History

Established in 1987.

Founded by Barton McDougal, and carried on by Karen McDougal, our firm specializes in client specific transaction planning and compliance work for all entities.

We provide personal attention to each of our clients to help them best manage their specific tax and transactional situations. Our clients include corporations, S-​corporations, LLCs, partnerships, tax-​exempt organizations, trusts, and, of course, the individuals that keep all the others running.

Karen McDougal took the reins in 2010, after 20 years of hard labor under Bart’s leadership, and continues the tradition of timely, accurate, and personal care that we have been known for since 1987.

After the realization that a Bachelor of Animal Science would not allow the freedom to spend time with the critters, I returned to my roots as a small business participant and builder when I acquired my CPA license. As a happily married mother of four, when I’m not herding kids and clients, I enjoy horse back riding and snow skiing (when we have snow before February!).
