We are very pleased with the everything about Healthy Living Cleaning Service (HLC). The company came highly recommended on both Unilocal and Angie’s List, and the service we have received has been excellent.
The owner/​manager (Chris) provided us with a clear description and helpful suggestions regarding various cleaning options HLC provides. We chose a bi-​weekly schedule for our home and have received outstanding service from Heather and her support team. Billing has been accurate and easy to pay on-​line. This was my first time hiring a cleaning service ever. I reached out via e-​mail on their website, and I was responded to within half an hour. Chris replies to e-​mails quickly, and for me, that’s a huge indicator that they’re on top of their game and value their customers. I was a little nervous, because I wasn’t going to be home during the service. However, everything went smoothly; they were able to get into my house, find my parking spaces, etc.
I was so excited to get home. Everything was clean and organized; they even went above and beyond and organized my daughter’s approximately 18,000 stuffed animals. My daughter and I ran from room to room of the house, so happy that our house was clean. I left a list of priorities, and even told them not to touch the spare bedroom if they didn’t have time. They DID touch the spare bedroom! It was organized and vacuumed and the bathroom was spotless. I wasn’t expecting them to even get to it. My showers are so clean! Cleaner than i could ever get them. Also, the people who lived in my house before me clearly smoked indoors, and as a result, sticky, brown nicotine was dripping from the pain in the walls. I’ve tried to scrub it off several times to no avail. I mean, I’m not great at cleaning, but that crap was hard to get off. Guess what? They got ALL of it off. That made me very happy. I wasn’t expecting them to do that.
Now, I’m giving 5 stars because this company deserves great reviews and repeated business. However, when I went to get into my bed, there was disgusting lint/​fur/​whatever else on my sheets. And under that, pee. I have two pets, so obviously it was one of them, but they have never peed on my bed before. My bed wasn’t really «made,» the sheets and blankets were just pulled up. I definitely had to change my bedding before going to bed. My house wasn’t perfect, but it was way, way better than it was before. They even rearranged a few things, like my living room lamp and my pet feeding area – which I loved. I’m always looking for better ways to arrange things in my home and they nailed it. I’m going to keep it the way they left it. I should note, though, that I paid for 6 man hours, which translates to two people cleaning for 3 hours. They may have simply not had time to detail everything. However, what lacked in the bedroom was made up for with my daughter’s endless crap and books being organized.
In a nutshell: I definitely recommend this company, and if my budget allows, I will be reaching out again.

We used HLCS for the first time and are sold! Chris made it very easy to book our cleaning, asked great questions about what we were expecting, and gave us a realistic idea of what our booking would offer. Cheyenne & Leilani were right on time, very professional, and did a fantastic job for our home that was in need of a deep clean! I loved that the products they use are pet-​friendly and non-​toxic, as our dogs decided they would follow them around most of the booking. They were very detailed and thorough in every room, and made sure to ask what our priorities were in advance. Our dogs even warmed up to them! At the end of their booking, we were provided with a detailed list of what they cleaned in each room, as well as a lovely thank you card and Starbucks giftcard. Cheyenne said HLCS offers discounts for military veterans, because the notice my husband was military from our photos. We look forward to being repeat HLCS customers!

Healthy Living Cleaning Service came in and did a thorough deep cleaning of my house to get me jump started on keeping a clean house. They did an excellent job. I was more than pleased. I am signing up for them to clean the house every other week.
The cleaners were friendly and neat and sent a follow-​up text to make sure everything was okay.

I have been using HLCS for several months and am absolutely impressed by this company. Their team is always on time and call even if they will be a few minutes late due to traffic. The attention to detail is wonderful and when I ask for them do something extra there are no complaints.
I like the checklist that they leave after every cleaning so I know exactly what was done. The cleaning solution they use smells fantastic. The reason I choose this firm was from the many positive review on Unilocal and that they are a veteran owned business. I think it is very important to support our vets!
Their rates are reasonable and it is a wonderful gift to give yourself — a clean house by a trusted company.

What was actually cleaned was done adequately. However, I cannot recommend this cleaning company. Based on the square footage recommendations on the company website, I prepaid for 5 hours of cleaning services. I was told two people would come to clean for 2.5 hours each. However, the cleaning crew left early and failed to clean one of the bedrooms in my home. This is unacceptable.

First time using a cleaning service and I was very pleasantly surprised. A lot of attention to detail, super friendly staff.

Professional and has products that really work! I had such a sticky floor surface I couldn’t seem to get clean in the kitchen, and they introduced a product that not only cleaned and sterilized, I felt good walking on it. So glad I came into connection with Healthy Living Cleaning Services, a relatively good idea for anyone wanting a healthier living space.

Had Healthy Living out for the first time on 6÷19÷15. I keep my home very clean myself, but my back no longer allows for a lot of sweeping and mopping so need help with it. I chose Healthy Living over the competition because it is certified as being veteran-​owned. I was not physically present, but made sure someone was as I hadn’t used Healthy Living previously. Per Healthy Living’s request, I had a priority cleaning list ready for the crew. What was reported to me was the service being on-​time, thorough, efficient, and best of all, very little conversation with the crew which is good as more talk means less work for the amount of time purchased. When I arrived home after working 12 hours, the house was clean to my standards which isn’t easy to do. Their very reasonable price and hand-​written thank you note just seal the deal. Healthy Living will now have a life-​time customer.

Great service, period! Came home to a thank you note, checklist, and a beautifully cleaned place. The kitchen and bathrooms were sparkling. Chris, one of the owners, was very professional and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this cleaning service! They are top notch!

Healthy Living is on top of its game! Definitely worthy of another Unilocal «shout-​out» due to their quality service.

I took a brief hiatus from their service a couple months back as I was looking to trim my personal expenses, but with a 90 minute work commute each day, the professional cleaning expense is well worth it!

Been using Healthy Living Cleaning for almost a year now and they exceed my expectations every time. Coming home from work after a long day to a perfectly clean house is one of the best feelings! Besides the cleaning, the customer service is the best. You can tell the owners really care about their customers and I love the ease of scheduling. Can’t recommend them enough, love, love, love HLC!

HLCS is the first cleaning service I have ever used and I think I struck gold. I have used them several times now and they always do a fantastic job. I cannot express the bliss of coming home to my sparkling condo, devoid of dog hair, whenever they visit– it’s like Santa Claus for adults.
Pros:
–on time arrivals
–excellent work quality– they took specific requests and ensured they were met, they didn’t just focus on the low hanging fruit
–excellent customer service– Chris always does his best to accommodate our schedules and requests
–handwritten thank you notes PLUS a starbucks gift card from the staff (maybe it IS Santa?)
–the green cleaning products– our house smells like a minty-​citrus spa day instead of bleach and alcohol
Cons:
–I’ll let you know if I think of one.
Additional info: I live in an 1100sq ft condo, and we typically use them a few times a year– so we aren’t on a monthly or biweekly plan (which I know requires fewer man hours). For our space, and a good clean, it’s 4 man hours (or two people for two hours) and totally worth every penny.

I have been using HLCS for awhile now. I have bi-​weekly cleanings that I always look forward to (as do my kids, because it means they don’t have any chores that evening). Coming home after a long day at work to an exceptionally clean home is so awesome. Everything is spotless, beds are made, smells so clean! I’m so glad I decided to hire them. Before, I was so stressed out with trying to work, dealing with kids and keeping a clean home, I just couldn’t deal with it.
Also, I wanted to give a special thanks to Kimme, she is one of the gals that comes to my home regularly and she always goes above and beyond. Just recently, the lock on my door wouldn’t open, I think the moisture from the rain has been causing it to jam. She stuck it out, in the rain, until she was finally able to get in. Everyone at HLCS is helpful, professional and always works with you to get things done! I have recommended them in the past and will continue to do so in the future!

So… apparently you have to abide by some kind of unspoken «rules» for the cleaning business in Sac. This is my SECOND crap review on a cleaning service. This company just told me they don’t have time for me anymore because they’re «short staffed.» This, after speaking with «Chris» a month ago and getting set-​up for monthly service. HE didn’t want to do monthly service and tried aggressively to bully me into a bi-​weekly service, which I don’t need! I almost told him forget it but gave them a chance anyway. The two cleaners showed up at the scheduled time. Their vacuum was broken so they had to use mine but they did a good job. Too bad they don’t have time for me.
ATTN business owners: THIS IS WHAT Unilocal IS FOR. Info needs to be out about experiences. That way, people can make their own decisions. NO need for follow-​up.

Moved into a new home and needed a through cleaning. One person came and cleaned from 8:10am-4:40pm. Used them again today to freshen it up for company this weekend. Three people descended on my home and got the job done in 4 hours.
Very professional and they really do pay attention to details. I will definitely hire them again!

Very professional and polite service. They did what I asked for and more. They even wiped down my couch that was covered in baby stuff. They told me not to worry cause they are fast. My house is so clean I want to cry!!!
Also, they were right on time and kept quiet while my baby slept!

Switched to HLC and they are really good. Clean well and the price is reasonable. Very good billing systems through BofA so it cuts down on check writing and also saves me money.
Chris set it up through e-​mail and called me once to confirm everything. The bi-​weekly service is short and sweet and makes my life easier.

HLC has now been to my home three times (biweekly) and I am just as impressed, if not more, then their initial visit where they did a deep cleaning. I have never encountered a cleaning service that consistently pays attention to the details… to the degree that all my countertop and furniture decorative items are always in their proper spots. All the services I have used in the past would move everything off the top of a surface (in the interest of saving time… thereby spending less time on a job) and just spread everything out when done… and not in the originals places. A little thing yes, but very irritating to someone, such as myself, who is a stickler for attending to the details.
I come home to a fresh smelling home, and most importantly, my kitties are not stressed out by having someone, other than myself, in the house… My team of ladies is great and I can depend that they’ll always provide me with a service I truly believe I could not find elsewhere… even for more $$.

As a first-​timer to house cleaning services, I was a bit hesitant and uncomfortable to use one. I looked to Unilocal for recommendations & chose HLCS. I am so glad I did! Val and Monica were organized, professional, efficient, and understanding of my situation. I knew my cleaning needs might be a «worst case scenario» due to quite a bit of neglect on my part. The two of them tackled the problem areas and my expectations were exceeded. Not only that, they were kind and empathetic, plus I got some great down-​to earth advice as to how to maintain the hard work they did.
Thank you so much for getting me over the hump… I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel! I will definitely go to HLCS in the future.
