Nickens has practiced law privately Since 1974 with an emphasis in Estate Planning, Probate, Trusts and Wills, Real Property, Business, and litigation in these areas. Thomas is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts, United States Tax Court and the California Supreme Court. Thomas is a past member of the American Bar Association and California Trial Attorney Association, a former Deputy District Attorney in Yolo County, and member of the Sacramento Barristers. Thomas served on the Board Of Directors for the County Bar as well as for Countryside Bank for three years. In addition, Thomas has acted as a Pro Tem Judge at Settlement Conferences and as a Superior Court Judge Pro Tem for trials with the Sacramento Superior Court. Thomas was a Sacramento Bar Representative to the American Bar Association Convention and the California State Bar.
