Great spot to get a decent cheap fast Mani. Only $ 12. Didn’t get the name of the lady that did my nails but she was nice. Next time I will have to try the pedicure.

Maybe my expectations were a little high? Maybe I picked a bad day to come in? It seems that other people have had a nice pleasant experience at this salon. But not me. I called around 10:30 to make an appointment for that afternoon. The woman who answered the phone said I had to come in at 11:00, so I rushed over. I was expecting it to be busy, but there were only two people there. A woman was leaving as I walked in, and they immediately asked me to lock the door behind her — kind of off-putting and I’m fairly certain it is against the fire codes, but whatever. I rarely treat myself to a manicure and pedicure, so I was excited. It was 11:00 and I was ready. The woman I spoke with on the phone knew my name when I walked in, so I assumed it would only be a few minutes before we got started — except it wasn’t. 20 minutes later, she said it would be a few more minutes. 20 minutes after that, she said they were almost ready and joked about telling me 11 instead of 11:30. Finally, at 11:50, they called me over. I told the woman I wanted a manicure and pedicure with just a natural color — I said clear with a pinkish tint. Before I realized it, she has used a very light iridescent pinkish-purple. Not what I wanted at all. But by this time, I was so frustrated, I just wanted to get it over with. When she was done, I was told that they only take cash — even though their profile on Unilocal says they accept credit cards. So I had to walk next door(in my spa slippers with wet toenails) to the«smoke shop» and ask for cash back — which he charged me $ 2 for. Needless to say, the tip I left was $ 2 shy of what it would have been. I am not even sure I should have tipped at all. I left there feeling very frustrated and disappointed. I feel like I wasted a good 2 + hours of my day! I definitely will not go back there.

Don’t go to this salon for a gel polish. They don’t have gel. Plus, I thought it was kind of creepy because the front door was locked during morning business hours. The woman I spoke with was friendly, but we had to yell to each other through a locked security door.

Great, cheap place to get a mani/pedi. Been going to the owner, Nancy, since I was a little girl.

This place is on the corner of Stockton and Broadway next to Boon Boon Café, another great establishment. The ladies are very friendly, the price is right and they do a great job. This is not an organic or spa environment, just a get your nails done and be happy kind of place. I keep forgetting to do this myself, but you may want to bring your own polish as their choices are limited. They do have the big massage chairs. The owner is hilarious and has a great sense of humor. Bring cash, as it is cash only.

Love the owner, Nancy. she’s so loud and hilarious. I love doing nail at Aveda spa, but when I need to save up, can’t go wrong with Rose’s Nail.
