Last Stand Readiness & Tactical

First off I would like to say thanks again to Chris for helping me out and my mother when we went together to this amazing establishment. I was assisted in what I needed for home defense and all of the suggestions I was given was very good advice. I highly recommend this place for those who want to invest into home defense for the first time since all of the staff that work there are very courteous and will always do their best to assist anyone that needs help. I will be going back there for all of my home defense needs and for some of their t shirts as well.

I came here when it first opened and they couldn’t even sell firearms yet. I admit, I was young and barely 18. Didn’t know jack about guns. But I came here to buy parts and they are willing to help me EVERYTIME, Superb service. Come here often enough for them to call me a «frequent flyer». Cool people and a great store. They are always improving on their in-​stocks so I can’t complain. My only complaint, I dislike their parking lot.

The best experience I have ever had at a gun store, or any store for that matter. The staff are friendly and happy to share their knowledge and advice. The array of tactical gear is extensive and their gun selection is great. Christopher helped me on my several visits and was absolutely awesome to work with. He really knows his stuff and I will definitely be returning. Thanks so much guys!

I love this place. I make it a point to stop here every time I’m in town. The guys are really cool here and take their time answering all of your questions. I wish they would make a second location in Sonoma county!

Christopher and Drew gave exceptional service. Nice in and out service that was professional. Bought 2 Spikes Tactical lower without any issue. They carry many pre-​built AR-​15s if you are not in the mood to build one yourself. Will come back again!

Customer service was outstanding! Employees were very knowledgeable and helpful when asking for honest opinions about certain products. Purchased a firearm and referred a friend. Will definitely be back!

I really wanted to give this store 5 stars because it is a pretty cool little place, but it just lacks in a few areas that keep me from giving it a perfect score.
Firstly, I feel the prices are a little steep. If you’re looking for the occasional bargain, this isn’t the place for you. I wouldn’t st May the pricing is outrageous, but I would probably buy from a larger corporation over Last Stand if they were selling the same product just because the prices don’t appeal to me.
Secondly, the guys in the store are nice enough, but they have that «gun store» mentality where they know way more than you do and they are going to prove it rather than just answering a simple question. I guess this is just the tough guy mentality of gun stores in general, but you’ll find it here as well.
Lastly, it is a little irritating that they have stocking issues with the product. You see something on display and you’re like «ok I want to buy that» and all too often the response is «ah man I’m sorry, but we don’t have it in stock». This unfortunately makes me prefer shopping online rather than helping the local businesses out. Can’t help it when the product just isn’t on the shelf.
At any rate, give this place a shot because it is a neat store, but I just wish it could be a little better!

Been coming to this store since their humble beginnings. They seem to always be changing rearranging and supplying some of the highest quality tactical gear for a reasonable price. With ex military or very knowledgeable store associates. Went In today just to check it out looking for a new hand gun and found their selection is ever growing, talked with an associate for atleast an hour gave me a lot of information about what gun was appropriate for me. After we got done talking guns we started talking gear and he seemed really into the conversation wanted to get me the right gear. Very pleased from the first time I walked it to now. Will always come back to get more gear ammo and firearms well worth the 5 stars keep it up you guys.

I got my FSC done here and a couple weeks later and after tons of research I decided on my first handgun. They had the one I wanted here, but they didn’t have the two tone color I was looking for. I ended up getting it anyways because the buying experience was friendly and easy compared to another place I went to. They don’t have a huge selection, but it’s nice store and worth a visit. I’ll be making more purchases here for sure.

Chris and Antony are my go to guys in the South Sacramento area in regards to firearm/​gear needs. Chris and Antony provides EXCELLENT customer services and are very knowledgeable and, more importantly, respectful to their customers unlike other places like Rivercity Gun Exchange or other gun stores in the area. The only con that I can think of is that the parking can suck from time to time, especially during rush hour but that is a very minor con if compared to the fact that the knowledge and services provided by these gents outweigh the con. I forgot to add that this place is family friendly because there have been times where I took along my 2 year old daughter as well as my wife and they did not feel unwelcome/​awkward like in other gun stores. I can honestly say that because of Chris and Antony’s knowledge and customer services, my wife was comfortable enough to take and pass her handgun certificate here as well. In my opinion, these guys ARE the best in town.

I like this shop! They have great tactical gear, prepper supplies, survival gear, clothing, AR parts, shooter supplies, military patches, some nice rifles and military grade first aid. I like that they are located in a working class part of town and that the staff are extremely knowledgeable and have either military, LEO or first responder experience in the field. Prices are fairly reasonable and I come here when I don’t want to make the trek to Bass Pro, Sportmans WH, etc. One small negative is that I called a few months ago to ask if I can have a firearm shipped to them FFL from an online order and how much they would charge NOT including DROS… He said flat out «$ 100 bucks». I said can you please repeat that, «ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS» he said clearly. I said okie doke, thank you Sir! Not worth their time and effort I guess. No biggie but found that interesting. Other than that a great local resource if you live in the South/​Elk Grove Area.

One of my top most favorite places to go!!! They have it all, from the nice selection of choice weaponry, to the gadgets to put on all of them. Perfect store for all of the tacticool people who want toys play with, and real gear for weapon enthusiasts and or people who see it as more than just toys to play with. They have alot of survival/​preparedness/​camping gear for alot of different choices and situations. They also carry a decent sized assortment of medical equipment for self aid buddy care, to advanced level trauma and pre-​hospital care. They also have some cool patches to slap onto your gear. The service here is typical military arrogance, but being military myself, i realize that im a man and i dont cry like alot of other people do when talking to the staff. Love this place and will be a life long customer.

This store is great for tactical and survival supplies. I wasn’t expecting much when I walked in because the store seemed so small, but I was amazed at how much they had there. Their handgun selection was fairly small, but their prices were reasonable. They have a good selection of ARs. The staff was also very friendly. I’ll definitely be returning soon.

As a Veteran, I always take a deep breath before going in gun stores. I expected the usual lip service, but right off the bat, one of the employees was wearing a Combat Infantry Badge –pin. He also said that everyone here is a vet. Either Infantry, and 1 Medic. After a brief convo, it was nice to know that there are vets working where their expertise can be used.
I got my AR-​15 Decked out, and I also Picked up a PTR-​91.
If you need any gear, they got the good stuff without having to sign over your first born.
This place definitely exceeded my expectations, is VERY Veteran friendly, and knows what works.
If you need to get squared away, call these guys.

I have probably shopped here three or four times now. I have bought a lower, bullet button, mags, bullet box, etc. I really like all the guys that work there. They are very nice and helpful. You can tell they know what the hell they are talking about, and they have a passion for guns. The prices are okay. It’s reasonable, not over priced, not cheap. The place is small but most of the time I go there I already know what I want so I don’t need to browse around. They do sell emergency disaster food and etc which is really neat. Overall I would recommend this place.

I was in the search of 16 gauge shotgun shells and I couldn’t find them anywhere. Last Stand was on my way home so I decided to stop by and see if they had any shells…
Interior/​Setting
Located on Florin Road in wonderful Meadowview next door to a Little Caesars. Yeah South Sac, Meadowview, Little Caesars… all bad lol Last Stand appears to specialize in AR-15’s and survival gear.
Service
Typical cocky gun shop. I asked if they had 16 gauge shells and they responded with «NOPE!» I asked if they knew where I might find any because I was having a hard time finding them. They responded with «NOPE!». One word answers are extremely annoying especially to a first time customer. After the 2 «Nope» answers I got, the staff just walked away from me and helped another customer. I did like some of the gear they had for AR’s but would never give them a dime!
Overall
I will never visit this gun shop again. RiverCity Gun Exchange on Fruitridge and 24^th St is just 5 min away and much nicer staff that is willing to spend a few minutes with you.

So I had a few bucks to spare and wanted to get some things for work. I walked in and the guy at the counter was really friendly and helpful, showed me around and helped me with the things that I asked for/​about. I didn’t get any lip service and felt that the clerk was a genuinely helpful and good person who cared about helping me. I made small talk with some of the staff and enjoyed my short stay. I will definitely come back here due to their small but quality inventory and their friendly customer service.

Let me start by saying that this is not how I typically spend my Saturday afternoon. My husband and I were looking for a few basic emergency supplies, but we’re beginners and not really sure of what we’re doing. The owner, Dan, and his staff, including Eric, were extremely friendly and helpful, giving us lots of information and tips on the products we were considering and purchasing. We walked out very pleased with the time we spent there and plan to return. This is the difference between shopping at a large, faceless chain store, and a locally owned/​operated shop. In short, this is a fantastic store, and we highly recommend it.
