I had my family of 4 at this practice. As much as I like Dr. DaSilva, I have switched to a new PCP. My husband was seen with a severe rash yesterday at the West Sac location since Dr. Dasilva was booked up. He then called the office and spoke to the lady in the call center. The pharmacist needs to speak with the doctor before they can prescribe my husband his Rx. The call center lady said the doctor was out till Monday and there was nothing she could do to help. My husband would have to wait till Monday for Rx.
Are you our of your mind? Wait till Monday, with a itchy burning, oozing rash? Ummm no. She was incredibly rude to my husband. So I called and asked to have another doctor call and she said no. She would try to have triage call my husband. Said it with no care. Didn’t try to help us at all. And was rude to me as well. So I called my insurance, let them know just what the practice did and they switched my PCP right then and there. I had a friend warn me about yhis practice. I should have listened.
So I will be letting all my friends and family know what they think of their patients and how they make them wait a whole weekend for their Rx’s. Ummm you might want to look into getting a new call center worker. Cause I’m not the only one that feels this way.
Terrible practice. Stay away. Find someone else. Unless you like waiting days for your Rx.

So I was a patient there for about 3 years. The service has always been subpar. Although appointments were easy to get they were always overbooked, the nurse practitioners except their newest one, was incompetent. The office staff were rude and did not follow patient privacy laws. Follow ups and referrals to specialists took forever and you had to constantly call to make sure they were being done. Lastly, the physicians need to care for their patients for more than 10 minutes and get off of those laptops and connect with your patients. At all visits there was more attention paid to «documenting» our encounter for reimbursement I am sure rather than really practicing medicine. I have wised up and found a new doctor that will take the time to listen and provide me the care I deserve and pay for. If you have the ability to switch to a new provider/​office than do and if you are looking for a new doctor avoid this office.

Please go elsewhere if you are assigned this doctor. I am very glad that I didn’t have a serious illness during the 2 years I was see Dr. Dasilva because I’m sure I would have died waiting for someone from the office to return a message about a test result or a refill request. Just a snapshot: 3 months to get results from a blood panel, where I discovered an abnormal result (Dr. Dasilva actually warned me that it would take at least a month for results); 3 weeks waiting for a response to a refill request after my pharmacy faxed their request 5 times, called, then I called 3 times, and then sat in the waiting room refusing to leave until someone responded (this happened every time I had to refill meds – about 5 times over 2 years). Note: the request was not denied – there was just no response. In general, the office staff tries to be helpful, but I got the same response, over and over again – they took the message, but the doctor had not responded yet.
After two years of this, I was able to switch doctors in another system. Now, my refill requests get dealt with within 24 hours. My test results are e-​mailed to me within 12 hours. My doctor actually acts like she cares about my health and well being. So glad my nightmare is over. Everyone deserves better care than this.

I wish I was able to give no stars. I have been this doctor for many years. I am finally fed up with their over booking of appointments and their impersonal staff. I was scheduled for an appointment at 10am. I arrived at 950am. I was not seen until 11:45 and I walked out of the office at 1210pm. THAT IS EXTREMELY CRAZY! I HAVE OTHER THINGS TO DO THAN STAY AND HANG OUT AT A DOCTORS OFFICE! What is their point of scheduling an appointment if they dont keep to their own time? But have the nerves to tell me if I am late or a no show. I have to pay $ 25.00 LOL. I am done with this place.

I have been with this practice a few months. I have met Dr Dasilva at 3 of my 4 visits. She was extremely courteous and listened to me. She actually carefully looked into several of the problems I was having instead of just poo pooing them or trying to give me a pill like other dr’s I have had. I have recommended her to several family members. The staff is also very kind. On the down side the office is slightly run down, but not too bad, and there tends to be a wait even if you have an appointment. But for a doctor who listens and cares and a very nice staff I say it still deserves 5 stars. Thank you.

I believe I’ve been a «patient» of Dasilva’s for two-​three years now… and I’m not sure if I’ve ever actually met her.
Every time I go in, I see a physician’s assistant. THEY are wonderful on a whole, attentive and kind.
Dasilva? I can’t say, because again– I don’t even remember if I’ve ever met the woman.
The people at the front counters are very nice as well, but the waits on the phone are sometimes ridiculous (10 – 15 minutes minimum on most days to even speak to someone).
It’s a hassle to get a message to Dasilva, and I’m currently fighting tooth and nail to get her to fax a prescription to a mail order pharmacy for me.
I’ve been on the prescription for YEARS, and after a change in my insurance, was forced onto the generic because of cost ($ 15 copay up to $ 200). They did a prior authorization (took almost a month, and only went through when my INSURANCE COMPANY called the doctor’s office with me on the line, forcing them to respond.).
Now it’s been almost another month of calling, waiting, calling, waiting, to get Dasilva to send the prescription to the mail company.
If you feel like you can deal with long wait times for things as important as your prescriptions, then don’t worry.
If you actually want one on one time with your Doctor, maybe go elsewhere.
I know I will be once this is taken care of.

What a great doctor! I always feel listened to when I see her, and she checks up on past issues without my having to bring them up first. I feel like she’s talking to me, the person, instead of «patient number xxxxx.»
