Well, I thought they would repairs all things lawn mower related. However, they do not repair the mini-bikes with a lawn mower engine. Very friendly over the phone.

This place is great. I just got a few things fixed and it only cost $ 34. It was my first time here and definitely my new mower mechanic. Seems to be run mostly by an older couple – the gentlemen must be 60 or 70 but exhibits the fast-paced no-nonsense energy of an 18-year-old. But most importantly, he got my craftsman mower back in shape!

Don’t go there. Customer service is very low. Staff is very rude. Went there yesterday they threw a work order tag on the desk for me to fill it out without even saying anything. When I asked it they could take a look at my lawn mower while I wait both front desk lady and techician laughed in my face saying it will be 10 days before they can even take a look at it. I haven’t seen such disrespectfull and rude attitude before!

I have used these guys three times now. First time was a few years ago, I don’t remember what it was. About six months ago I took in an MTD mower with a Honda engine. I knew the valve was stuck because of bad gas, but I did not want to try and fix it. They were very reasonable. I think it was $ 30, which included a new filter. About two weeks ago I took in an old snapper high vac mower and an old craftsman edger that came with a rental house I purchased. They both needed quite a bit of work and parts. Both of them were fixed for a total of around $ 100. Understand the process. Realize you may not be called immediately when they are ready. You will need your claim check.

I wanted to update this review to five stars. This business has come through with their promise to get my HB the edger he wanted. Of course he paid for it at a fraction of what a new one would cost but it made him happy. And that’s all I care about! This edger the owner talked about was one that the owner had originally fixed and said it was like brand new! I guess the customer before never really used it much as my HB was told as the original spark plugs are still in it! I guess the business kept calling my HB yesterday and we finally heard the cell phone ringing up a storm. I told him why don’t you check to see who’s calling you? He even mentioned maybe it’s the lawn mower company and lo and behold it was!!! His buddy from school is now working there and actually spoke with him himself. I said to my HB you better get it now! We picked it up today and he’s now checking out his new toy! Like a little kid but actually it was his dad the gardener who taught him how to take the edger or lawn mowers apart to fix and clean them. I said to him you’re lucky your dad taught you a lot about the business! Not everyone can do that! I know we will be back to this business for our lawn mower needs and you should too!!! You know my HB will be there definitely:)

I also posted this on Google: Nice group of workers they have at Freeport Power. You drop your lawn mower off for service and then call in about 1 week to see if it’s ready. They won’t call you, and you must give them the number that is on your ticket receipt, so don’t lose this stub! I brought my «new» Troy Built lawn mower in for servicing as it kept leaking gas. I’d fill up the tank and the next time I went to use it, it was empty. They said something was wrong with the carburetor. I needed 3 parts — sparkplug, filter and some sort of carburetor needle. Total parts cost was $ 12.45 and labor was $ 30. Not bad. BTW, they filled up my gas tank free of charge :) This was a brand new mower, but well past the point of me being able to return it to the store for a refund. I also have a 20 year old lawn mower that needs a tune up. One day I’ll bring it by Freeport Power and have them service this as well.
