Description

Specialties

Hoi Polloi Fusion Dance Ensemble is based on the ancient Greek term, «the many», and is here to bring women of all ages together. We believe each of us has a deep-seated desire toward movement with intention. Some of us remember our dance before our bodies changed through injury, childbirth, or ageing, while others feel it in their dreams but have yet to begin their journey. Let your curiosity take over and come dance with women who dance for dancing’s sake and move solely for the fun of it!

History

Established in 2013.

We started Hoi Polloi Fusion Bellydance Ensemble as a way for women of all ages and experience to get together and dance on a weekly basis, outside of the pressures of a classroom environment. Hoi Polloi shares original choreography from dancers within our group that introduces our members to a bit of Egyptian bellydance, burlesque, tribal fusion, and flamenco.
