Great place so why are they closed??? Can anyone recommend a auto repair facility as good as this one???

In an emergency I found that this shop was able to give me peace through percise information to my Bmw’s problem, and the solution to it. They communicated with me to any further issues. Price could be lowered yet somethings i juat don’t want to cut price over the job or work. My car is one! Sorry to see I need to wait until next year for my next fixing. Thanks D

Dennis and his team provide outstanding customer service and work. I trust them to fix whatever issues my car may have and they always quote me at a great price. Honest and reliable mechanic. What more can you ask for?

This is for my experience with the quality work done at DRJ and their solid warranty program:
I bought in my 2010 Audi A5 to DRJ in early 2014 after Niello Audi found major leak with my water pump at 49,000 miles (known issue with this model). DRJ quoted me ~$ 300 less than Niello to replace the water pump. They also helped me changed my front/​rear brakes (ceramic replacement parts were far better than oem parts and prices were also much better than Niello).
Recently my water pump leaked again at 65,000 miles. After doing some research I found this is not all that uncommon. Niello claimed this leaking is too early and quoted me $ 1200 for the job. I asked if it’s leaking too soon according to their opinion then do they have any warranty for their work and their answer is one year. ??? LOL
I decided not to take my Niello service advisor’s advise and go back to DRJ to see if something could be done. It turns out DRJ has a 3 years 36K mile warranty on their work (Triple that of Audi Dealership!).
I expected this warranty repair work to take some times so I dropped of my car first thing on Monday morning. I got a text back from Denis at 9 a. m next day to let me know my car was done. I was charged $ 0 for everything… unreal! I honestly can’t describe how much I appreciate my awesome experience. Thanks again to Denis and the Staffs at DRJ.

Great all around. Came here on a recommendation from a friend — I don’t have a BMW/​Audi/​VW/​Mercedes, and did not know this was their specialty when I called, but they were able to accommodate me the next day.
Denis and Mike were both extremely nice, personable and easy to communicate with about all things technical and non-​technical. I had asked for a general inspection in addition to their addressing my specific concerns and Denis prioritized a list of repairs for me. He was very honest and very thorough in his explanations of what needed to be done. Pricing was very fair and they are upfront with costs.
Best mechanic experience I’ve ever had. I will absolutely be bringing my car back here.

Finally, an honest mechanic. This shop is a rare find. Never realized that Dennis – the guy up front checking me in and checking me out, explaining the service charges, etc. – is actually the owner! Never would have guessed, given how unassuming and genuine he is.
Not only is the car always fixed right the first time when I leave, but the other half of the 5-​star experience is that after the final bill is signed, I understand what all the hieroglyphics mean in plain english.
Cars serviced: 2001 Toyota Corolla, 2003 Honda Civic.
As long as I own a car, I’ll be taking it to DRJ.

So the finace’ thought something was wrong with her car. I rarely doubt her as she’s not as out-​of-​tune with her vehicles as some girls I know. I drove it down to Denis. Dropped it off the night before, only to hear back the next day «it’s fine. doesn’t seem like anything is wrong.» lol
I appreciate that he didn’t try to capitalize on a situation and get some money from anything he could find. He seems the honest type of guy. I can’t attest to his prices as we didn’t owe anything (which was also VERY cool of him), but in general I think this place is our new go-​to mechanic for cars. He’s close to us for one, but more importantly I feel like I can trust what he’s saying. Also, he’s straight-​forward and speaks to people in a way that lets them know exactly what’s going on. I caught that gist from another customer who was in there at the time we picked up our car.
It’s a small shop/​You’ll likely have to schedule time. If he doesn’t pick up, leave a message and you’ll likely hear back within a few hours. As far as I understand, there’s only 3 guys there so they have their hands full.
This is the kinda place you wanna take your car. Trust the ratings on here and Google. There’s a reason he has such a good one.

What can I say. They know their shit. They treat my 335 with care and precision. I trust them on a dime. Honest!

Sad to be the squeaky wheel, but they wouldn’t work on my car if I supplied the parts. Dennis seemed nice enough over the phone, but he won’t work on your car if you supply the parts. He did however recommend me the most expensive shop in town at $ 150 an hour for labor with a 3hr quote for replacing brake pads. I guess making money on the labor is not enough he wants to make money on the parts too. Shame all these Unilocal reviews were wrong.

Still the best place around. I have sent five or six of my co-​workers to DRJ and Denis is the best… I am never afraid to refer because the people I have sent are always completely satisfied. I have said that Denis should come teach my colleagues how to provide excellent customer service and value.

They remembered me from coming in a year earlier. Got my lights fixed in 30mins without an appointment and it was SUPER cheap.

Phenomenal experience. Grade A service OEM repair. Fantastic in all aspects. Hands down the BEST in all aspects. Handled my BMW better than the dealer at a reasonable price. Factory parts are an extreme concern of mine. Denis and his staff are extremely knowledgeable in all makes and models. Hard working honest individuals who know exactly what they are doing. There is a reason why it’s ranked 5 stars. Believe the hype. They are here to serve Sacramento for a long time.

DRJ has gone beyond expectations!!!
I live in Kansas but I still have a car in California. My nephew who studies in Sacramento has been using my car but now, it’s time to take it home. Granted my car is a 24 year old, 1990 Honda Accord LX, in talking to various mechanics, they tell me that is THE car to own of all the Honda cars. Advice taken, I had to make sure this li’l put-​put of mine will make the trek across the Sierra and through the hot desert of NV & UT, I had to find me a mechanic.
Not being from the area, I looked up Honda Auto Repairs and found DRJ. The few issues we had, Dennis’ recommendations were on point with my local mechanics here; already Dennis’ shop SCORED!!!
Came the time to bring the car in. I spoke to Dennis again and he advised me that he was running behind due to being short staffed. I was okay with that, we had some time. As Dennis worked on our car, he would contact me, every step of the way. All the car needed was an A/​C recharge and new tires. I decided, since we had budgeted for this repair, to have him replace my timing belt and water pump, since I wasn’t sure when it was last done. While he had the engine out, he replaced other belts as he had seen that they were cracked.
Just before we had finally settled, Dennis did one last sweep, keeping in mind that this car was going to have a long journey ahead of it.
I have nothing negative to say of Dennis’ and his shop. It’s hard to find a decent, honest mechanic. If I still lived in California, Dennis would be my main mechanic, even if I had to drive all the way from San Francisco. Sooooooooooooooooooo worth it!!!

Let me first state that before coming here, 5 other people from different places looked at my car, even with diagnostic tools, and we’re not able to figure out what the problem with my AC was. They all confirmed that the problem was electrical. (Mercedes). At least 3 of these other people, that I’m still very appreciative of, directed me to the dealer for diagnosis. When I was really close to doing that, I decided to try one last alternative route by giving Denis a call.
Fast forward: I wound up bringing my car to the shop when Denis had time to look at it.
While at the shop, I quickly explained to him what was wrong and after 3 minutes of looking at my car, he had an accurate diagnosis, and to make a long story short, my 3 month problem was revolved that same day, very quickly.
Denis is very intelligent, courteous, professional, and personable.
Their costs are also a lot more affordable than at the dealer. They’re worth every penny and their service is already worth more than they charge. Take advantage!

Denis is the man! He did a great job on my brake and rotor replacement for a 530i for a competitive price that comes with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. I’d highly recommend his service to other BMW owners!

Dennis and his team have made a new life long customer.
I recently moved up here from Southern California and my Audi A4 was pretty much due for my 75,000 Mile Service Maintenance. Being that I’m new to the area, I really didn’t have a good feel for the types of Auto shops in the area so I figured my best bet was to go to Niello Audi, get my oil change, and get an idea of how much money i’d be giving away for the 75K Maintenance. I was pretty much ready to bite the bullet since I didn’t know of any shops in the Sacramento yet.
When I found out Audi was trying to charge me around $ 900.00+ to replace air/​cabin filters, oil change, new spark plugs and a CVT flush; I had to rethink this whole idea and do some research.
Back home, my family and I have a family mechanic who usually takes care of all our Automotive Performance needs. So, seeing that I’m new to the area I wasn’t sure if I should take a chance on just any shop without doing some homework on my own. After calling several shops, most of which are also in the downtown/​midtown area, I would say that the majority of the shops were giving me slightly lesser numerical estimates in comparison to Audi. So I continued to call around and spoke to a few other shops, one being Stewart’s Automotive (the other 3 I can’t seem to recall the names), and along with the 3 other shops I called pointed me to DRJ Performance and Dennis’s team.
I figured, if autoshops are declining customers to send them to another shop, this other shop must be really good. So the first thing I did was pick up the phone and call DRJ. And the rest was history, from the phone call down to the paperwork, Dennis and his team offer nothing short of world class service. From the initial phone call, I could tell Dennis geniuinely loves what he does and personally aims to attend to all of his customers’ needs. Plus I could tell he is just as much of a BMW/​Audi enthusiast so I had to give their shop a shot!
Back to the service, Dennis originally quoted me around $ 700.00, which is about $ 250+ less than I was expecting to pay at the dealership. Nonetheless, still a pretty high toll for car maintenance, but if you drive a Euro, then you should know high prices come with the territory — so I was pretty happy about saving a few hundred dollars. When I walked into the shop this morning, and got the estimate from Dennis, the quote was about half of what he originally estimated. Did you hear me? HALF!!!
I tried to play it cool but I was jumping for joy inside; «FINALLY!!!» I said to myself, an honest and true mechanic who wasn’t trying to nickel and dime the customer, but rather geniuinely help them with all of their car care needs. When I asked Dennis why he wasn’t charging me a million dollars like the dealerships, he simply replied «…because we ONLY do what’s necessary to keep your car in great condition.» In short, dealerships, or STEALERships as I like to call them are only concerned about $$$. So they’ll do things like replace air filters bc its written down in a book somewhere rather than changing filters because the car actually needs it. Dennis was very detailed and thorough about the service that was necessary to keep my car in mint condition, nothing more, nothing less. To me personally, that is the best thing you could have done to earn a life-​long customer right off the bat — be honest and truthful to the customer and Dennis went above and beyond that; he practically treats you like family. I was supposed to get picked up by Enterprise for my rental, but seeing that they weren’t picking up our phone calls, at a seconds notice, he had one of his guys John (great guy by the way) and drop me off at the rental shop. Mind you, he didn’t have to do that, and we easily could have waited for Enterprise to finally pick up and send a shuttle service, but he went out of his way just to make sure the customer was taken care of.
And to think, I’m a first time customer that seemingly can go on and on about how satisfied i am with the service.
This was my first encounter with DRJ Performance and definitely will not be my last.

I have finally found my new forever mechanic!
The owner, Denis, was super helpful, personable and seemed happy to answer my questions. I didn’t really know what I needed when I came in, just that my 2004 Scion xA was not doing well at all. The shop did a thorough maintenance check and sure enough, came back with a list of items. Denis explained each repair to me and helped me prioritize according to my budget.
I picked up my car today and I don’t think it’s ever felt this good while driving! They didn’t just stop at the repairs, they vacuumed the floor mat, pumped the tires, and parked the car right out front, ready to be driven away. Seems like small beans, but I really appreciated these small touches. Car repairs are stressful and they clearly get that.
I’m so happy I gave them a shot. I highly recommend!

It’s rare that you find a mechanic that is honest and willing to work with you. They have integrity and they text you with updates. Super convenient!

Talk about making a good first impression, these guys nailed it.
I made my appointment for my Volvo through their e-​mail system Sunday night and received a reply email within 10 minutes of opening Monday morning. I was able to bring my car in right away. I had electrical issues that needed repaired and a needed a transmission flush. Around 3pm I received an email and text informing me I was ready to roll!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS!
