Epic selection of restaurant supplies! It’s open to the public and worth a visit just to take it all in. Need new plates or glassware — this is the place to go! It’s a warehouse full of everything you need at very reasonable prices.

A mega-​store of gadgets and things you just never knew you needed or wanted. Prices are amazing — steer clear of all those big box stores and check out Dong Vinh. Plan to wander the aisles. Staff is very helpful and friendly. This is not just wholesale or for industrial uses. I went looking for new glasses, meat thermometer and odds and ends for my kitchen. It’s off the beaten trail but the journey is half the fun.

This place is not the cheapest, but they have a large variety of things for your restaurant. I came to pick up supplies for a sushi making party I plan on having. I also love cooking gadgets so I spent some time staring at the random things they have… Anything you could possibly want for a kitchen.
Grabbed chopsticks, sushi mats, squeeze sauce bottles, temperature gauge for meat, sushi knife (not a great quality knife, those can cost several hundreds of dollars!), a pitcher, all around $ 75. Guy at the counter asked me if I had been there before and I told him yes, but I don’t have my phone number on file because I am not a business owner. He said no problem and hooked me up with a 10% discount. Pretty darn cool. I’ll be back for other random things I need for my kitchen!

As a professional in food service I really appreciate the selection and prices at Dong Vinh. The location and hours are great too. Saves me so much energy now that I don’t have to make a special trip all the way to Richards Blvd any more! I plan on using Dong Vinh for all my restaurant supplies from now on.

Thanks to Unilocal I found this place. I frequent another supply store off of Richards blvd, and it is to say the least not close to hone or work. This place was convenient, the staff was extremely helpful. I told them what o needed, they picked it out took it to my car and loaded it up. Every employee I walked by I’m the store was friendly, the selection is massive as far as pricing they may be a tad bit more, somethings might be comparable even cheaper.
I’m the type of person who likes things easy so if I can get an item without having to drive across town and pay a little more for it I’m ok with that. I would have given 5 stars, however many of the items are not priced so you have to ask someone. Overall a great experience.

Came here to look for a baguette pan (bf has been looking everywhere for one). They actually had one but it was too big. But wow this is a giant warehouse full of kitchen/​restaurant equipment and supplies. Good customer service but too big for me to browse around.

I love coming to dong vinh! This place is a megastore for food service supplies & equipment.
I work with my family’s restaurant and its cool to browse around for upgrades or new ideas. The place is quite lonesome and feels like a library! A tiny sound, echoes throughout the warehouse so usually u don’t even know if anyone else is near.
The workers or owners seem kinda gangsterish, they speak rather harsh and look thuggish. LOL :)
My bf used to work here at the old location by SF supermarket. Its super small compared to the new & improved building, a plus and better shopping environment.
Even if u don’t own a restaurant or have food service business, do come take a look cuz they have alot of kitchenware and dinette sets for ur home.

This place is huge! It’s like an Asian version of Costco for all things kitchen related… and then some!
I literally spent hours perusing the aisles and giggling at the supersized pots that I was tempted to play hide-​n-​seek in. I don’t own a restaurant, so I’m not their target clientele, but the staff was still very helpful and informative about helping me with my choices. I walked away with a cool Japanese wok (they even taught me how to care for it properly!), a marble mortar and pestle that makes me feel like a more authentic cook than I probably am, restaurant quality martini glasses, and a set of swanky tableware complete with the lil soy sauce dipping things you get at Japanese restaurants.
I thought the prices were pretty good (definitely better than my local Asian grocery store), but their selection was what truly impressed me. It’s like going to an upscale Daiso on crack!

Good variety of commercial restaurant equipment. Probably has the most selection of asian specialty items such as bento boxes and sake sets.
The biggest gripe I have about the place is their prices. They are freaking ridiculous! Way overpriced! The location kind of sucks, too. Their location was much beret when they used to be in the same complex as SF market.
