Wanted to try this place for so long and finally got the opportunity today! Ordered the Candy Attack, the Brownie Sundae, and the Caramel Corn. My wife said it was the best brownie sundae she has tried and I really liked the candy attack. I will definitely come to this place again soon to try out their other options.

I tried this truck at the event in Old Elk Grove. I got in line towards the end of the evening and there wasn’t as many people. I was able to order pretty quickly and got my desserts very quickly. The people were SO nice! Everyone I dealt with was as sweet as a cupcake! The gentleman working the register was so helpful in helping me pick out what to try and the young lady giving me the dessert was SO nice! She went above and beyond! I wanted to photograph my cupcake and she was kind enough to take it out of the box and put it back in so I could take it home. I ordered the afogato and it was delicious! It was very creamy and the perfect end to a night. I loved the hot espresso with the ice cream. They have Gunther’s ice cream on the truck so obviously, that’s delicious. I also got a cupcake and it was AMAZING! First off, it was HUGE and had lots of yummy frosting. It’s probably THEBEST value for a cupcake in California. Most bakeries sell and very small cupcake for $ 3. I thought the cake had a great texture, not dry at all. The flavor was awesome, the frosting was smooth. It was as cute as can be too! I can’t wait to try more items from this truck. I wish I could go right this second, in fact.

The cookie ice cream sandwiches are amazing. The nicest people run this truck and you can tell they appreciate your business. I would highly recommend if you like good dessert.

Super friendly owners run this adorable truck! We tried«the OMG», which is a well deserved name! It was a chocolate chip cookie with vanilla bean ice cream with caramel and chocolate sauce on top. Super yummy! We also tried the S’mores cupcake, it was perfectly executed! The marshmallow-like frosting was way better than I could have ever imagined! All of their cupcakes looked gorgeous and very gourmet! This truck is definitely a must when your craving something sweet!

The«Sweet Spot» is what the food truck reads. location: OTG: globe, stevenson(2÷14÷16) menu: cupcakes, coffee, ice cream, soda fountain items, ice cream sammie, juices, desserts etc. eats: «s’mores» cupcake(3) came with spoon in it.(good idea!) -«chocolate cake with ganache filling, topped with creamy icing, grahmn cracker and chocolate chucks.» –a gourmet adventure eating«smores», a different taste sensation with every bite. –not a cupcake addict, but i loved this. –many dimensional cupcake, not just singular topping and single flavored base. 3.75 stars. crumbs: –2 windows, 1 to order, 1 to receive eats, so professional! –service with a smile. even for 1 cupcake. 4 stars!

Ohhh Wow… THESWEETSPOT was the perfect way to end a nite of foodtrucks. People were super super friendly. Truck was clean and checkout with credit card was smooth(you’d be surprised w technology today). First off it was a freezing nite and my daughter ordered a hot chocolate. It was really yummy but I dont think its possible to mess up on hot chocolate. LOL. The second thing I ordered was the BREADPUDDING. OHHHHHWOWWWW was it fantastic. Really really fantastic. A little small for $ 7 but it was a knockout in taste. Bread pudding was really a delight with the perfect texture. So perfectly sweet and just the right warmth to compliment the ice cream topping. It came with a scoop of Gunthers french vanilla ice cream on top. MMMMMMMMM. That hit the spot perfectly after a nite of other SactoMoFo Food Truck indulgences.

I think they’ve changed their name to just«The Sweet Spot Baking Co.», but either way– kudos to the owners and workers for making an ice cream sandwich better than that of places like CREAM, etc. For $ 6, you can choose an ice cream flavor and a cookie of your choice, and believe me– it’s enough for two people to share. I had the oatmeal cookie with the maple bacon ice cream(delicious!) and it tasted like a yummy cold breakfast delight lol. I asked if they were primarily based in Sac, and the owner told me they were mobile pretty much all over NorCal, so keep an eye open for this place! Very yummy!

So glad to have found The Sweet Spot at the Elk Grove Food Truck Mania! I had an ice cream sandwich and it was amazing! I had one peanut butter cookie and one snicker doodle, filled with peanut butter brownie ice cream. Every part of it was good — the ice cream was to die for(it’s Gunthers!) and the cookies were moist and tasty. Already looking forward to the next Food Truck Mania so I can try another one of their desserts. This is definitely the kinda place that makes you want to eat dessert first!

When I ordered the«OMG» at a Sactomofo event, I thought $ 7 was a little steep. However when I actually got the thing, I realized it’s actually a 2-person dessert… and a good one at that! The warm chocolate chip cookie base is soft and delicious, but not so soft that it just falls apart. The vanilla bean Gunther’s ice cream on top was creamy and the right amount — they hit the perfect cookie: ice cream ratio for me and the warmth of the cookie creates such a nice sensation with the cold ice cream. The ice cream is drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauces, also a nice touch. The man who took my order and the woman who served it up were very friendly and efficient. I would be happy to find this truck again and try more of their wares.

I stopped in Old Town Elk Grove when I saw their truck. They had a lot of choices from Ice Cream, cupcakes, lemonade and more. I stopped just for cupcakes. Tried three the Rasp White Choc, chocolate and banana cream. Cost was $ 3 ea or 3 for $ 8. Size and presentation was great. I was disappointed in the flavor though. All were on the dry side ate with a fork and crumbled away as soon as I cut into them. The banana cream frosting was so overpowering, tasted very artificial almost like bubblegum is only way to explain. Choc cake was on the bitter side and the raspberry white Choc was okay but way too sweet. Service was good, size and price were good they just didn’t taste that great. Bummer. I’ll give 2 stars for the cupcakes and another for service.

I always hope these guys will be at the food truck mania every month. Some people have dogged the cupcakes and I can’t review on those. However, I always get the chocolate ice cream and chocolate chip cookies sandwich. The cookies are moist and soft and taste delicious as the ice cream soaks slowly into them. While we also got dinner, we came for this truck in particular. Try them out and be impressed.

Save room for this truck. You will be glad you did. Bacon was involved and all evidence seems to have vanished… I was like a damn crack head in a quarts crystal ground laden trailer park who just watched some one else’s crack sack get blown on to the ground by a large Fairfield strength gust of wind… Searching, attentive, twitching, and looking like I had to go to the bathroom by the time I finally made it thru the line and up to the window to place my order: A Bacon Maple Sunday, after just a sample of another Unilocalers. It was so good. Real bacon. Inside. Outside. Cold. Creamy. Delicious. The man taking my order was super friendly. The woman who served it was very pleasant and tastefully dressed. I was very happy with my whole acquisition experience. Sooooo… Why then only 4 stars? Well… The problem I had was I had not only SEEN but also SAMPLED another Unilocaler’s first. 1. They had more bacon. Notably so. 2. about ½ less cookie which was PERFECT where as mine was a touch too much cookie and short a touch of icecream. –Yup, that is pretty dam nit picky. I agree. It was just my experience though and would NOT in the least change me running after them like one of my dogs does the mail man if I seen them and didn’t know where they were headed.(ok maybe that is a tad of an over exaggeration) It was very good though. Period. Hope they come back to LINCOLN soon.

I’m so glad that they were at the Natomas food truck event tonight. Like I said in my first review, I wanted to try them again. This time I got the ice cream sandwich, vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip cookies. Delicious! The ice cream was from Gunthers and tasted like true vanilla bean. The cookies were soft but not too soft, they held well with the ice cream. Did I mention it was DELICIOUS? The ice cream sandwich cost $ 6. Al la carte cost for a cookie is $ 1.50. The fellas working the truck were sweethearts.

People are friendly. Love the ice cream sandwiches and they use Gunther’s ice cream. They are pretty big and cost $ 6. I also tried the Neapolitan cup cake and enjoyed it. The cup cakes are $ 3 each. I wish there were more choices of cookies and more choices of ice cream to mix n match the cookie sandwich. Also, it is a little pricey for dessert but is good quality. I always leave room for them at the SactoMoFo events.

This review is ONLY for the cupcakes, I went to the food trucks yesterday that come to our neighborhood every tuesday now and I was excited to see this one as I love sweets. So my daughter and I decided to try the cupcakes, we got the coconut & neopaltion. The presentation of the cupcakes were nice and once I bite into my nepalation cupcake I was overwhelmed by the super sweet frosting, and the cake was very dry and didnt have much flavor at all. I ended up throwing away half of the cupcake because I couldnt eat anymore, and my 9 year daughter threw hers away as well. Very disappointing needless to say.

I found this truck in a SactoMofo event and discovered a yummy bit of bread pudding goodness. It was rich and not overly sweet, perfectly cooked with pecans and a gooey glaze. I’d definitely want to try some of their other items(cupcakes, cookies, ice cream sandwiches…).

Every time I see this truck I have to get me some cupcakes!!! Not one but three! They always have a deal on 3. The raspberry one is my favorite but the red velvet and s’more ones are super yummy too. They stay fresh for a while. The cupcakes are so big it takes me like 2 ½ days to finish all three. Sometimes less though ;) I wish I had some right now!!!
