I really like this bank. Management and the employees are very friendly and the customer service is awesome. Most of the time I’m there, I’m greeted by Elizabeth Woodard who provides adequate, friendly, and speedy service, making my visit a good one. On paydays, I look forward to another great experience at Machanics Bank. Thank you for making my days easier.

This bank has great service. All the employees of the bank work as a team and actually care about the customer. Bottom line, I walked in to cash a check and walked out a customer of Mechanic’s Bank ! This is a company that I will continue to do business with.

I’ve now done banking with the Arden branch of Mechanics Bank for over 2 years. The friendly and competent service at this bank has been top-​drawer. They worked with me to win my merchant business tied in with my bank accounts — matching some pretty wicked rates that I made them bid in comparison with an east coast firm strongly backed by Minuteman Press. I was correct in staying local. Day to day banking is a joy with Mechanics. They have stood by me as I learned my business.

My brother has been a client with them for some time now, and I decided to join too. Their young adult checking account is awesome if you’re under 25. The manager, Brian, set me up and was a pleasure to work with. We chatted about school a bit and I got the impression he’s a pretty smart guy. Very personable at that. Aside from the quality service, my brother had no trouble getting his finances sorted out for his recent trip abroad. Apparently they’re working on a mobile check deposit app as well — not something you’d expect of a smaller bank, but these guys seem to go the extra distance. I’m quite happy I decided to give them a shot.

I went there to cash my paycheck from my employer who has a bank account with them. I have a 401(K) account with them. What I thought would be a smooth and easy transaction started off with a disgusting attempt to charge me $ 5 for cashing the check. Then getting annoying questions about where I do my banking and trying to force me to open an account. That’s just a terrible way to get new customers.

The phrase «great banking experience» never entered my vocabulary. I never gave any bank that much thought. However, the Arden branch of Mechanics Bank defines a great banking experience. Ironically, when I think of every individual in that branch, all I can think about is how much they have made banking a great experience. I guess I can’t stop saying that phrase, now.

How many banks do you go in to that greet you by name?
Although there are not many MB around, they will credit any ATM charges should you need to go to another bank. I have direct deposit so I rarely have to go in to the branch anyway. But if I do, It’s good to know there are friendly people to greet me.
