Let me start by saying that I have never taken the time to review anyone on Unilocal before, so let this be a testament to how happy I was with Rachelle and her team.
I contacted Rachelle for our wedding on 8÷8÷15 on a referral from a friend. Just by seeing her work, and speaking with her on the phone I was comfortable with booking her. She seemed laid back and confident, which was great because at that juncture in wedding planning, I really didn’t need another unnecessary appointment or stresser. To keep things short and sweet, Rachelle was professional, efficient, a fast shooter, and SO personable. She made sure to take our temperature as a couple, to see what we were comfortable with as far as poses, and made sure she knew what our expectations were. I called her the photo ninja because I honestly hardly saw her the whole night, yet when we got our photos back, she had the most amazing shots of every and all aspects of our day. She captured all of our special moments all the while letting us just experience our day, without having to be cognizant of the fact that our photo was being taken. As a result we got some awesome candids, and she caught some of those special looks shared between my husband and I. My favorite part was at the end of the night she even joined us on the dance floor!
My husband and I are not the most comfortable people when getting our photos taken, and we both were so happy with how everything turned out. Because she was so relaxed, we ended up looking relaxed and happy in our photos.

We booked Rachelle a year in advance for our ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₅ wedding after considering many other photographers. A glowing recommendation from close friends, sealed the deal. Our wedding date is upcoming and Rachelle has stayed in contact and has become a friend that shares in the little planning details.
Recently we were able to take advantage to a family photo session/​fundraiser that she put on. We are a blended family with 3 kids who do not get excited at the idea of cheesy family photos and a Mister who is to punk rock to pose. My son is autistic and doesn’t keep eye contact or focus very long either, but I just told her i would be happy with 1 good family picture. What I received was a disk of 99 pictures that are now most favorite prize possession.
I’m now more excited for the wedding and it’s not just because I am marrying the man of my dreams and our closest family and friends will be there, but because of our photographer. I don’t have any stress regarding ‘how will my photos turn out?‘

My husband found Rachelle Photography while browsing the internet, and boy am I glad he did! We had a TERRIBLE experience the previous year with our pictures/​photographer and were very nervous about a repeat experience. Rachelle was nothing short of amazing. She was very professional and worked with me to provide me with what I really wanted and needed, with regards to pictures. I have two small children and she worked wonderfully with them and we all genuinely enjoyed the time we spent with her while shooting. We shot pictures on Thursday and she had my CD in the mail to me on Friday. My pics were AWESOME! Rachelle is sweet, great with kids, professional and a true artist when it comes to photography. I would recommend her if you are considering professional pictures of any kind.

I can only put in so many words how wonderful and amazing Rachelle is! She not only did our engagement/​wedding photography (ceremony/​reception) but also when we bought our house she came over and did our moving in photos as well. She was such a great person who was always happy and completely professional. She never once complained or try to cheat us on anything. If you want someone who can and will do an amazing job at your next event I would, without a shadow of a doubt, recommend this amazing woman!!!

Rachelle is a Master at what she does and was THE perfect pick for our Engagement and Wedding photography. This woman is an artist behind the lens and knows exactly the look you want just by asking a few basic questions. I was referred to Rachelle by another photographer we were inquiring on who was booked and boy are we happy that about that. The compliments from friends and family flooded in when we used her E-​Session photos for our wedding website and invitations and I just knew the shots she was going to take for our wedding were going to be better than I could ever imagine. I informed Rachelle that I was looking to do just a few posed shots however mostly candids. She was spot on — the few posed shots we took are perfect however the candids are simply amazing. Every photo is a work of art capturing a moment in time that takes me back to that very second of my wedding. She is very easy to work with and calls the shots when she must (which is a huge bonus in my book when everyone at your wedding is wandering during critical photo time). She is the perfect photographer for us and I cannot wait to use her for many other special events in the future. Amazing, amazing, amazing!

Rachelle is the best! She’s so good that our wedding photos even ended up in Sacramento Bride & Groom magazine!! When Christina (my wife) and I got engaged she immediately began planning for our wedding. Our first call was to book Rachelle as our photographer! We met with Rachelle in her studio and discussed the different packages. She was very professional and laid back. Rachelle took amazing engagement and wedding photos for us. We will be referring everybody we know to Rachelle for all of their photography needs.

I would like to take a moment to gush about Rachelle! She did our engagement and wedding photos last year, and I could not be happier about the outcome! Not only is she incredibly talented and easy to work with, but her prices are more than fair. I don’t know much about photography or how to be photographed, and she lead us through everything with ease! I think the best part is when we got the pictures back there was the perfect amount of beautiful album shots along with funny or private moments that were just for us. There were moments captured I didn’t realize we’re being photographed, and I was so happy to be able to revisit them. That to me is the sign of a great photographer!

Rachelle is a master at her craft! Not only was she totally a pro during the entire wedding process, she has a gift. My husband and I are professional recruiters, so we probably screened… let’s be honest INTERVIEWED about 15 different photographers. We were going to have an extremely custom backyard wedding, and we needed our photographer to not only capture every smile, burst of laughter, and tear from our gigantic wedding party and 220 friends and family, but also the beautiful scenery of my father’s backyard. She didn’t just do her job. she exceeded all expectations. Her eye is fabulous! I loved her poses, her use of light and backdrop ideas. She also listened to what I had to say, and completely delivered. I received close to 500 photos after the wedding, and could not decide which to put into my album. She not only gave me an extension, but she designed my album for me! In this overpriced wedding industry, I found her prices to be extremely fair, and was pleased with her variety of wedding/​engagement packages. Rachelle is a brilliant photographer, and I’d choose her again, and again, and again.

Where can I begin??? Rachelle’s website speaks for itself since her work is amazing! I called her initially due to a friends recommendation for my maternity pics in May. She agreed to come to my family’s home to do the session which was a plus because I felt comfortable here and as a single first time mom I wanted to include my wonderful support system aka my immediate family :). Since I know nothing about taking great photos I asked Rachelle to take the lead and just tell us what to do. She did just that but somehow managed to get the exact shots that I wanted. She has a very sweet and cool way about her and we enjoyed her personality and work so much that we asked her to come back to do my baby’s newborn pics! Both times my fam and I had so much fun taking the photos with Rachelle that the time flew by (about 2 – 3 hrs, don’t really remember). She is on the expensive side but for good reason, Rachelle is worth every single penny. Will be asking her back again next time we need photos taken :)

Rachelle took our maternity pictures and just recently our family pictures with our new baby. She’s very good with kids, my son who doesn’t like portrait pictures is just so comfortable with her and smiled through out our shoot. She’s very professional and you would see her love and dedication to her craft in all her work. Love her… Wonderful pictures!

Rachelle is an amazing photographer! So caring and really takes the time to make sure she knows the couple and what they want. Her photos captured every feeling and emotion that we had in such an artistic way. She took both our engagement photos and our wedding photos and did a phenomenal job with both! She puts so much love into her work, and it shows! She also knows what the heck she is doing, she is truly gifted in her craft! We love Rachelle and her photos!!! She is THE BEST!!!

We used Rachelle for our engagement photos and were so happy with her service and pictures (beautiful, artistic) — that of course, we had to go with her for our wedding at Scribner Bend Vineyards. Again, she was amazing! Reasons:
1. She ensured that we got all of the photos that we wanted (with family, certain friends, bridal party, etc)
2. She was great about making sure everything stayed on time — there were a lot of people and areas to photograph, and she fit it all in.
3. She was great about communicating with the DJ, wedding day coordinator, and other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page and that things were running smoothly.
4. A wedding is an anxiety-​filled time, but her calm and confident demeanor was very reassuring during the entire day.
When planning a wedding, we learned that you want to use vendors that are trustworthy and experienced — it makes the planning process, and the actual wedding day, much easier. Rachelle was great on all of those counts!

At this point we knew we wanted to hire her as our photographer to shoot the wedding of our dreams!. She has been perfect through the whole process. She was always prompt at communicating with us. She was always on time and extremely courteous. She was Very Professional and also communicated well with our other vendors (Video, DJ and Reverend)
After seeing the first photos taken on our special day, myself and many other loved ones were in Tears! She seemed to have captured all the love and every emotion that was in the air that day PERFECTLY!!!

I first met Rachelle at a bridal show and instantly fell in love with her photography! After meeting with her and getting the fiancé’s approval, I made sure to book her ASAP! She was so wonderful in keeping in contact with me throughout the entire process. She explained every aspect of how she would capture any and all moments of our wedding no matter how small they seemed. I was especially surprised at how she nailed such meaningful and personal photographs without me having to say a word. She just came in and captured all the beautiful moments.

This girl. My word. or, more like, I have no words.
Rachelle picked up our wedding 2 weeks before the big day (as our previously hired photog was horrifically injured and had to cancel on us), and although that alone was lifesaving, she also was the most fun and patient photographer EVER, plus she worked within our budget at a fair price.
Our venue was the Vizcaya downtown, and between the mellow, natural lighting, and the beautiful old Victorian mansion, we had the perfect setting for some vintage inspired photos. We set up mainly in the parlor, and Rachelle did a fantastic job of mixing my bridesmaids and my daughter (aka flower girl) into pics with me, plus a great amount of solos. There were lots of candid and natural-​looking poses… nothing that made us uncomfortable or look «stiff».
My now-​husband was also injured and on a cane, however that did NOTHING to prevent some truly amazing photos being taken. Rachelle was super accommodating to Eric’s bum knee, and gave him lots of time in between shots to rest.
Despite the horrendous heat (about 108 degrees that day!), the end results were fabulous, tasteful, and completely our style. Rachelle, you saved one of the most important days of our life by stepping in as our photographer, and you truly are a gifted, talented artist. Thank you SO much from the bottom of our hearts! I cant wait to work with you again… maybe on some future maternity shots, eh? ;)

We’re so happy that we chose Rachelle! We chose her after emailing with her, chatting with her on the phone, and looking at her gallery and blog online. We were unable to meet in person because we were living on the East Coast at the time. Rachelle was easy to work with from the beginning. She made time to call us at a convenient time for us despite the three-​hour time change.
We met for the first time in February when Rachelle traveled to our venue to meet us and to scope it out because she had never shot it before. She wanted to be prepared for our June 2013 wedding. It was an act that demonstrates her professionalism, which we greatly appreciated. As soon as we met her, we knew that we had made the right decision. She’s VERY nice, laid-​back, cool, and fun. Both my husband and I immediately felt comfortable around her.
I appreciate how easy it is to communicate with Rachelle. She quickly responds to emails or text messages. She’s also really sweet and thoughtful. The day before our wedding she called me to check-​in.
So far, we’ve only seen our engagement photos, and they are outstanding photographs (beautiful, tasteful, and captured authentic emotion). We had an outside the box e-​session idea which Rachelle improved with her creativity and executed perfectly because of her talent. She doesn’t take the same old, same old awkward engagement photos that everyone takes. At the e-​session, I learned that she’s an experienced photographer with the ability to give directions about how to pose. She is also really encouraging and tells you how great the photos are turning out as she looks through her camera the day of the shoot, which made me relax and probably look more natural in photos. She’s respectful. I hate props, she remembered my disdain for them and never suggested using them.

She works well with others. She met our videographer for the first time on wedding day and they had seamless working relationship. She was also extremely patient with wedding guests who were taking photos over her shoulder.
She’s also flexible. The first time we met, she reiterated that she would take the photos we wanted from our wedding and encouraged us to e-​mail her any photos ideas we had.
I have nothing but nice things to say about Rachelle. We’re so happy we chose her. She’s a great person to be around, professional, and extremely talented! If we ever need photos taken again, she will be the only person in the area we’ll ask to take them.

Rachelle is amazing! My husband and I met up with Rachelle right after we got engaged and she was super helpful with answering all our questions and listening to what we liked/​didn’t like. She worked with us on a fair price that was within our budget, and her work was worth every penny!

Rachelle was amazing! After lots of research we booked her for our wedding and couldn’t have been happier that we did! When I first decided that I wanted to have maternity pictures in my home taken my boyfriend was not too thrilled, especially when I told him he would be in them. The original photographer never got back to us after she said she would love to take our pictures so after much research I found Rachelle’s website and loved her style. I knew she was the only woman for this job and was hoping she would have time to take our pictures :)
First of all, Rachelle made special arrangements to take our pictures early in the morning so we could beat the 100 degree weather that day (I was nine month pregnant and did not want to fry outside). When she got to our home she was punctual to our appointment (we are always running late and were not totally ready) and was professional taking pictures of the nursery while we finished getting ready. We had never had pictures taken especially in our house so we were not sure what we were supposed to do and were a little nervous. Rachelle helped us relax by talking to us and getting to know us and she was also conscious of what we wanted from our pictures and what we did not feel comfortable doing. She was so sweet and would have nice comments about how we were doing while she took our pictures.
Once we got our pictures they were breathtaking. They were everything I was looking for and more. The pictures were classy, modern, sexy, tasteful, artistic, fun, and unique. My boyfriend and I were so pleased! We were so excited we made the right choice. Thank you Rachelle for giving us such a great experience we realize not everyone is like you.
