Up from the Bay Area, we were visiting our friends this Memorial Day weekend, and after a party we found the kitchen sink plugged the next day. On Memorial Day, Roto-​Rooter not only answered the phone right away but, plumber Da’Marcus Lewis was at our door in Roseville within the promised 30 minutes assessing the kitchen sink line clog. Within another 30 minutes the plugged line was snaked to the street and our kitchen sinks were back in business. Da’Marcus was very polite and informative and although we certainly don’t want to have another clog, if we do, we look forward to seeing Da’Marcus again. Lastly, Roto-​Rooter might be a little more pricey than others in the area, having the phone answered right away on a holiday day, then getting SAME DAY service, along with 6-​month warranty, smiles and good vibes is ALWAYS appreciated and well worth it (by the way, don’t forget to use the discount coupon on the Roto-​Rooter website). We now can focus on the Warriors-​OKC game 7 tonight with full snacks from the kitchen. Thank you Roto-​Rooter ! Thank You Da’Marcus !!

On 5/​3, my tenant had plumbing issues in her sink. It over flow and leaked under the kitchen sink. My contractor went to replace the drain pipe and said I needed a plumber that can snake the line. So I call 5 to 6 plumbing companies and left messages. Only 2 called me back. They said that they can’t help me that day but maybe later on in the week.
Well I called Roto Rooter and they said they will get someone out to my unit in 2 hours. Darren came by at 2:30 that afternoon. He was quick and inspected the issue and call me with options to how much it will cost. He discuss the 2 options I have and said the tenants grease had clog the pipes. He said they sell this crystal that can help the pipes stay clean and that he will teach tenant the proper way of using the crystal to prevent these problems. The quote was $ 260.00 minus $ 20 coupon discount. His worked has a 6 months warranty. I really appreciate how prompted Darren got the job done and talk to my tenants regarding what not to put down the drain and how she can help maintain the pipes. Everything is working great now!!!

We had an emergency plumbing problem a couple nights ago and Bobby showed up extremely quick and got us through the night. He came back the next day to give us a quote on the main problem and we decided to hire him. He worked all day and into the dark evening hours and finished the rest of the job today. I have to say, he was very professional and honest and courteous. Never fun having a plumbing problem, but Bobby made it better! Thank you Bobby!

We needed services to stop our hot water from leaking and flowing continuously out of the outgoing drain. Roto Rooter technician name, Michael came to access the problem and discovered we needed to replace the pressure relief valve. His original quote was $ 485;however, we were able to get a price match for $ 350.
What Roto Rooter and their technician failed to inform us was they included the time it took him to go to the store to purchase the replacement valve AND the time it took him to replace it, which I understand. They failed to disclose added cost when he was not here. Also, he did not mention there was a $ 20 dollar off service coupon and we discovered the coupon ourselves looking online.
I do believe they overcharge (making up their prices to have the numbers add up to what they believe the job costs) and I would highly recommend you get at least 3 – 5 other quotes! We will not be using their services again.

This is by far the best plumbing company my family has ever used (and we have used many). Not only were they honest and fast but also sent us a great employee named bobby. Bobby was by far the most honest repair person I have ever dealt with and was very efficient. He put himself above all the others I have dealt with over the years by showing that he truly cared about the problem he was sent to fix and very knowledgeable and had a great way of explaining all of my options. Bobby wasn’t just trying to get the money and run, he really choose for me the best option and saved me a lot of money compared to other company quotes I had received. All in all I highly recommend this business and wish every company I dealt with had an employee like Bobby. Great job ROTO ROOTER.

We had the misfortune to have an after-​dark drain backup, sending icky stuff into various shower pans. Of course, I jumped on the Internet to find a plumber. First call was to Bonney… the receptionist was very nice buy couldn’t get a plumber out to us until Monday. I then called several other shops, but no one answered.
I then thought of Roto Rooter. Called them, answered the phone on the first ring. Very nice person at the end of the line told me that they could have someone out in two hours, maybe sooner. Then, after an hour, they called me back to tell me the plumber would be there in 20 minutes.
When Jeremy arrived, he was polite and professional. He did the work with minimal disruption to our family night and completed the job in short order. The cost was reasonable… believe me, I would have paid almost anything to resolve the problem. After all, who wants to sleep in a sewage filled home.
These guys are great… call them if you find yourself in similar circumstances!

Best service I could have ever imagined. It’s litterally the day before my wedding. I’m having friends and family over Friday and Saturday and some staying at my home from out of town while we’re on our honeymoon. So needless to say when sewage was backing up into my bathtub tonight we were terrified.
A huge thanks to our technician Mike. A helpful polite and speedy worker. He was out at our house 15 minutes after we called. He cleared our main line in no time and advised us how to maintain it better.
I can’t thank Mike enough for relieving us the day before our wedding. We were so stressed and he made everything right in no time. I would reccomend roto rooter services to anyone anytime.

Stay away! I had a clogged pipe that ended up bursting and leaking under my house. I called roto rooter to come out and find the problem and quote me. The only good thing about them was the ETA to the location and the friendly phone person. They said the pipe was clogged and ended up bursting releasing «gray water» under the house and thats where the smell came from. They quoted over $ 1700 to fix the problem and another $ 3500 to remove the hazardous gray water and cleaning. I figured that seemed steep so I got a second opinion. It ended up being a simple problem that took 1hr to fix and another 35mins to vacuum with a shop vac. I can’t believe companies like this are still around and should be ashamed of themselves for these ridiculous quotes. There was a 11inch cut made and another pipe put in its place. They wanted to play up that there was mold, spores, and toxins that needed hazmat suits and cleaning done. It ended being a small puddle of old food, gray water, and whatever else went down the garbage disposal not even sewage.
The whole fix ended up costing me $ 270 bucks from a local plumber. Saving me $ 4,930. I will never refer or use this company again just a bunch of crooks up charging ridiculous prices. If you have a plumbing problem call around and try your local plumbers since these big companies lie and try to rob you.

Called in morning for an appointment at 4. Finally arrived after 6. The man was nice but an outrageous bid of $ 205 for a simple drain clean. He made sure to inform me that it came with a 90 day warranty. Searched for another company and found one that does it for $ 99 and a one year warranty. I can wait another day for $ 105.
Here’s the one thing I don’t get; you’re already here, there’s easy access to the line with the problem, it’s a 15 foot line. Once I informed him of the other option, he told me that’s their standard pricing. The job would have taken 15 minutes at best. Why not just do the job and make your money and beat the competition.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Take this warning and do not do business with these people. Let’s start with identity theft. The work order (3 page carbon) has your name, your address, your full charge card number, the expiration date, and the code on the back of your charge card and your signature in two places. It is an identity thefts dream come true. And this information is NOT kept secure at all.
Next, let’s talk about the condescending, combative order taker. I have had three conversations with her in the past 24-​hours and she gets worse with every second. Of course I asked to have the Manager Rick Brashler call me, and she told that he would not be available for a week. Fine, have the substitute Manager in charge give me a call — crickets — no return call.
The service within an hour promise? A joke. Three hours, and then add a «after hours» charge of $ 40.00 on top because by now it is night fall. And, even though they were in the yellow pages printed just for our area, a charge of $ 25.00 added on for that because of «being out of the area». Turns out they only have TWO plumbers, and thus why the very long wait. I found this out because after waiting for a couple of hours, I called the order taker back and she snapped at me that «no one was available». The price? They charged me over $ 300.00 to have my sewer line snaked, and they said it was just muck in the line. There are plenty of plumbers available in the Sacramento regional area — do not lower yourself to doing business with this Roto-​Rooter company.

Thank you Roto-​Rooter Sacramento (916) 482‑1400! My gardener had knocked my faucet off the wall outside and I ended up with a mini fountain even after I turned the main water off. I appreciated the receptionist sense of urgency to get someone out here right away. From the call to the end of the repair by Mike it was completed in about one hour. That is what I call fantastic service!

Main drain from a three-​compartment sink was clogged. Others had come before, «cleared» the lines, and got things flowing again, only to have it clog-​up within days.
Called Roto-​Rooter on a Friday at 9pm.
They got to Woodland within the hour. Our technician Matt was clean, professional, and quick. He also showed us where the problem was and how to keep it from coming back.
Perhaps we lucked-​out with the luck of the draw in drawing Matt, but he works for Roto Rooter, so they get the five stars.

I had Roto Rooter out to clear my sewer of roots. 3 guys came out and cleared the drain and put a camera in. they said there was a «bad spot» where the county meets my drain pipe and it should be repaired in next few months. Quote $ 1800.00. So I called the county, they said their side was good. I had a friend dig up the area and there was NOTHING WRONG. I considered having the manager come out to look at the pipe and asking him what they were going to charge me 1800.00 for, but I would have had to take off work, etc. Not worth the hassle. So sick of plumbers trying to take advantage of a single woman homeowner. (I have had several bad experiences with plumbers, one who I had to sue and go to the License board to get my money back, one who said I had a water leak in my attic when it was really a leaking sprinkler in the front yard, and now this.)
Never again.

BEWARE!!! Had Roto Rooter come out for a simple drain problem. Technician does a «scope check» with a camera and says I need to put in a new drain line from my main which leads towards the street because I have «bellies» or waves in my line. Said it would be $ 3K to $ 6K to put in a new line.
I had a friend who let me talk to his friend who is a plumber, and he said that a minor belly shouldn’t clog up my drain. He asked me if my drain was now working. I said yes. And he told me that unless there is repeated issues that he would just let it go. Guess what? He was right. The problem never returned.
Granted, the Roto Rooter tech did say that he would replace the line and not Roto Rooter, so perhaps it was the tech that was trying to screw me. Regardless, I will never call Roto Rooter again. 2^nd bad experience with them.
UPDATE 10−22−15: Rick, (Roto Rooter). I hate to break the news to you, but it’s true and I have the charge card statement to prove it. I have no reason to smear your shop. Do you think I just came up with «bellies» terminology on my own? If you have any doubts, maybe we should put a BINDING wager that I have a credit card statement PROVING that I called ROTO ROOTER for service.

This morning I came out to the kitchen to find the drain was totally plugged up… Well with my mom coming home tomorrow morning, I was not about to have a nasty plumbing problem on her hands… So I called and within 5 minutes I had an appointment for later that day.
They called me when the tech. was on his way and they said he was about 30 min out. He did show 15 minutes later, but honestly, I do not blame him in the maze that is suburbia.
Cleveland knocked on the door and was so polite from start to finish. He gave us the free estimate and explained what the problem was most likely to be… Nothing we could fix on our own with the tools we have…
He brought his own blanket to rest his knees on and went through the garage so that he would not track in dirt… So thoughtful!
He even fixed our leak in the pipes once the clog down the line was fixed! I was so impressed with his customer service skills, I think if/​when we need plumbing help again I will ask for him personally!
2 hours and $ 279 later ($ 10 off coupon from their website), we were back in business!

My friend had his home Home flooded and Roto rooter came out to do a repair on the toilet. He told my friend the cost for the part was two dollars and proceeded to do the work. When the job was finished, he demanded $ 279.
