R & R Auto Repair

These guys are great. I’m always skeptical about taking my car to mechanics because I always feel like they try to rip young girls off, especially if we don’t know anything about cars. But not these guys. They’re honest. I’ve taken my past two cars here and I refuse to go anywhere else. It’s fun to sit in the waiting room and watch the older classic cars that come through. I highly recommend.

These guys are great! Amazing customer service, and communication. It is great to feel confident that you are not getting ripped off or overcharged. In fact, after leaving with our now working Jeep, we discovered that there were a few nice extras that were included and not charged for. We now have our reliable mechanics! Their website is put together quite nicely, seemed like a place I would be comfortable going. On the website it says they work on all makes and models of cars, domestic and foreign, no matter what the problem is. So I call the shop, and a guy answers the phone — sounds pretty nice, as soon as I tell him I drive a vw he tells me they don’t work on German cars, won’t even touch the brakes, and hangs up on me. I don’t know much about cars or getting them repaired but thank you for making this process so much harder and more frustrating than it needed to be. Assholes.

I moved here last year from Missouri, departing from my life long go-​to mechanic family members and friends. I had been on a search to find the right shop to take my Jeep to for a while, and just couldn’t find anything that reminded me of my experiences from back home. You know, the Mid-​West hospitality, honest work, and reasonable prices.
After being referred here by a family member, I have been completely satisfied with the overall work R & R Auto has provided. This includes the prompt customer service, explanation of the work needed, quality of work done and flexibility of their schedule.
Previously, my Jeep’s air conditioning condenser went out and I had to get it replaced. I put in the new condenser and had it recharged at a local car shop. Roughly 3 weeks later, my car completely shut down and wouldn’t stay on. I had my car towed here to R & R Auto. They not only got it in to be looked at fast, but explained to me in detail of what was going on to make that happen. In short– the compressor went out with a few other things. After relaying the information they gave me to two different mechanics, they confirmed that this was a honest and logical explanation with a reasonable price on the repair. They not only brought my Jeep back to life, but they proved to me that they earned the new title as my go-​to guys for all the Jeep’s repairs.

Our fuel pump went out on the suburban while out of town. They had my wife up and running in a day. It made the best of a bad trip. A huge Thank you to Rick and the team. Definitely a great shop but better people. Just sad it’s not where I live. Great work!

Dropped by to check them out and schedule my baby in. Was referred here by my good friend. Rick was very nice and answered all of my questions. What a beautiful facility and will be perfect for my cars. Can’t wait to return with work for them.

I moved up here from Southern California not knowing anything about the businesses around here. I chose them because they were close, convenient and got me in right away. I am a female and have had in the past horrible experiences at auto shops. Needless to say I have found the best auto shop around! They were honest, trustworthy, friendly, and most of all they did everything they told me they would do.
I highly recommend R & R Auto to all my friends and family all the time. I would not go anywhere else. I trust them 100%. Their mechanics are great, and their staff is very friendly and would do anything to help you. So my choice is R & R auto!

Do Not Go Here! I wouldn’t give this place one star if I didn’t have to. Besides the fact that we left this shop feeling robbed, the engine seized after my husband and I got an oil change from this place. We took it to our long time, trusted mechanic and he explained that the oil filter was over torqued. We can’t get our money for the engine because to sue them for it we have to have burden of proof which is hard to obtain and is expensive. We should never have left our good mechanic for a conveniently located one. Our car is totaled.

Family/​friend collage on the desk. My husband and I fretted long and hard about how to respond to this. Having gone so far as to consult a lawyer who advised not to speak to the shop without him present. We cannot proceed but we can place this rating so other people will know that this has happened here.

~ in response to yet another post. Our mechanic explained to me that they had a VERY hard time removing the oil filter. That the over torquing caused a crack in the top as it is a plastic cover which is a bad design flaw in the car. Once cracked and then pressurized it blew and ALL the oil released from the vehicle causing the engine to seize.

I have several friends who take their car to R&R for service and encouraged me to do the same. After putting their advice to the side many times, I developed a problem when changing a part in my car and decided to take it to R&R to have it fixed. It turned out to be a non-​problem when compared to what I thought might be the case. They figured it out right away. Through their discovery, thoroughness, and attentiveness several potentially major service problems were averted. I know I would not have received such insightful or complete service at the dealer, who up to this point I placed a great amount of trust. I highly recommend R&R.

I’ve always had a wonderful experience here. Being a female who knows nothing about cars, I get nervous about being taken advantage of in the automotive department. At R & R they’ve always charged me fair prices and give me options rather than forcing unnecessary parts and service.
