything was good. I cleared my plate like in 5 min. I think was really hungry. I would give it 5 stars, but sometimes they got some ppl up in there that needs to be kicked out. Loud and obnoxious. I guess drunk ppl got to eat too. One time I went to the bathroom and there was a homeless lady sleeping on the floor.

My last review still largely stands, but it looks like they’ve cleaned up the place a bit. Last time I was there, several security guards were present. Nice work.

Came here last night around 1:45AM, ordered our food at 2:00AM… Didn’t get served until 3:00AM! I know it was pretty packed there last night since all of the late night party goers had come here to eat but, seriously??? ANHOURWAITFOROURFOOD!!! Other tables that had come in after us already received their meals before us… This place definitely needs NEWANDIMPROVEDMANAGEMENT!!! The cooks are way too slow at making the food, our server didn’t know what we had ordered and kept asking several times… It was just a HUGEMESS! This was honestly my LASTTIME eating here! My beef chow fun wasn’t even all that great. Pretty bland and the meat was a bit dry – definitely not worth $ 8.75!!! If you’re looking for late night Chinese food– BLUEMOON or even Yummy Juice is better. Both open LATE and you won’t have to wait an hour or more for your food!!!

So, I went to the bar and the people were great, atmosphere was relaxed UNTIL Tanya stepped into the kitchen area and started calling the cooks names in Spanish; loudly. I was so offended because it was so rude! I called the owners a few days later, no way to leave a message so then I called the manager on duty and the staff couldn’t find the manager. Needless to say I still hang out here but when I see Tanya I head for the hills. If her idea of team work and group cohesiveness is to talk in a different language that she thinks patrons don’t understand that is rude and abusive, that will cause me to spend my local money elsewhere.

Good consistent food and good value. Specialty entrees are anything on the asian menu which is served nightly starting at 5 pm. I am a regular player at this casino and have eaten just about everything on the menu. Never had a bad meal but on the flip side I’ve never had an outstanding one here either. If you’re looking for a large menu at a place that is dependable and good value this is the place to go.

I love the Asian menu! Man when hoa viet is too crowded, you should come here instead. The fried pepper shrimp is so delicious that you may not want to share. A few friends and I came here and I have say the dishes we had was so delicous! Trust me, there was no leftovers. I really did not feel comfortable in the parking lot. It seems too dark. I wished the lighting would increase. I did not get a chance to checkout the game tables, But I noticed a player eating phở while playing at the table. That was pretty intense.

The graveyard floorman named Greg is clumsy and has an attitude. He gets pissy when he is losing on the poker table while subbing in to prevent the game from breaking. One time he told me he «doesnt care if I am playing or not». He never smiles. When was the last time you saw him smile? Clark, you should fire Greg, or at least tell him how to provide friendly customer service. Its terrible and I am not playing there anymore as long as grumpy Greg is still working there.

From my experience this is the only place that is open for phở after hours. There is plenty to do when it comes to gambling but it is the spot for Phở. PHO isn’t great. But their mandarin chicken is really really good. I also like their spring rolls with peanut sauce. As for the atmosphere there really isnt much too it. It is a casino filled with gamblers and night owls. Easy route from Downtown Sacramento.
