Prohibition Era Cocktails

Speakeasy Blues and Jazz

Burlesque/Cabaret.

History

Established in 2010.

Crescent Club is Sacramento’s first Speakeasy” located in the lower level of Governor Newton Booth’s Historic Mansion. This is the original stret level during the Gold Rush, and the official birthplace of California. Crescent Club is a unique and intriguing space, with the look and feel of an authentic Speakeasy. The New Year’s Eve Roaring 20’s Event was amazing, complete with a Speakeasy Casino, and even a police raid. We are currently open weekends for casual drinks, and/or private events. Crescent Club serves authentic Prohibition Era Cocktails, and plays prohibition era swing, blues, and jazz… No live music until February/March. Big Party for Mardi Gras.

Meet the Business Owner

Mike W.

Business Owner

We opened Café Americain, Sacramento’s first Champagne & Caviar House, in December of 2009. We both love champagne and Caviar, as well as Raw Foods, as part of a fine dining experience. We are also intrigued and fascinated by America’s Prohibition Era, & the Roaring 20’s…A year after opening Café Americain, we established Crescent Club, the area’s First Underground Speakeasy. Crescent Club Speakeasy is located on the lower level, downstairs from Café Americain, in Governor Newton Booth’s Historic Mansion @ 1023 Front Street. The official Speakeasy entrance is off the alley in the back, @ 1150 Firehouse Alley. It is a 6000 square foot facility, and it shares a 2000 foot courtyard with Café Americain. It is an intrigunig space, full of broken brick, and ancient architecture, all of which we have exposed and highlighted. I don’t think I have seen a more authentic Speakeasy. The New Year’s Eve «Roaring 20’s» Grand Opening event sold out, & we are now looking forward to Mardi Gras.
