J’s Tax Service is by far the absolute best place any of you can get your Taxes done! It’s a family business. While there you hear the staff call out to «Grandpa»
“Mom” «Aunt»… Even the new baby Grandson stops by & visits ‘The Family Business’! Janet is my tax preparer, she is beyond amazing. Her daughters work there too.
I have to say, when you go to J’s Tax Services, you can’t help but feel, you are at home with The Family!
When I went there, I was offered homemade Chili that was in the crockpot.
Many years ago, I USE to go to H & R Block. Until one year they said ‘I owed nearly $ 2,000 in taxes’. And that’s when I got referred to Janet, with J’s Tax Services! And ever since then I get a refund! I have referred many people to Janet, and they are all raving about how great she is! One year Janet was so busy her Daughter, did my taxes! I just can’t rave enough about Janet, & her family with J’s Tax Services!
They really care, so go there!

We have been going to J’s Tax services for over 10 years now and have always been treated with respect and confidentiality with our taxes. We usually are waiting about 15 – 20 minutes and we are ok with that. Dave always helps us sort everything out and will always make sure we are getting all allowable deductions. Overall I would recommend J’s to friends and family

I love this place it is very family oriented Everyone here is very nice. My friend referee me 5 yrs ago and I won’t go any were else my daughter and son n law also have their taxes done here. Janet is out tax preparer and I couldn’t ask for a nicer caring person. I highly recommend coming here

The MOST unprofessional people ever. So I’ve gone there for a couple of years and it’s been fine. Always pretty unprofessional but I go there once a year so… not a big deal. I sent my sister in law there and she won’t be back. Janet was eating during the appointment, then her daughter came in and the two talked about personal things in front of a new client. But this morning my girlfriend went in after a graveyard shift. The receptionist had a huge fight with her boyfriend and looked like she hadn’t showered and was wearing pajamas. Janet showed up, and even though my girlfriend had been there waiting, she went in back and could be heard talking about the fight with soneone else. My girlfriend waited for 15 mins after her appointment time. She finally left without getting her taxes done. Client experience is so far off these people’s radar. DO NOT GO HERE.

Well, I set an appointment with Ashley yesterday, and was able to get in today! I have been played for a lack of better words by my previous tax place! Which is my fault for going back after the first year, but I’m big on helping small businesses! However with them really taking advantage of me BIG TIME last year I was done. My cousin’s, cousin recommended this place, I went with her to get a feel of the people! Honest opinion, everyone here is amazing! So helpful and just a great environment. I felt almost like they all treat you like family. Most of all, you know what you’re paying up front! No one taking advantage of you here! Seriously some of the nicest people I’ve met! I’ll definitely be returning with Ashley, and I do recommend her, tell her Dolores sent you!

I’ve been getting my taxes done here by Janet now for the past 5 years now after being referred by my sister in law. I’ve always had a pleasant as you can experience while filing taxes with her and she is very knowledgeable. My parents came with me one year and were impressed and were able to get theirs done right after mine and have been coming for 3 years now. I highly recommend her.

My wife and I have been coming to J’s Tax service together for 5 years in a row and before that Janet did my wife’s tax’s as well as her parents. She has always provided great service and is also very knowledgeable and funny. She really does the greatest job and treats us like family and not just another client.

I’ve been seeing Janet for several years now and have to say that this year was the first time I went and sat down with her in office. She’s amazing and really knows her stuff. She saved me thousands of dollars I had no idea were write offs. I thought I would be owing but I left with a nice refund! I highly reccommend her.

I had an appointment with Janet on Thursday, July 16, 2015. I found the service on the internet and after speaking with Janet, I thought I had found the help I needed. I took the day off work and arrived at the office for my scheduled appointment at 10:00 am. I was told that Janet wasn’t feeling well and I was asked if I could come back. I overheard the secretary call another client to reschedule and that made a 1:30 pm available for me (how tacky). The first impression leaves a lasting impression. I was very upset that I was not informed before my arrival that the appointed needed to be rescheduled nor was I impressed to return at a later time. I refused to return at 1:30 pm and told the secretary I would seek professional tax services elsewhere. NOT GOOD BUSINESS ETHICS!

AMAZING! My first year at J’s and I had Ashley as my tax consultant, she was personable, super helpful, smart, and pretty! This was honestly the best tax experience I’ve ever had, I will for sure be coming back every year from now. You can tell Ashley really enjoys her job and is good with numbers, and she made me actually consider doing others taxes in the future! If you work in the food/​restaurant industry, this is the only tax place you should come to. My tax return is 4x what it normally is and took 4x as less time! thank you Ashley!

The IRS has told us that we are the largest e-​filers in a single office in Sacramento. Larger than H&R Block. Together we have over 4000 clients. We are very personable people and make you feel at home. Come in her office and try us, you won’t be disappointed.

Do NOT recommend this company! I can’t believe people go here. The man filing my taxes informed me he received his certificate to file taxes through H&R Block. Really? Then why am I paying him the big bucks when I could have gone to H&R Block. I won’t be back.

I’m giving them two stars because 3 out of the 4 years I used them they were great. However, I was audited back in September/​October (not exactly busy tax season) and I called them for help. I was told to fax over my documents and they would get back to me. I never heard anything. When I called back about 2 weeks later they said they couldn’t find my documents so I needed to re fax them. Uhh… ok? Over the course of the next two months I called about a dozen times to speak with Janet, who had done my taxes. She was either on the phone, with a client, out to lunch, on vacation, left early for the day, etc. When I finally received a call back after leaving a rather harsh voicemail, I was basically told «Yep. Looks like you owe them money.». Gee. Thanks for the help, guys.
Audit aside, I don’t feel comfortable trusting my taxes with a company who loses sensitive documents and/​or can’t return a phone call.

We have been using Jay’s tax service for over 15 years and have complete faith in their knowledge and efficiency. With three business over the years our returns are complicated and Jay has an uncanny knack for ferreting out all the important information and producing an accurate return — accurate enough for us to survive a thorough audit a few years back and not having to pay an additional cent!
The rant by Ashleigh C is totally opposite of our experience. The staff has always been very courteous and helpful. Funny that it was written in March a month before the filing deadline.

Me and my family uses J’s Tax Service for 14 years now. Each year we trust Janet and their crew with our taxes. I like getting family friendly service. We now have our own business and I’m pleased with the experience we had filing our business taxes as well. They are very knowledgeable and can do the job right we will continue to use them and recommend J’s Tax to friends and family. They also do Payroll Services and we will be considering that service in the near future as well.
