Masseuse was sick, wearing a surgical mask, and coughing intermittently during the massage. Very unhygienic. She should not have been working that day. Period.

Jimmy was AMAZING, most times when I request «soft» I don’t always get it, tonite’s massage however was perfect! Thank you Jimmy, I really needed this today :) I will only ask for him from now on!

I really enjoy this place. Make sure you request a good masseuse though. I have heard from my relatives that its not that great if you get someone that isn’t good. I really like Fran, I think that’s her name, or it might be Fanny… She did great and I like a lot of deep pressure but not to where it is painful. I will be back lots and lots of time. My mother-​in-​law got me hooked!

For my first review of 2016, I figured that I would get started on a happy note by giving a review of Happy Day Spa. Because I didn’t want to pay damn near $ 200 for a couples massage, I opted to check out Happy Day Spa. Is it safe to say that one’s expectations are the main driving force behind an individual’s ability to reach a level of satisfaction? If you agree with that, then you will more than likely agree with this review.
Prior to showing up at the parlor, I scheduled an appointment for two foot massages. If you’ve read the hundreds of other reviews, you already know that the foot massages are actually full body massages. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by two women in the waiting area, and less than 5 minutes later we were ushered into the massage area. This is where it gets pretty interesting. The massage room is a large room full of individual massage beds. The best I can describe it is that the room resembles the military barracks that you see in movies (minus the bunk beds). Each bed has a man or woman (depending on your preference) masseuse assigned to it. You’ve probably already figured out that there is zero privacy. At that particular time (6:30pm), I would say that there were roughly 15 other people in the room getting prepped for massages.
When I approached my designated massage bed, I was greeted by my masseuse «Judy.» As instructed, I removed my shoes and socks, and Judy began massaging me. She began with a very thorough scalp massage, and then proceeded to work her way down. When Judy reached my quads, she began applying deep pressure. Seeing as to how I was recovering from a pretty intense leg workout, this deep tissue massage was like heaven to my legs.
When Judy finally reached my feet, she pulled them out of the ginger water (I recommend the Ginger Crystal Foot massage) and began giving me a very intense foot massage. I have a muscular/​athletic build, so the pressure that Judy applied throughout the massage session was greatly appreciated. After roughly one hour, Judy signaled to me that the massage was over.
My fiancé and I were equally satisfied with our massages (no complaints). However, I do have some suggestions in regards to things that Happy Day could improve upon. Since the masseuses speak very little English, I think that the women up front (who speak English fluently) should require all clients to fill out an intake form. This form would allow the client to list any sensitive/​sore parts of their bodies, any recent injuries, and select the level of pressure that they want applied. After receiving this information from the client, one of the English speaking staff members can translate this information to the designated masseuse. Just in case you’re a Happy Day Spa staff member reading this, please consider this suggestion. I’m a return customer who would like to see your business remain in good standing.
So if you’re still contemplating whether or not you should check this place out, let me make it easy for you. If you expect to have meaningful dialogue with your masseuse (unless you speak their language), this place is not for you. If you expect your masseuse to say «Hey (insert your name) welcome back!»…this place is not for you. If you need to get naked for your «foot» massage, this place is not for you. If you want a competitively– priced massage of good quality, I would recommend checking out Happy Day Spa.

Worst massage ever. Came in today with my husband and just my luck, got a masseuse who lacked any skills/​training and just didn’t give a damn what kind of experience she gave her customer. She took a good 10−15mins on one side of my head/​neck, repeatedly softly rubbing over and over, no massaging, just rubbing/​stroking and when she turned my head over to start on the other side it didn’t even last 3mins!!! I know at this point I should’ve got up and left, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt hoping that she would actually start massaging once she started on my feet. When she transitioned to my feet, she disappeared for almost 5mins, I was getting so frustrated but again decided to be patient!!! To make this short, after I asked her to massage harder since she was just rubbing me, she got annoyed and started to use her ELBOWS and elbowed the crap out of me for the last 30−35mins!!! You can tell she was intentionally elbowing me and putting no effort into giving me a decent massage! I was so mad but I couldn’t get myself to get up, stupid me!!! At the end of the massage there was no thank you, she immediately threw her tip book at me on the chair expecting a tip. And you better believe it, I threw it right back. She even had the nerves to follow me out to the lobby asking for a tip, hell no!!!
Sad to say that this one person can ruin it for everyone and this business, bc my husband got a good massage.
Never go to Wei Wei. Not worth the pain and money!!!

I have had back problems for years now; pain manageable. After doing about 6 hours of slave labor on Sunday, I was in agonizing pain Monday. Lower left back was sensitive to the touch. Upper back pain was so severe it restricted my movement. My girlfriend usually steps on my back or massages me daily and she couldn’t even help me becuase the pain was too severe.
I decided to give this place a shot. As I walked in I was greeted by the front desk employee. Couldn’t tell if she was rude or if it was her asian accent. She ssked if a guy was okay and that was fine. Got escorted to the room which was clean and quiet.
I was looking forward to telling the therapist all about my pain but he spoke NO ENGLISH. I was a little concerned but was in soo much pain I did not care. He was able to pin point every pain point without me saying a single word. He did a great full body massage and spent more time on my back without me having to ask. There were points all over my body that I did not know hurt until he worked on them.
It is now Tuesday and I feel great. I have full mobility again with minor soreness; which is to be expected after a deep tissue massage.
I will become a regular now.

omg I would not recommend this to anyone! I had a massage there 2 days ago and my whole back is now stiff and riddled with bruises! I am in so much pain I had to see my dr!

I noticed many of their workers don’t speak english. The lady i had really didnt understand what «softer» means. Came out feeling more pain. 2 stars only for the relaxing room.

I’ve come here a few times in the past and I really liked their foot massage. It is relatively affordable and is located inside a very relaxing and beautiful, dimly lit room. However, I am NOT a big fan of their back massages or masseuse. We went there for Valentine’s Day a while back and we ordered the hot stone massage. They didn’t even give us the hot stone massage. About 10 minutes into the massage, we realized that there were no hot stones anywhere inside the room and all we were receiving were Swedish massages. Hence, we stopped and asked to clarify if the massages were hot stone or not. The masseuses did not speak nor understand English, so they left the room to go talk to the front. After a few minutes, the person at the front desk comes in to talk to us and realizes that she had communicated the wrong massages to the masseuses. After another few minutes, the masseuses came back and started giving us hot stone massages but the rocks ended up being too hot and burned our backs because they put it on too fast. Not only that, the masseuse that I had (who was female) kept pulling my underwear down too far, exposing my entire behind which was completely uncomfortable since my boyfriend’s masseuse was a male and I did not want him seeing me. I pulled it up a little higher but each time she would pull it down further. I was so upset and felt highly violated. I have not gone back since then and I definitely do not plan to. All in all, I recommend the foot massage but I don’t recommend the back massages.

I cannot recommend this place enough. I’ve been here two times and my masseuse both times have been responsive to my needs and concerned for my comfort.
I have received a full body massage from John and he is very intuitive and knows how to find sore muscles. He’ll pay extra attention to sore and tense spots.
I got a full body ginger crystal massage from Andy and he is very similar to John in that he is intuitive to sore and tense parts of the body and the different techniques to work them out.
The prices cannot be beat. Whether you get a foot massage, a full body, or a body treatment, the price is more than worth it!

This place is fantastic! A 20 $ full body massage?!
It is seriously a great massage! This is an affordable alternative to Spa Envy or any of the massage chains. The people are friendly and they massage you from head to toe!

I got a 5 hour package for $ 180 and I am pleased with the quality of the massage I revived. Check this place out you won’t regret it.

I’m unsure if yetersday was an off day for this massage parlor but when the foot massage felt close to rubbing lotion on your feet rather than reflexology pressure… then we are going to have problems.
I had a man (definitely not a therapist) who carried in his hand a «james» sticker on the black folder tip folder.
People, if the first 15 –20 minutes of the massage ranges from little to no pressure and you tell the worker to apply a little more and it is still not understood… go directly to the front desk and tell «the boss.»
I did and I got results (tip: Sometimes there is another worker who would translate but not today).
Not to mention the man’s hands smelled like cigarettes, he was coughing, and the women bathroom was dirty (there was BM smear on the toilet basin).
Anyways in the future I’ll give them another try like I have in the past and tell the front desk to give me someone with form pressure skills. It did not make sense to go to a place that promotes healing through reflexology when there was no pressure during my upper front body rub as well as my feet.
Overall 2 stars because the foot tub water was hot/​warm and the towels olaced on the recliner were clean.

They have amazing prices with pretty good massager «therapists». I’m pretty sure none of them are licensed due to the low price and he fact that none of them speak English, so don’t go here expecting to go to somewhere like Burke Williams.
It’s about 25 bucks for a «foot massage» — they put your feet in hot water while they massage your head and body with you clothes on. Then massage your feet and then have you turn around for your back.
It’s about 45 bucks for a «full body massage» — you get to be undressed for this one so that they can use massage oil and spend as much time on the rest of the body as the feet.
They always have really good couples massage specials!

I’ve heard some really great things about the $ 20 foot massage and how this place is always consistent with its service. It just so happened I woke up and my back was all kinds of jacked up.
I walked in and was able to be seen right away. The front desk woman was super friendly and very helpful in helping me choose between a Swedish or deep tissue massge. I chose the deep tissue. The private room was okay. Dimly lit, smelled like they just moped the floor but it was clean and relaxing.
The massage was soooooooooo good. Vivian had very firm hands and really worked the knots that I had in my lower back. I walked out feeling so much better than before. I will definitely be returning for another massage on payday!

I came here for the one hour foot massage and had a relaxing experience! It was $ 20 + $ 5 and a good value.
The foot aspect is a misnomer– they pretty much touch 75% of your body. The 1 hr massages take place in a large room– which somewhat helps absorb sound and also has a relaxing pond/​water noise. First they steam your feet in a tub, and do upper body, then legs, then feet, then flip you over. I spent most of the massage with my eyes closed and the hour was over before I knew it. It’s definitely possibly to doze off and let your stress drift away.
The place seemed pretty sanitary and they had lots of different masseuses so you can reserve which gender you’d prefer ahead of time. They are English friendly enough too. I recommend making reservations ahead of time.

Is it me, or is it a little weird to have seen a mans face looking into my private room as I was getting a full body massage?
I come to this location pretty often and have gotten hot stone massages a few times before, but I never thought to look up while my entire body was facing down. Last night I went and got a full body massage, and in the middle of it, heard my masseuse mumble something. I thought she was instructing me to turn over… so, naturally, I looked up and there he was. The door was cracked open, and his face appeared to have been looking in as she said something in their native tongue, followed by a giggle. Definitely had to have been one of the workers. Whoa, buddy! This was in the midst of her getting started on my buttocks, legs, and thighs – I felt more exposed than usual. I understand that there are male masseuse who also perform full body massages as well, but for the sake of my comfort, there was a reason as to why I requested for a female.
Maybe I’m an amateur to the whole private full body massage experience (as I’ve probably only ever had a total of 4 in my entire lifetime and they were all at this very location), but are the doors supposed to be cracked open? I’ve never actually looked up before, however, this time I couldn’t stop looking after I had noticed that mans face! Is this how they air the room out?
Anyways, the massage itself was nice. The gal who did mine really dug in deep, but I think from here on out, I’ll just stick to getting their 20 $/​HR foot massage and look into getting my full body/​hot stone massages elsewhere. Just because it was a nice massage, doesn’t take away from the discomfort I had felt at that moment.

After regularly coming back weekly, I must say that I still can’t complain! For the price you pay, it’s still a pretty good massage. I personally always request Tom as my masseuse. One thing I must say is: Julie, the receptionist is way more helpful and nice compared to the other receptionist. I’d also like to add that they do memberships which include 10 cards for $ 170. One card is good for a foot massage and you can use two cards for a private body massage.

Heads says you leave the spa feeling like you got run over by a truck.
Tails says you leave feeling pretty damn good.
Since I get run over just as much as I leave feeling good, I can’t give this place more than 3 stars.
Oh, and I wish that the masseuses used their real first names. I don’t know if I’ve met very many Chinese people named Susan, Wayne, or Dennis, but I get the feeling that they call themselves that to cater to white folk who aren’t comfortable with names like Yao Ming. EMBRACE IT! Yao ming’s a dope name.

Oh Happy Day! I’ve been here something like a dozen times now, and each time I leave feeling like I made a great decision and wondering, «Why did it take me so long to come back?»
I’ve had both the full body and «foot» massage. There is no debate about which one to get. For half the money and the same amount of time, the foot massage gives your feet a treat, but also includes a lengthy (more than half the time) shoulder, head and body massage complete with oils, karate chops and deep tissue pressure. I would only get the full body massage if you have little interest in relaxing your extremities or have a weird thing about being in a shared room. The level of skill and satisfaction I’ve gotten from the full body masseuses has varied greatly anyway, while the foot folks are more consistent.
On my latest visit I had the unfortunate experience of walking in a female employee taking a deuce in the men’s bathroom, which makes me wonder if they have employee bathrooms and just how swell the work conditions are in general. I will say it looks like they are making a pretty penny off tips, but they’re working their asses off for them. Whatever the case, it’s a solid experience from a customer service standpoint.
