Welcome to Dr. Carl Herrera, D.M.D., where we put your dental and well being first. We invite you to visit us at our Sacramento area location for all your dental needs. We are focused on patient comfort and the quality of treatment you receive. I consider myself very conservative in treatment planning and offer free second opinions if you have questions about your dental health. I do not believe in ‘Dental Sales’, I will tell you what I see and what treatment options there are from the most basic to the most exotic, the pros and cons of each, and try my best to answer your questions or concerns. We offer full range of services including: crowns either all porcelain or PFM, gentle cleanings, tooth colored fillings, dentures, partials, implant supported dentures, emergency exams, extractions and root canals.

We offer free consultations to meet my staff and myself and also offer free second opinions if you have dental concerns.
We have regularly scheduled hours Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, but also offer hours by appointment on Tuesdays and Fridays, the Yelp hours section does not reflect that.

I am graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia.
I was born and raised in California, and I am an alumni of CSU Sacramento. I have also completed a fellowship at the University of Washington in their DeCod program, which is focused on Dental Education in Care of Disabled and geriatric patients. I am actively involved in continuing education study clubs and programs.
The way I practice focuses on patient comfort and quality of care. My philosophy is to treat all of my patient like they are my mother or how I would like to be treated. I only refer out for specialty needs to doctors I would see myself for treatment, not just because they are around the corner.
