Established in 2014.
Esquire Café Catering is an event production company that specializes in custom
event creation, giving each event a signature style. Although we haven’t been around
long, we have a foundation of experience and expertise starting with Executive Chef
Jessie Hernandez, who has over 25 years of experience in the food and hospitality
industry. Our event team can set the tone of your party, from menu design to décor.
Our creativity and perfectionist attitude sets us apart from our competition. We are
the best at what we do and our goal is to prove it to you.
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
Chef Hernandez started his career at the young age of 14 as a dishwasher and within one year he had moved up to prep cook. He immediately realized his passion for creating fabulous food. Honing his skills under the tutelage of several professional chefs, and seeking knowledge wherever he could, he became familiar with many different styles of cooking.
He eventually got his chance to show what l had learn over the years, getting his big break as a sous chef at California Café restaurant in Palo Alto, CA. He was soon promoted to the position of banquet chef, giving him the opportunity to acquire more experience at events all around the Bay Area.
Jessie’s job at California Café brought him to Sacramento in 2004 where he was soon promoted to Executive Chef. His parter Susan Perez Owner and Business Manager of Esquire Café, grew up in the restaurant business. Her family owned a restaurant in Panama. She knows what it takes to exceed, Susan and chef Hernandez created Esquire Café In 2014.
