Gourmet Popsicle cart, can’t beat that! I first tried Dave Pops on campus at Sac State last year. There’s no dairy in these pops but they’re delicious! I went for the mint chip. I hope to see this cart around again soon because it’s a neat thing to see… reminds me of the ice cream truck that would come around every afternoon!

Vanilla Chocolate Toffee Chip Pop– It was very creamy and not a typical popsicle that mostly consists of water!
I will try to visit the farmer’s market so I can try another one!

Tried your coconut flake pop at SactoMoFo 6, and I loved it! It was cold, creamy, sweet (but not too sweet) and the perfect end to the day. I like that its all natural and handmade. I told my mom that she should visit you after she saw the lines for the shaved ice; she ended up with the root beer float one and loved it! I could eat eat one of your pops every day!

Thank you again, Unilocalers! My sis works near Cesar Chavez park. I told her about DavePops since she’s near there for the farmer’s market every Wednesday. My sis got me the coconut pop — so good! It’s coconut milk based with shaved coconut flakes. Not crazy sweet, just right. I will totally go back to him for more pops! And the best thing is, it’s all natural!

We bought two different flavors of DavePops — Chocolate Mint Chip and Apple Pie. Both were delish, but the Choco mint really rocks on a hot day. And the other magic thing is they don’t melt!!! He has a nice variety of flavors suitable for diabetics, dieters, lactose intolerant and vegans.

All the popsicles are made by hand and are delicious sweet treats for vegans and non vegans alike! Dave has a great presence at farmers markets and community events too! These pops are definitely worth trying — I know I’ll be back again!

These babies are the best. I love popcicles and ice cream but I have, unfortunately, a sensitive stomach that can’t handle dairy and I don’t like overly processed foods. We got two DavePops at the Oak Park Farmer’s Market this morning, a mint chocolate chip and a strawberry, and both were great. The mint one had TONS of chocolate chips and the strawberry had a great taste to it. The texture of both was creamy and smooth. If you look on his website, he listed all of the ingredients and uses bananas, of all things, as the main ingredient. Track him down and buy one!

Dave Pops are pretty good. They have them at the farmers market at Cesar Chavez park every Wednesday. I got the mocha chip one, and it was delightful. Very light not too sweet. I want to try different flavors next time. And the best part about these pops are only 100 calories!!!

Just experienced my first DavePops today at the farmers market at Cesar Chavez park. It was a perfect treat to have on one of the first hottest days in Sacramento.
I got the mango mandarin orange and strawberry pops. Both were delicious, but I preferred the strawberry much better. You can certainly taste its freshness with each bite and its very creamy. Not your typical frozen juice pop, that’s for sure!
They are $ 3 a pop which a little bit on the high end for pops, but it’s definitely a treat to have. If I were to make pops from scratch, I imagine this is what it would be like. Clean eating!

It’s going to be 106 degrees out there today, so I decided to go to Farmer’s Market at Cesar Chavez Plaza early. After getting my lunch at the gyro stand, a leered over at the the DavePops (and LukePops) cart. I remembered previously having seen longs lines coming from the cart. The mercury was already pushing 100 by then — was this some sort of non-​dairy mirage?
I walked over with all of my Farmer’s Market goodies in hand and preused the menu for a while: cantaloupe, blueberry, mint chocolate chip — it was too much to process. The man who I’m assuming is Dave (I have never not liked a guy named Dave) said, «First time having these?» When I affirmed this he went on to explain everything from how the pops can be made creamy without dairy to how each type of pop is different. He makes water based, whole fruit, and soy milk. He also explained how his sugar-​free LukePops were named (after his nephew, who has diabetes.) He will even tell you exactly what he puts in every pop, which I thought was pretty cool.
I decided to get the mocha, knowing that I was blowing my Temple latte money on a three-​dollar popsicle. It was good. Definitely creamy, sweet but not too sweet. It didn’t blow me away, but it definitely made me want to try other flavors. Dave said it had coffee and chocolate Silk, among other things.
Overall, it’s a welcome addition to the Farmer’s Market, especially on blazing days like today.
