Madison Auto Spa Car Wash & Detail

Terrible job. I purchased the platinum, the most expensive service, and hand wax. It cost $ 50. The car is brand new, just took on road trip. After the car wash, the bumpers still had smudged gunk on them in various places, all the rims were still dirty, the car had multiple dirt spots on the exterior. The interior had a thick layer of oily product on the dashboard in some areas, so the areas that they did not clean stood out. I pointed to all of that the employee, he just kept saying you need to get the more expensive wax job… I told the employee if the car was washed, dried, and then hand waxed, it should not have had any spots. When I went home, I wiped the dashboard, dried the cup holder from the cleaner that was left there. I was very surprised by the dirty residue left behind, which made me think about the rags they use from one car to another to another. I will never go there again.
I wish I checked Unilocal prior to going there, its obvious it is an ongoing issue.

4^th time using them. Very happy with the service. So much so that I drove a long distance. I witnessed very hard working staff. However, today July 5 before taking my car in I thought about taking my spare dollar bills out o one of the departments in my car. Dumb on my part. It was gone when I checked again. Because of one bad apple I will not be returning. Hope you can weed him or them out.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Brought my Corvette here and it is to low to go through the machine so I paid for a hand wash. I watched the two guys who washed it and it was a joke. They didn’t even attempt to actually wash all the surfaces they just randomly pushed the rags around some and then stopped. The guy that cleaned the rims only used the brush on the drivers front and then stopped. When they gave us the car back there were oily looking spots on my wife’s seat and when she showed them to the guy he brushed at them with a rag with a terrible attitude. The inside of the car was dirtier than when we arrived.

I would give 0 stars if I could this place charges way too much and didn’t clean the inside of my vehicle at all. The carpets weren’t cleaned well, all the plastic was still dirty, my rims were still dirty. It’s like I paid 21.99 to go through a crappy gas station drive thru car wash. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I have attached photos… these are from their parking lot before I even left!

Everytime I come in here they do an awesome job with my car. They have even fixed something if I am not happy. I think the people are really nice too. I will only let them touch my car (as far as a car washes go)!!

Got my car washed a little while ago. While they were a little busy I got my car back within a short time. I ordered the $ 34.99 package as my poor car doesn’t get done inside and out very often. Usually I just get the outside done but I couldn’t see out the windshield so it was time for a full service wash. Anyway it looks ok. My car is black and shows everything. They told me about the hard water spots on the front which I already knew about because there is a lame sprinkler in front of my parking space. I didn’t feel like paying extra to have it removed. The trunk had sone spots on it when I got home. Assuming that was missed? The outside mirrors have spots on them as do the windows. Not a lot but me being the owner of the car notice these things. I read in another review about the armorall yes they get a bit heavy handed with it on the dash. While I appreciate that it at least got done it causes a glare on the windshield while driving towards the sun. They cleaned my car out and vacuumed so I’m happy. The girl vacuuming even lifted the car seat up and vacuumed under it. While I’m not writing a negative or positive review I will probably come here only if I need a full wash and get the lower package. Other wise I will just go to the drive thru ones.

If you have an exterior/​interior cleaning Groupon, make sure to make an appointment regardless of what the lady who answers the phone says. Customers paying cash/​credit gets priority. You will have to either wait a really long time or be told to come back with an appointment. What kind of business service cash paying customer over prepaid service? I find it silly that they choose to do business this way. Service should be served in the order of which they are received regardless of payment and NOT by choosing cash paying customers over prepaid services. Once I got my car back, the interior was overloaded with Armor oil so keep that in mind. Had service better else where. I would not be going back to this location, ever.

I just went here to try and see if it was as good as it looked because there always seems to be quite a few cars. I asked for the basic exterior wash and they said it would be 45min. Ok fine I’ll give it a try. It was shorter at about 30min but they did a terrible job. There was still dirt on the paint and water spots because they evidently don’t use filtered water for the rinse like most places. I must say it was not worth the money or wait for this bad of a job.

This place is hit and miss. When they do a great job, I don’t want to go anywhere else. A tad pricier than other places. I usually go through one of the drive thru washes, but if iI need my tires and interior cleaned, I go here. Good location too.

Unfortunately, this place has gone down-​hill over the years. :(
In the past 12 months I’ve gone about 7 times. 2 of those times I left feeling satisfied. The other 5 times… not so much.
They seem to be way understaffed. Even on weekdays (in the AM), they always appear back-​logged. I’ve waited an hour and 15 min for a simple vacuum and wash. It normally takes a bit longer than you might think here, but that day was ridiculous!
Last time I left with water spots ALL over my car. I stood at the window inside the waiting area and watched my car sit (wet) for a good 15 min before it was ever touched.
The employees were running around trying to get to each car in a reasonable amount of time, but it was obvious they couldn’t handle the load. I got in my car and it looked like they maybe spent a total one minute vacuuming it. The dash and radio console were all still dusty, like it hadn’t been touched.
I haven’t been back since that last episode… I was pretty disappointed. It just kept getting worse and worse every time I went. Sucks, cause it’s close to my house and was always my go-​to car wash. :(

I called the week before I planned on taking my car in to see if I needed a reservation for an interior detail. No. I called again the morning I was going to take it, and they said there was only one car just being finished and to bring it in. That was at 10:00 AM. I dropped it off at 10:30 — there was no other car being detailed. They said it would take just about 2 hours to detail. I was picked up by a friend and then dropped off 1−½ hours later. Waiting ½ hour was no big deal. My car had been washed and was just on the other side of where it was to be detailed. I assumed it was finished. They hadn’t even begun, and in fact didn’t even start until 1:00 PM — 2.5 hours AFTER they told me it would be ready. So, having no ride anywhere and not being in an area (Garfield and Madison) where there was much to do, I just waited since I was told AGAIN that it would be 2 hours.
Shall I cut to the chase? 3−½ hours later my car was finished. Oh, and i was told after 3 hours that if I wanted to take the car home and bring it back another day, that would be okay. Huh? The car was finished 5 hours after I was told it would be. Not only that, there was so much Armour All all over the interior that I almost slid across both seats getting in and could hardly hold onto the steering wheel it was so slippery. The carpets were sopping wet. And I mean drenched. The removable carpets didn’t dry out for 3 days. 3 days! The windows were all streaked from, I’m guessing, Armour All. It was THE WORST.
When this carwash was Windmill it was the best, friendliest and most convenient. With the new ownership (it’s been a few years), it is awful. Oh, and I have tried calling every day to talk to the manager. «He’s busy.» Can you imagine someone answering the phone in an office and when you ask to speak to someone, and they just say «he’s busy»!! I finally left a message to have the manager call me back. That was on Thursday. It is now Monday and i guess he’s «still busy», because he hasn’t returned my call. By the way, this is the first time I have ever written a complaint about anything. That’s how bad it was.

they estimated 20 to 25 minutes… after an hour I had to pull my car without it being dried. I complained to the manager and he said they couldn’t staff the place because they don’t know how many customers would show up.
The workers doing the work were very nice and apologetic but the place is really bad.

This place is called dirtbusters. I am very impressed. I bought a Groupon for an exterior detail and I used it on my husbands car and I was very impressed with the service, they removed the hard water spots. Then I went back for a platinum wash for my car. I will definitely be coming back. The prices are reasonable also.

If there was negative star i wouldve chose that this place sucksssss it was my first time there and it was a horrible experience their extremly slowww had to wait an hour and half and then my car wasnt clean at all never go there

This place is now called Dirtbusters II. Extremely thorough but it took nearly 40 minutes for the Platinum Wash. Sundays and Mondays you get $ 5.00 off the regular price of $ 34.99. It’s almost the same services as getting a detail except the hand wax and carpet shampoo are not included. I will go back.

They are a little slow but do a great job

Just tried to take my car here for cleaning before selling. I used to receive very nice service here but they seemed so uninterested in providing even basic service today, I left. I asked about carpet cleaning, and they wanted $ 75. My mistake, I just wanted mats cleaned, not the whole car, but she made no effort to understand or offer alternatives. I had a question about how to keep some paint that is flaking off in a spot from getting worse. I thought their ‘detail’ people might know. She reluctantly went to ask and I watched as he waved his arms around and left the area for a break. She comes back and says, «he can’t do anything». (He didn’t even look at it !!! lol) To be clear they were NOT busy atr all.
I told her, ‘I don’t think you are very interested in my business’, handed her back the tags and left. I was going to call management as I left, but upon reflection, I don’t think they would care much and that’s likely the whole problem and i’ll bet it changes hands again soon. Am now headed over to Pavilions in Arden area which gets nice reviews. I’ll let you know.

I wanted to take my car in somewhere to get it completely cleaned out and start fresh. I remembered going to Dirt Busters about a year ago and that it took a long time, but don’t remember being too frustrated about it. Against my better judgment from past experience and reading Unilocal reviews about other area locations of this company in deciding if I should go again, I decided to take the chance.
I was told it would take an hour and a half for the interior detailing, which also included an exterior wash (usually it takes an hour to an hour and a half, I was told), and was promised my car would look like new once it was returned to me. I dropped the car off at 11:30, had lunch across the street and spent quite a bit of time in the waiting room at the car wash reading a book. Two hours rolled by and I asked the girl at the desk to get an estimate about when my car would be ready. She called, and they said it would be ready in about 15 minutes. This was already getting annoying but I could deal with 15 minutes more. A lady who had also been waiting was visibly frustrated and pretty much reaming the employees about their poor service and her ridiculously long wait time. Just before 2:30 hit (reminder: this is THREE hours after I left my car for a ninety minute service), I walked outside to find my car clean and waiting on the side opposite the usual pick-​up area.
A man walked up to me, asking for my receipt and I explained I hadn’t paid yet because I was waiting for them to call my number. He said they had called my number, and I paused for a moment to doubt my hearing, but every time Desk Girl’s voice came on the intercom, I hopefully and carefully listened for my number, and I didn’t believe this guy. He said he had personally called Desk Girl to inform her my car was ready about a half hour ago. I told him that my number was most definitely not called (and they also had my phone number which I gave them to call originally), and I said that I had been waiting for a ridiculous THREE hours, which was double the time I had been quoted, and he explained it was a two-​hour procedure and said he was sorry.
I stalked off, paid the Desk Girl without a word, and she circled my number at the top of the receipt and told me she’d call my number out when the car was ready. I told her that my car was actually ready and the guy outside said he called her 30 minutes ago. She said she had received no such call, which I expected as she knew I was waiting for my car and I was sitting about five feet from her the whole time.
I didn’t bother trying to take my concerns to a manager, because between other Unilocal reviews, the treatment the other angry customer got, and the way the guy outside spoke to me, I knew it simply wouldn’t matter. I cannot believe this establishment is always so busy due to their horrible customer service.
I will say that my car looks fantastic (though one or two small interior spots were missed), but due to the price and customer service it’s just not worth it.
In summary: Waited double the time quoted for services to be complete, was not even informed of completion, and received terrible customer service. Please do not make the same mistake I did and disregard the awful reviews of the various locations of this company.

Don’t waste your hard earned money. Its worth the drive to go else where. i like Harv’s Metro wash. it is just as expensive or maybe a few dollars more but the quality is superior. Its downtown but i think their are two locations
