I started getting interested in computers in Wisconsin in the early 90’s. Back then it was just a hobby but it didn’t take long before I realized this was the future and I really enjoyed working with them. Most of my free time was spent reading about how computers worked. Then I would take them apart and put them back together.

In the late 90’s I started to get serious about doing computer repair for a living so I became a certified technician and started a business part-​time. In 2002 my wife and I moved to the Sacramento, California area and I started working for a local computer repair company always knowing I would go out on my own at some point.

In 2007 it was time so that is when Express Techs was born. Since then we have grown into a solid small business where we pride ourselves on incredable customer service. All of our work is 100% guaranteed; we are not happy until you, the customer are satisfied. Give us a try and find out for yourself!

He delivered our wireless dreams. And then within three minutes of him leaving and me messing it up, he came back and fixed it again (I held a Wi-​Fi on/​off switch too long unknowingly). Our network angel, Rick, made our entire house Wi-​Fi happy. 100% recommendation to anyone who uses their services.

Rick is fantastic, knowledgeable, reliable, trustworthy. I do not extend accolades readily, but he deserves to be called «the best» and «incredible.» For the first time in all the years of owning various computers, my laptop developed a problem that I could not fix. Basically it was completely kaput… couldn’t do anything. Rick to the rescue. He recovered all my data from the hard drive, restored the laptop to factory settings, reloaded some additional programs, restored the recovered data to the laptop. At the same time he provided some additional help like a virus/​malware program and a reliable external hard drive for back up
Since then he has helped to troubleshoot some issues. Turns out there was nothing wrong with the system. I just needed some education. If you are ready to pull your hair out, this is the person you must contact.

This was the second time I called Express Techs and both times were very positive experiences. The first time Robert came out, and I was sad to hear he had passed away, Yesterday, after spending all day trying to install my new Comcast Wireless Gateway with their «easy to do self instructions», I gave them a call and Rick came out today. He spent a lot of time getting rid of the multitude of viruses on my computer (I should send half my repair bill to Norton and the other divide the other half and give it to the grandkids as their Christmas present, since they were told not to download anything). He installed a new anti virus system and got the Comcast problem solved. Arrived on time. Very courteous and professional. Glad to have my computer working smoothly again, without all the spam pop ups.

I been using Rick, for at least 3 years and I have found him to be very reliable and efficient. He has done some real problem solving over the phone and online. I am not a tech so I need help quite often. Did I mention he is reasonable in his pricing as well? He like a plumber when you need help you really need help. That’s Express tech.

These guys are great. I’ve used them twice — the first time it was complicated with viruses killing my computer and network issues, this time it was something simple. Both times I have had Rick and he has been SUPER professional, fast, efficient, and the cost has been very, very reasonable. My computer has been running fast and smooth since he worked on it the first time. This time my security software license was expiring and I called him for ideas about something cheaper and better, and he installed something cheaper very quickly using the remote log-​in software, charging me a tiny fee for his time. I HATE working on computers, and each time Rick has made it as painless and quick as possible. There are few businesses where I ask for cards and then hand them out to people and say «keep this card — these guys are great.» This is one of those businesses — TOTALLY recommended.

My old internet tech went out of business, so I had to find someone new. I spent a day on the computer researching and finally decided to contact Express Techs. This is a awesome company efficient knowledgeable and my Sheltie loved Rick. That alone would have been enough to convince me he was the one for me. When you need someone please call Rich. I have already given out the cards he left with me.

We have used this company on at least two occasions. The first time, service was with a gentleman that was very pleasant to have in our home — I felt very comfortable. He was thorough and when I had questions, he remembered the issues I had and was able to help me over the phone with a few tweaks.
Remembering this positive experience, I called them when we needed their services. This time, the owner and a trainee came out together. I stepped into the adjacent room as the two used the computer space. The owner said, «We’re going to need your password» and I walked over to log in personally. This was, by his facial expression, a nuisance to him as I learned that I’d log in 4 more times. Regardless, I prefer the option of personally logging in as opposed to handing out my password to two men. Although they’re in the depths of my computer, I still feel better protected keeping that private.
I made small talk with the owner: «You’re training someone new. I was expecting the tech I had last time.»
«I fired him. He was a lazy worker that complained about not having money but he didn’t want to work. I can’t pay him for not showing up!»
Somehow it came out that he’s down two techs since he fired the one and another abruptly passed away.
As they talked to each other, they repeatedly complained aloud about how they «hate Vista», my ‘inferior, trial and error, operating system’. :/​
The attitude of the owner that just did not want to be there, however, is what leads me to find another company for my future computer needs. If negativity is hiring, the employees will not be very positive.
Also, on a side note, I could not use my office for the remainder of the day: I had to air it out from ‘body odor’ and was not too keen on sitting back in my chair after seeing the bottom of the techs shirt halfway up his back and the top of his pants halfway down his behind.
I do, however, have to give 3 stars as my computer was repaired. The review lacks star rating due to un-​professionalism (attitude and presentation/​body exposure).

Incredible find! My friend uses this service and they are highly listed on Angie’s List. Robert actually got here early (yay!) and spent 1 ½ hours totally cleaning and updating my 3 computers (1 desktop, 1 laptop, 1 netbook), linked up my wireless printer, synced my iphone and itunes, loaded a software program, and educating me! Totally going to stay with this team — and Robert is fantastic!

Excellent and competent service. Incredibly rapid response and turnaround. They have saved our systems, eradicated viruses, upgraded, networked, and more. Both visits from them have been within 1 hour of my call, simple virus removal done on site, hardware upgrade at their shop and returned in 24 hr. Less expensive than another service with whom I’d had poor service, and this small, customer-​oriented company provides superior service. You won’t be disappointed. (I’d heard about it from a friend and was justifiably impressed.) No hesitation in recommending them.

My laptop was giving me fits all the while my anti virus program (Kapersky) was telling me all was fine. Called and got Rick who said I still may have a virus and dispatched Robert. Robert showed in under an hour from my initial phone call. Robert is the real deal, instantly he ran a number of diagnostics and reconfigured my laptop to a more efficient state of being. All the while explaining how I can do the same things with my other Windows based computers. A fix and a lesson with a successful outcome at a reasonable price. I wish I had known about this company before I took my computers into Geek Squad and was charged an arm and leg. Never will I go anywhere else.

Excellent service and attitude. Robert came to my home office yesterday, diagnosed the problem (failed hard drive), took my computer late in the day– and brought it back early this morning. He went above and beyond. Re-​installed operating system, drives and many programs. All with a great attitude. Price was more than fair. Highly recommend this company.

Robert is the man… knowledgeable and trustworthy.. Comes to your home, conducts analysis, does the fix if possible right then and there. If not able at your home will take your machine to their shop and returns, in my case, next day… with a machine that runs like new. We have several computers and Robert has brought a couple of them back from the grave.
I only have kudos for this company and Robert specifically. Highly recommend them and won’t let anyone else touch our computers.

These guys are awesome. I sent an email mid-​morning and received an instant response from Rick. We set up a time for Robert to come to my residence that afternoon. It was a great experience. My problem was a major virus had shut down my home computer. Robert diagnosed the problem and within a half hour had removed all virus, malware, trojans, and other problems from my computer. He set me up with a new firewall and anti-​virus software as well as updated many of the programs on my computer. He was VERY professional, responsive and had a nice comforting demeanor. I will absolutely use these guys again and tell all of my friends. The price was fair and well worth it!
