So, I went to Robinson’s Tae Kwon Do to check it out because I was thinking about joining a martial arts school in Sacramento. pro: their facilities are very nice, clean, and professional cons: There are three main cons. One is that the instructors do not do the beginning exercises and stretches with the students. They just stand there and tell them what to do. Second is that Robinson’s TKD is a money gouger. Basically, they try to get any and all money out of you in any way, shape, or form. Tuition at Robinson’s TKD is $ 140, their uniform(yes, you must buy and wear their darn uniform) costs $ 40, and they have some weird down payment for the first month, which is $ 20. With the money coming out of all the millions of Robinson schools, I’m not surprised if Grandmaster Clint Robinson lives in Roseville, Folsom, the Curtis Park neighborhood of Sacramento, or the Fab 40 streets in East Sacramento. Third is that they aggressively try to recruit students. After looking at their costs and their practices, I told Mr. Alex Mota, the head instructor at the Marconi location, that I wasn’t interested. Then, he was like, «What’s stopping you from joining? What can I do to make you a student today?» Long after, I said no, they are still sending me annoying text messages telling me about deals and events going on at Robinson’s. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a commercial on local Sacramento television, newspaper, and radio. It’s such a commercialized martial arts school that cares more about making money than about their students. Unless you’re rich, avoid this commercialized school.

This place was amazing! By far the best taekwondo place I have been to. The instructors are friendly and they teach excellingly. I highly recommend coming here for a fabulous experience. It is a great place to learn taekwondo. It is also well organized and a good place to stay fit, condition your body, work towards a fitness goal, and become healthier physically as well as being strong mentally. It was surely a great experience for me and I would greatly suggest it to anyone who is interested.
