Shannon is so awesome and the dogs are also cool as they just hang out at her place. this is definitely someone who can make the dogs feel comfortable while getting their hair cut, not an easy task considering all the crazy dogs and dog owners.

Shannon came recommended. We took Mekai there for the first time today. His grooming was great! The fact that Mekai got to freely roam & play with other dogs & Shannon waited for me when I bypassed the shop was wonderful. Mekai’s 2 furry siblings cried when they saw him in his fancy dew. Let the rotation of ‘spa day’ begin with these 3 heartbeats.

Thank you for squeezing my dog in last minute to get his long nails clipped! Ive been meaning to get it done! Clipping nails is only $ 10. This place is a very clean and professional small, locally owned shop on J Street. I will give them a call when Ollie is ready for his next bath. Being new to the area I (like most people) counted on my fellow Unilocalers to help me find a groomer for my Yorkie Carson. To say that I am picky about how he is groomed is a huge understatement. I called the day of and was squeezed in at noon (how awesome right). When I arrived Carson’s name was outside on the blackboard! I almost died of cuteness overload.
I love that this is a cage free environment. The dogs get to cruise the shop while waiting for their turn or waiting to be picked up! I am probably neurotic about my dog but he is my child. After filling out light paperwork I left Carson hoping and praying he would turn out cute as my basic direction was «I like his face short, ears tipped, keep some length but make sure his belly is shaved and legs are tapered. A couple hours later (as promised) he was ready and looked AH-​Mazing.
I am so so happy with the service and Shannon was SO friendly. I will be bringing him back here and only here!

I LOVE this place. Shannon does an amazing job and Stella has so much fun while she is there. It is very clean and the dogs get to play. Stella is always having so much fun and is very happy when I pick her up. I have been there 5+ times and wouldn’t even think about taking her anywhere else. Stella knew she was pretty after her grooming and pranced around all day. Stella is a 40 pound Double Doodle and always comes home with a great cut, a very soft coat and smells so good.

This place is so cute! I was hesitate taking my dogs to a new groomer since we just moved here but I knew I had to bite the bullet! After reading the Unilocal reviews I had to check it out and I’m so glad I did!
First the owner was great and really listened to me and what I like and don’t like. I can sometimes be picky but I didn’t feel like she was thinking that at all. It’s a cage free grooming place so the dogs just run around which is perfect!
She texted me when they were done, (only 2 hours!!!) and they are so darn cute! I can’t get enough of them! I can’t wait to go back and know 100% my doggies will always come out happy & clean!

I took my Malchi in for his first haircut in March. Shannon explained that she was going to bathe him and do a very small trim, just to get him used to the experience. She was very gentle with him, and said he did amazing. A few weeks ago, I took him back for his first big boy haircut. He didn’t seem nervous, and he didn’t panic when he realized where we were (the way he tends to at the vet). Shannon is FANTASTIC with dogs, and I felt very comfortable leaving him with her. When I came back to pick him up, he was hanging out on a soft blanket in the bottom part of the display case, and there were a few other pups hanging out on the couch and playing. She uploads a few «behind the scenes» videos every week, and those put my mind at ease more than anything else. He looked awesome, and even now that his cut is growing out, it still looks really good. 100% would recommend, this place is the best!

I love this place and my puppy lab loves it here too! Absolutely love Shannon! She is extremely nice and left my pup very clean and fluffy. I love that it is a no crate place because my pooch got to play with the other dogs and lay on the couch with toys. I’ve never seen my pup happier at any other groomer.

I have been here twice and my long haired dachshund comes out clean and well groomed! I love that this is a crate free environment. The quality and price are awesome and it’s great to support a local business. I’ll definitely keep bringing my pups back.

Shannon is a wonderful groomer! She has always given (Wilson) my 15 year old Lhasa an amazing cut. He enjoys his time at Doggiestylz due to the fact Shannon never puts him in a cage. Everyone at the shop is friendly and professional who all take great care and pride in taking excellent care of all the animals big and small. Thank you for such a great experience couldn’t imagine taking him anywhere else.

Vanessa does a great job with my rough collie, Ouray! I love that he can hang with other dogs and isn’t in a crate all day. Ouray loves the basket of treats and I like her reasonable price!

I am so excited to know that my dogs have a new groomer! This morning at 8am I called Shannon to see if my 4lb yorkie could be groomed. I originally assumed she would make an appointment for later this week, but she said Vanessa would call me because she thought she may have time. An hour or so later Vanessa called and said she could get Holly (my girl) in in 30 minutes! When I dropped her off I loved the double entry and the gate so I could be sure she wouldn’t run across J st (again). Vanessa and Shannon were so sweet and I felt great about leaving her there. One of the reasons I was unhappy with our previous groomers was that they’d keep her there ALL DAY. Holly was ready an hour and a half later and looked so perfect! No cuts, no straggling hairs, and no anxiety. Over the phone they quoted me $ 40 but said that since she was so small $ 35 was enough. She earned an extra $ 5 on her tip for that! We will be back in 8 weeks for a clean up and I’ll be bring my other two labs in as well!

I love this place! I have 2 dogs & another dog I baby sit all the time (120 lbs!)& I bring them all to Vanessa! She’s very patient & loving with them & they trust her.

This was our first trip to DoggieStylz Grooming and it was a fantastic experience. I appreciated how clean and cute it was, not to mention the double doggie doors for extra protection to prevent any furry friends from escaping the shop. I loved that the dogs were all hanging out on the couch or playing with one another instead of in a crate waiting for their owners. It truly was like a doggie spa.
Shannon was great with Pepper. She listened to what I wanted for his cut and executed flawlessly. I’m looking forward to being a customer for many years to come!

Shannon is the best! I live in SF but only get Sadie groomed here! Very reasonably priced and I love that my dog can roam around the shop and doesn’t need to be put in a crate while waiting for me to pick her up. No question, 5 stars!

Our fourteen year old Cocker Spaniel loves her grooming days with Shannon who has lovingly groomed her for about five years. This shop is so adorable with comfy couches & chairs for doggie lounging & pampering, doggie treats & loads of love, just like home. The sign board outside has welcome messages for that day’s groomings & Shannon does an amazing job every single time. You owe it to your dog to treat them to a really great grooming experience with kind, loving, expert groomers.

I have two dogs: a crazy half-​blind pug who has enough energy to run the city of Chicago for a week and a pitiful (but adorable) little mutt that is afraid of everything including himself. I took them both to see Shannon for the full treatment, and they loved every minute of it.
You can tell that Shannon doesn’t just groom dogs, she really loves them and wants to spoil them. Call me crazy, but I swear I can hear the pooches ask when they are going to see Aunt Shannon again. I don’t sniff glue anymore (since Thursday!) so I think that they really do love and miss her and it wasn’t just an auditory hallucination like last time.
In all seriousness, Shannon is amazing and your dogs will love being groomed here. Tell a friend.
