Nelson & Schwab

Quick update to my previous review of N&S:
The attorney that I worked with, Tom Amberg, now has his own firm (called Amberg Harvey). Eric is awesome, but I worked with Tom, so I wanted everyone to be aware that he is no longer at N&S.

Very knowledgeable. I have talked to a number of attorneys. Tom Amberg is extremely knowledgeable. Some of the questions are pretty sticky. He’s also very helpful and actually cares. Knowledgeable and caring, two traits that are hard to find together.

Now I haven’t had my appt yet, but so far
I like. They answered the phone right away. Eric is whom I have my appt with. And he was very accommodating to my schedule. He quickly broke down what to expect and even answered a quick question for me. So far so good. I’ll update after my appt.

My experience was with Tom Amberg. From the minute I talked to him on the phone I felt at ease and I didn’t feel like he was trying to take advantage of my situation. Our office visit was even better. Tom was relaxed, kind, patient, and knowledgable. Within a week our case was resolved and we were notified in a timely manner. I would recommend this firm to anyone looking for a competent representation. I would like to complement the whole staff including the secretaries as well. One final comment… the fact that Tom and Eric were dressed casually was a big plus. It made me feel more at ease. Who wants to go talk with someone in a thousand dollar suit? HIghly recommend Nelson & Schwab.

If you are looking for an attorney who will thoroughly educate you as to your options, whether they include filing bankruptcy or not, Eric Schwab is a great choice. He is extremely personable, non-​judgmental and completely competent in this area of the law as he has been practicing it exclusively over 20 years, alone. In fact, if you are a business owner, he is an expert at analyzing Chapter 13 cases. You would think he would be expensive with all that knowledge and experience, but whatever your needs are, Chapter 7, 13 or 12, He is fair and reasonably priced. His Associate, Tom, is also very competent and reliable and makes sure what can be a difficult time at best, is almost fun! The support staff is also there to help you navigate the bankruptcy process and they do it with purpose and compassion. Do the research, but make sure that Nelson & Schwab is part of it… you cannot go wrong!

Eric and Tom are phenomenal. I was referred to him by a former bankruptcy attorney here in Sacramento. His exact words were: «If I were to have to go through bankruptcy and had a choice to use any attorney in Sacramento, I would definitely choose Eric.» Fair, professional, diligent, and concerned for clients’ personal welfare throughout the bankruptcy process.
