Located next door to Panda House, P & M Tools has been in business for over twenty years. Same exact location on Broadway, same helpful employees whenever I visit this place. I wanted to do some home improvement projects around my backyard which involved cutting large amounts of wood and tree trunks(don’t ask) so I cleaned off my miter saw and began cutting the wood. Several minutes into cutting the wood, smoke started billowing out of the miter saw. I’m not an expert but I know this couldn’t be right. Something was wrong with this thing. I took the miter saw to P & M Tools and asked them if there was anything which needed fixing or if I needed to buy replacement parts. The employee told me it was the saw which needed replacing: It was more appropriate for cutting tiles than it is for cutting wood. He sold me a replacement saw for my miter saw. It was only twenty-five dollars. For the past two days, the replacement saw – a DeWalt construction saw – has been a perfect fit for my old miter saw. It cuts the lumber smoothly with little noise and, best of all, no more smoke! I can’t recommend these guys enough. Instead of throwing away your old handyman tools which is no longer working, head on over to P & M Tools. They could have the replacement parts you need to get your handyman tools working like new again.

I’d happily give this place a 5 star rating, but they don’t seem to be able to adhere to the hours of operation they have posted in their window. CALLBEFORE you take the time to drop by here so you know if they are actually open. I have been there when they ARE open, and have found it to be a good place to pick up the odd used tool for a one-time project or if you are just thrifty. I have even found some old school tools and such there that are from the time when quality meant something and tools were made to LAST. Just wish they’d be true to their posted hours.

This is a great place to pick up a couple tools when you’re in a bind. Appears as though all the tools are used(but still in good condition) and relatively cheap. I was able to pick up a mallet for just $ 5. The clerk who rang me up was friendly enough too. Definitely will be back the next time a project pops up requiring some new tool I don’t have.

I have only been in this store once, and while they seemed to have a decent inventory of reasonably priced used tools, and some really cool vintage tools, this is completely useless to me if they’re never open. Twice I’ve been back to buy things during their«open hours», and doors were locked. I think they may have gone out of business because now when you call you don’t even get voicemail, it just rings forever.

This place is GREAT! The tools range from cost effective stuff to REAL tools. There is even equip that has been out of production for over 50 years! Being a professional mechanic and having a place to go rather than waiting for a truck to over-charge me is perfect. The counter man answered all my questions and was really open. Great place! I highly recommend it over any chain store. I got a great deal on Lathe and managed some small pieces for the shop. This is now my favorite place!
