David Levy, CMT

I recently moved to Sacramento from southern California, where I was able to regularly be worked on my my chiro and his therapists. Since the move, I haven’t been able to find someone up here that could help with my chronic muscle tension, which pulls me out of alignment and causes me pain and numbness in my arms and hands. I called his office and had to leave a message, which was quickly returned to me, and I was able to get a same-​day appointment. He gave me great directions and parking info and I found it without a problem. Dr. Levy was very friendly, had me fill out a short medical form, and asked me where my problem areas were (neck, shoulders, arms) and *shock* he actually focused on those areas (the other therapists I have seen up here did NOT listen to me)! He used a combo of deep tissue and A.R.T., which did WONDERS for my shoulders and neck! He also worked on my arms and hands and I feel absolutely wonderful… SO much better! Night and day! I will definitely be back… I have found my NorCal CMT! :)

SUPERB. David Levy knows his work, has a warm demeanor, and accomplishes so much in the time the client books. He listened to what I wanted, carefully read my info he requested as background, and focused only on the areas that needed deep attention.
As a licensed massage therapist for 16 years, I have had a fair amount of work done on my body, but David outshines it all. I came in with neck, shoulder, shoulder blade, lumbar and sacro-​illiac joint issues. In an hour he not only released years of tightness from long days of massaging others and repetitive garden work, he also found related areas of muscle/​connective tissue constrictions. When I walked home, my hips were free to move naturally, my gait felt unrestricted, my neck loose and my shoulders dropped to their natural level. Pain free!
If I lived in the Sacramento area, I would be in his office twice a month for maintenance. He is also affordable.

This is not your garden variety massage. I’m not even sure it is massage – though it rather feels like it. This is healing. This is akin to magic. I have only had one appointment so far but David was able to accomplish benefits I have sought from other massage therapists for many months to no avail. An over-​stretched muscle is now close to back to normal. I really look forward to future treatments.

this is coming from another CMT, David is the best therapeutic CMT in Sacramento, period. Note: I said therapeutic massage, not «healing energy, light gentle touch/​barely get anything done to your muscles» kind of massage. His approach is clinical wisdom of the muscles combined with crazy acute attentiveness (something very important in a CMT). There is no one else above this man’s skill and attention level. No really, there is no one. Be ready to realllllly get your muscles worked over or else David might not be right for you!

David is truly talented. I just had my first visit with him and I was amazed at how he could tell where my soreness and tension was. It wasn’t just a relaxing massage — David is a healer. Another poster mentioned that it is as though David can «read» your body — and that statement is absolutely true. He is also a very sweet guy and made me feel totally comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend him!

David is as good as it gets! His massage is PERFECT. It is as though he can «read» your body. He is impeccably clean, the office and room are also clean and comfortable.
I would recommend him to ANYONE who has tension, headaches, or just needs a relaxing massage.
