Adorable food that is delicious and fairly priced! I’ve always had a good experience and take my friends here first when they visit from LA. Love it here!

Great tiny donuts, and a super fair price. 4 for 2 dollars. The lady at the counter wasn’t very charismatic if anything she was very quiet and didn’t really help the process. It would be nice if they had something to take them to go that was covered. Maybe they did, but the counter never offered. I would come again though.

Just went to visit Danny’s Donuts in Old Sacramento and the mother fuckers wouldn’t let me park my bike inside just for 2 seconds so I can get 4 donuts. There wasn’t anybody in the damn place yet they want to be dicks about it. I told them that I have cancer and because of the extra weight of locks and tools and stuff I can’t carry that with me when I ride. I’m never going to go back there again those inconsiderate fucking cocksuckers

Great mini donuts in Old Sac! If you happen to get an order of mini donuts fresh out of the fryer, they are super delicious. 5 stars. However, if you happen to get the mini donuts after they have been sitting in the warmer for awhile, they are still good, but not as spectacular. Maybe 3.5−4 stars. When I came here, I got 2 dozen«been sitting in the warmer» mini donuts. They were not fresh out of the fryer, but still pretty good. Loved all the flavors — chocolate, powdered sugar, glazed, and cinnamon sugar, but probably chocolate the best, followed by cinnamon sugar. One thing I really like about this place is that they let me use my Groupon even after the expiration date. Great customer service! They also offer you a sample of a cinnamon sugar mini donut. I’ve been to Old Sac many times before, but never seen this donut shop before until I bought a groupon. Old Sac is already very charming and Danny’s mini donuts definitely adds to the charm and fun of experiencing old Sacramento.

Well, not too much to say other than the mini doughnuts are awesome. Parking is free around the location before 10AM. Great time to walk around Old Sac before the crowds.

Came here and my boyfriend loves donut, does not matter where. Heard about this place and it was at downtown??? Had to go. They are soooooo cute, the female workers complimented us. We tried the cinnamon sugar, chocolate drizzled and we can also do our toppings to our likings. Very good!

Donuts were fresh. Tasted nice. Chocolate was not good quality though. Across from museum so a good place for kiddos to grab snacks.

Hey its Old Sacramento where you can find all sorts of goodies. The automatic mini donut machine is pretty cool but you gotta eat them right away or they won’t taste good later. It’s not a bad, just not great either.

We got the 16 pcs of mini donuts for $ 6! We had half glazed and half cinnamon sugar and it was made on the spot! Soft, tasty donuts! They’re sooooo cute! I can’t! They had all kind of concoction. Powdered sugar, chocolate glazed, sprinkles! Danny was really friendly and we were given samples while we try to decide how many donuts and which kind we wanted. It only made our decision easier. Give us ALLTHEDONUTS! Lol!

Right off of 2nd St. in old sac town. I was sitting at a table with a group of friends right outside this shop and I did not even see it behind me. I was running my mouth about donuts and I was directed to the sign. Checked Unilocal real quick and it has 4.5 stars! That’s an automatic visit by my Unilocal standards. I went inside and there was a line that moved quickly. People were either ordering ice cream or the mini donuts. Since I was with a group of my lady friends I placed two orders of 8 donuts, vanilla and powdered sugar. The donuts come right off the conveyor belt fryer and right into the tray. Then I noticed they sold mini-pies. The young lady had me at baked fresh daily. I took all that goodness with a bunch of long toothpicks and shared with my group. They were all delighted to see the goodies but at the same time were cursing me for placing all of the treats in front of them(I just fed them a bunch of poutine and chili fries right before). I told them eating was optional but there was no resistance to the donuts and pie. Great treat to have when visiting old sac. Happy eating!

Donuts were ok. Not the best customer service either. No one said thank you and they were slow. I guess after eating at other shops(I won’t name names) I’ve just had better. A lot better. Don’t pay full price either if you have to buy. They usually always have a groupon going and the owner will give you the same discount if you don’t buy from groupon so he can save on the fees.

So… my boyfriend doesn’t really like sweets(which I promise is relevant). The other day he came home raving about these mini donuts he had in old sac, at a place which I always knew was there, but had never tried since I rarely go to that part of town. He immediately took me the next day and insisted we a buy a bag of 16 donuts, which I thought was excessive, but he was paying and he was insistent! We stuck with the basic cinnamon sugar, because there is actually nothing basic about that flavor combo, and we grabbed a bag from the awesome dude(Danny himself perhaps?) who was frying them on the spot in a mini fryer using chop sticks to carefully flip them for perfect crispness. They also had powdered sugar, chocolate glaze and vanilla glaze options and some other ice cream based confections. We walked out and sat at a table over by the river… and then… it happened… some of the best donuts of my life! Perfectly warm, crisp but light and airy, and tossed in delicious cinnamon sugar! Amazing! My boyfriend then confessed to me that the day before he bought a bag of 8 thinking it would be too much, walked down the street eating them, and then promptly made a u-turn only to return minutes later to buy another bag of 8 more. By the time we got there, he was already a regular! Long story long, please go here! Amazing donuts, friendly service, reasonable prices, and plenty of awesome spots to sit and enjoy the beautiful city of Sacramento, along with the amazing treats Its local food vendors have to offer.

Who doesn’t love donuts? And small donuts as a little treat sounds even better. We ran across this place while walking around Old Sacramento. There was a line out the door so we had to try it out. 4 donuts for $ 2 sounds good to me. We got the chocolate ones and they were tasty!

OMGOMGOMG. I had some time to kill before friends arrived, so I couldn’t help but smell the wafting order of these delicious and just adorable tiny donuts come over me while I sat across the street in front of the train museum. I was helpless and succumbed easily to the temptation. I tried the iced ones and swooned. That sugary high — can’t beat it. Fortunately, we spent the afternoon walking around the area which negated the calories(not), but definitely stop by and just have a few.

Best place for fresh mini donuts! I first visited this place on 10÷23÷15 and got 2 dozen of the mini donuts. Cinnamon sugar and chocolate flavored. They were phenomenal! Came back again today for another 2 dozens. Got a mix of all the flavors, and they all tasted good, but I prefer the cinnamon sugar flavor. It was amazing watching the little donuts being made. Took one star away just because the worker on 10÷23÷15 didnt really seem like she liked her job. She wasn’t enthusiastic and content, but just mellow. 10÷24÷15 she was working with another employer and they both seemed mellow. They greeted me and were very polite, yet I didn’t feel their welcoming. Other than that, delicious donuts. I’ll definitely be back.

It was 96 degrees so we passed on the donuts. I’m so sad because I was really looking forward to trying them. Instead we tried the ice cream. $ 1.75 a scoop, how can you pass this up? This is the cheapest I’ve seen in ages. I can a caramel praline one and it was delicious. Caramel ribbons throughout. My kind of ice cream. I got it in a cup so it wouldn’t melt and slide off the cone. They have a selfie booth in the store. I didn’t try it but, it looked fun. We went downstairs and sat on the fountains edge while we ate. This was a perfect treat after the train museum. It’s across the street and at that angle you can’t miss it. After we left a block up we got a coupon for a free donut sample. I was sad as I would have loved one when we were in the store. The free sample did not encourage us to return as it was just too hot and it was a block back the other direction.

I’d choose Danny’s over Krispy Kreme any day. Danny’s Mini Donuts was probably the first establishment I saw upon entering Old Sacramento. It was late afternoon(around 6:45pm), so we were thinking we’d get dinner first then stop by Danny’s for dessert. When we asked Danny what time he closes, he said usually 7pm, but depending on the crowd, up to 8pm. At that point, we decided to grab some mini donuts then and there. Danny himself is super sweet and kind, ready to give out a free sample and patient while you decide on your order. The donuts are small, simple, and delicious, and extremely reasonably priced. They kind of remind me of old-fashioned donuts. Just choose your topping – sprinkles are on the house. Since they’ll probably be fresh, take care not to burn your mouth. Highly recommended!

Extremely sugary pastries This small shop serves the smallest«donuts» I’ve ever seen – they are more like the size of donut-holes rather than donuts. Don’t let the small size fool you though – the donuts are twice as sweet as regular donuts, and packed with a Crazy amount of sugar. It tasted like eating a pastry made purely of nothing but sugar, wrapped in syrup. On the upside, the price is relatively low, so if you happen to walk by, definitely try to order the smallest option(a small container’s worth of donuts) for a taste!
