Staff was very nice. I really liked that they have complete sets of older comics bundled so it’s a very easy way to add to your collection or buy a full set of something for someone else without all the digging.

This is one of the first comic book places I have seen in my area since I was young. This place has a really laid back and chill environment. I like the staff and are really helpful and knowledgeable when you need something. It is fairly old and isn’t quite modern. They have about anything a comic book should have. TCG (YGO, M: TG, Pokemon). Star Wars figurines, Warhammer stuff, and a lot more. They have tables for games as well. They also have a wide variety of comic books new and old. The only thing I would say negative about this place is that their back issues are not completely organized. If everything was organized and sorted out better, I am sure there will be a lot of hidden gems found.

The owner, Gene, is always willing to help & they have a wide variety of books to choose from. If you’re into card games then this place will suit you fine.

This is an awesome comic store that also sells board games and action figures. The prices are very reasonable and there are lots of cool rarities to be found

If you are looking for a basic comic store to get your first comic this is nice. A very laid back bunch, not so much a comic store but more of place people come to play card games. Probably the first time I found a comic store with so many unpriced comics. The price is looked up at the register from a comic guide, I’m not personally familiar with that method so it struck me as odd.

I’ve known Gene for practically my whole life. His wife used to work with my mom and I remember the day very clearly when he bought Comics and Collectibles. I was in front of him in line and bought a Pokemon booster where I pulled a first edition charizard and basically had a heart attack only for him to walk up and say «I want to buy this store.» From then on I was hooked. 10 – 12 years ago it was massively kid friendly and a very popular hangout for Warhammer or table top games. There will always be a place in my heart for Comics and Collectibles.

This is by-​far my favorite Sacramento area comic book store. The owner, Gene, is always willing to help find something (even if it was right in front of me, and I missed it). He’s willing to search backstock for me and find old issues I need, and will order anything I want that he doesn’t have.
Yes, this is a comic book store. Yes, I am a woman. That doesn’t stop me from going there to just hang out with the crowd and have good conversation, or just enjoy the atmosphere. This is a true comic book shop, and it feels like home to me.

I started coming here when I moved to South Land Park two years ago. I live a half-​hour away now, but I still buy my weekly comics here. Gotta support the good places, and this is one of them. It’s a great store – always felt comfortable and laid-​back.

I’ve been bringing my 16 yr old son here since he was about 7. A trip to C&C was a reward for being good. The owner is very knowledgeable about all things comic and after all these years, he still seems happy to see us when we walk in the door and he takes the time to introduce my son to new products. The place is not the fanciest in town, but the organization seems to work. My son can always find what he wants. I always appreciated how the comics for the younger set were separate from the items for the more mature shoppers — and the owner would always engage my son and make sure he found something «cool» in the appropriate section. My review is largely from my sons’ perspective. As a mom, I really don’t like going inside C&C. My son and I argue that if he has to go into Ulta with me to make up shop, I have to endure C&C with him. There’s often a pretty good crowd in the place, some playing board games, others are shoppers. It’s a haven for the comic lovers! If you go there, say hi, I’m the middle aged lady sitting in the corner playing Candy Crush on my phone!

Came in today found a marvel super heroes secret wars 8 in Vf grade and other comics in the backstock. I was unable to get any sort of definite pricing for the purchase. The owner was called on the phone and the sales clerk used the overstreet price guide. The shop owner wanted near mint pricing for a Vf. Found a couple of other ASM comics with no additional price tags so assumed it was normal backstock. Since I found it in the backstock area, should at least be discounted. I understand that I wouldn’t be paying cover price, but it should be as graded and with pricing so I won’t have to come back again. Won’t be shopping here again. Left without purchasing anything.

Awesome little store. Was in here to grab the last Satellite Sam on release day. Metropolis comics had already sold out. People were welcoming and friendly. Plus they had what I wanted which always rocks.

Five star service, great selection and the best, bookshop in California. If you Want that mom and Pop excellent service this is the store for you.

I’ve been going here for years, since Stan Lee wrote his first comic or Jim Lee, either way its a great place. The owner, Gene, is always there to help out, find what you want and provide top notch service. If its comics, card games, statues and anything else that you’d expect from a comic shop, they’ll have it for you at Comics and Collectibles. Oh yeah, the carpet is steller, ha.

Back story: I’ve been removed from the comic book game for over 10 years now and decided to get back into it again. I used to go to this place back in the day with my older bro. I used to love spending my brother’s paycheck there. Ha! I enjoyed going there. The place looked like it did back then, but only cleaner.
The Good: First let me talk about the positives about this place. This place is huge and has a huge selection to go with it. Place looks like it holds a decent size crowd for gaming and other things. Well organized.
The Bad: I’ve been in there twice and twice I’ve felt like I was a bother to them. Since I’ve gotten back into comics, I’ve been going to other comic shops around the area and I’ve received much better customer service than I received here. The two times I’ve entered the store I’ve said hello to the staff that was there at the time and never once from the two visits have I gotten a friendly greeting from them… that’s just common courtesy. No one came up to see if I needed help or anything like that, looked like I was a bothersome to them and that I was interfering with them trying to jump into a game of some sorts with the regulars that were there. They are totally lacking the basics in costumer service unless you’re a regular there.
I’ve read some of the other positive reviews about this place and how great this place is. I wish I could have written a positive review, but from my recent experience I cannot. They get the 1 star for the huge selection and they get the other 1(which should really be a half star) star for the lack of common customer service. I would like to give this place another chance maybe third time is the charm, but not in the near future. It just sucks because I used to go to this place back in the day an enjoyed going there. It all just comes down to customer service for me. I never felt welcomed during my time there

I’ve been visiting various comic book shops within the Sacramento area and I finally decided to drop by here during my free time. I was welcomed by one of the workers, which I believe was the owner and he directed me to the new releases of the week. Their entire wall of comics was really good to see and they have a great variety. They even had a nice selection of variant covers that I haven’t seen in person. They had a large wall of X-​Men back issues and had tons of back issues of different types of comics. Definitely a friendly staff and a chill place to look for comics. Will definitely drop in when new issues are released. Check this place out.

A mix of Rush and Tool on the stereo, a big space set aside for a very active group of gamers, and not a girl to be found within blocks of the place. Yes my friends, we’re in a comic book shop!
I brought my son here hoping to share a little son-​dad-​super hero time. This shop does a good job of supporting the rookie with a good supply of the DC and Marvel basics. They also have a supply for that next level and several of the comic niches. Nice people, odd hours, and worth seeking out.

The store needs a good cleaning! The carpet is always dirty and things are never organized. A few years ago the store looked really nice. The staff is nice, knows his comics.

Four stars because of the friendly staff and well stocked inventory. Never had problems with my saver, and gotta love that 20% discount.

I really like this shop and have had a «saver box» there for over six years. The employees are very friendly and will do their best to special order things for you. There’s usually some sort of gaming going on when I go in. I don’t play anything myself, but I think it adds a nice element to the store and if you are into that sort of thing, you might want to go there.
