Frank, exactly why would someone drive 3 hours on a price that was established and negotiated prior? If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. What does my child have to do with purchasing a vehicle? My child was never going to be in that car and would be driving home safely with my wife. To insinuate that I would allow a child in an open car is ridicules and you know I had an enclosed trailer for the transport. If anyone put their child in danger, that would be you letting your minor grandson paint with no mask and perform other tasks in a shop that you admitted that OSHA was not happy about. Furthermore, as you stated, you do so much in cash transactions by fixing up old cars that you don’t want to have to pay taxes on and was why the price was set as it was, which btw was a fair price at $ 11k for the vehicle and work that was done to it.

When I got into a minor car accident this summer, my biggest worry was cost. I’m in a tight financial situation so I delayed the repair for months. I eventually got estimates from 6 – 7 high-​rated places in the area, and Frank delivered one of the lowest price quotes for an aftermarket bumper. He was by far the most frank (hehe) in explaining potential issues that may come up and how he might handle them. Other shops had been quick to brush off my concerns about AM fit and quality, one even asked if I had a brother or boyfriend around before telling me my options. So I really appreciated Frank’s candidness regarding his experiences with Infiniti OEM and AM parts. He was even nice enough to give me a ride back to work right after bringing my car in for the fix.
The repair took longer than expected because the first bumper they ordered didn’t fit well, but Frank made sure to give me a call to inform me and updated me with texted pictures. One week later my front bumper looked brand new. They also checked my tires and reconnected the temperature sensor that got detached in the accident for free.
Frank makes it clear that cares about the work product and keeping costs low so customers keep coming back. I’ll definitely come back if I have a problem again.

Sad to say we had another accident (perils of having teen drivers) and were back at Saldivar Auto Body again. As before, they did an excellent job and worked well with our insurance. Frank Junior is now the owner, but Frank (dad) is still around and they are still a place that really cares about their customers and quality work.

This is what an autobody shop should be: A local, family business that is very customer friendly with hard workers that do quality work at fair prices. The only issue is it is hard to reach the by telephone.

Frank and Frank Jr. are magicians! They are the best! This is where true craftsmanship meets art. I figured that out when I saw all the large model airplanes they’ve made from scratch… and then all the classic cars next to the high performance cars. If this is where the pros take their cars, then these are the guys I want working on my 350Z. They made my fender crunch look better than factory original. Absolute paint matching too. AND at a reasonable price. They are the masters.

Frank did an amazing job on my Honda Civic for a very reasonable cost. A little background… I wrecked the front end of my car a few months ago. I came to Frank after receiving estimates from the big name shops downtown. The estimates they gave me were way out of my budget and I was worried I’d have to file an insurance claim to afford the fix up (I’m not the best driver and I can’t afford to add any points to my record).
Frank shopped all the parts for my car, using OEM parts, and was able to keep the job affordable. He save me from a big increase on my insurance and he did a beautiful job. My car looks like new. He detailed the entire car, inside and out, and even waxed it. When I got home I realized there were several scratches I had put in my poor car that were now missing as well. I never imagined it could look this good again!
As a female I really appreciated that he was up front and honest with me the entire time. Making a large profit off me wasn’t his priority. He went far above what anyone would expect out of an auto body shop. I will definitely be going back (hopefully under different pretenses)!

My brand new Toyota Rav 4 was hit by a reckless driver. My recommendation I took the car to Frank and I was glad I did. He made sure to use Factory OEM parts from Toyota even though the insurance company wanted otherwise.
After he was done he even detailed the entire car and buffed out the other scratches. The interior was clean and detailed also. It was a new car again.

Frank Jr. is caring for my 1964 Lemans — sheet metal replacement, body work, frame straightening, etc. Their work is high quality and they operate with integrity — no pressure, lots of options, no BS. I have a lot of respect for Frank and enjoy working with him. I look forward to bringing more work his way in the future.

We took the lady’s car here for some minor damage from someone hitting her car in the parking lot. They gave us a great estimate, and finished on time. They also do custom hot rod work, which is a definite plus. Of you are in need of a body shop, you should check them out and get a quote.

I was looking around trying to find a shop to do a full paint job on my 1968 Mustang. I had driven by this place over the years and never really paid any attention to it.
While searching on Unilocal for Body Shops customizing in classic cars i ran across Saldivars.
I stopped in and talked to Frank about my project and what I was looking for. It was great to find someone that loves classic cars as well and knows whats required.
I had gotten costs from specialty shops in the order of $ 20,000! just for paint. Feeling somewhat let down i was going to get done what i wanted with my budget Saldivars was a pleasant surprise.
Frank and crew spent way more time on my car than he quoted me. He’s a perfectionist and doesn’t let a car leave his shop unless its perfect.
They will be getting any and all future work i may have,

What a pleasant experience visiting an auto body shop! Frank was very pleasant, understanding and practical. He quoted me a price lower than even an appraisal I received from an insurance company. The car looks beautiful. He even waxed my car after completing the job. If you want great work done with very fair prices, please call this man.

I dented the rear bumper and quarter panel of my Lexus but didn’t want to have to turn it in to my insurance company. I got three bids. Frank was the only one who understood I didn’t want to replace the entire bumper or panel. His bid was by far the lowest. He got my car in and out quickly and did a beautiful job. He doesn’t have nice waiting room with a couch and comfortable chairs, but he does great work. I won’t bother with other bids in the future. Next time I need body work, I’m going straight to Saldivar’s

Frank is the man! He hooked it up phat. I have a project car that is lowered and I pulled the front lip off and broke the plastic bumper tabs, this wasn’t the first time I’ve done this… Head slap so I’ve had my tabs welded elsewhere in the past… But I decided to go here this time. frank basically dropped everything and welded my broken tab and also reinforced it and held it together with rivets!!! No joke… Way moresecure than the bondo method that ended breaking before… It was done in 30 min and cost me not too much cash it was a deal I would go back here anytime.
He’s fixing my broken grill right now too but I dropped it. off… I’m sure it will be top notch quality… look at his project cars

I brought my car in to Frank Saldivar’s shop after it was hit while I was parked at work. The whole situation surrounding this accident had turned into a huge hassle, but as soon as I met Frank, things mellowed out. He gave me a great price on the repairs. He dealt with a number of phone calls from the guy who hit my car. He did a beautiful job on my car. His grandson even buffed the entire exterior and vaccuumed the inside before I came to pick it up. These guys went well above and beyond with their service. I’d recommend them to anybody who needs auto body work done on their vehicle. Frank seems like a really honest and genuine guy :)

So I looked on Unilocal for some repair shops and found this one after I had a minor fender bender in a parking lot, which made part of my rear bumper hang off the side. I got a quote from this place and a couple other body shops downtown and this was the cheapest one.
Let me just warn you now that if you walk into his office, it was quite a mess. He had papers everywhere, but don’t let this discourage you. When I talked with him, he was quite friendly and offered to give me a ride back home.
After they got my bumper replaced and repainted (this was in February 2011), it looked great and I’d go back there again if I needed body work.

I found Saldivar Auto Body on Unilocal after I got into a smallish car accident (not my fault thank goodness, but a huge hassle nonetheless).
From the beginning Frank Saldivar (the owner) was very nice. He stored my car in his shop for weeks while I dealt with the other parties dreaded insurance company. Finally deciding to fix my newly damaged car, Frank and his crew had it back up and running within a week and for a reasonable price.
About a week later (and after spending 4-​hours at the DMV on Broadway) I noticed that the lights weren’t working correctly. I took it back to Saldivar. Upon inspection, Frank noticed that there was a back up light out, and a problem with the headlights. He took it into the garage and started working on it right then and there. Keep in mind the headlights weren’t part of the area damaged in the accident…
Frank then noticed that the check engine light was on (this light had been coming on and off before the accident) and said that the car wouldn’t pass a smog inspection with the light on. He went next door to ask the mechanics to run a few tests to see if we could troubleshoot the issue and get it fixed.
After running a few tests — it turned into 5pm and Frank offered to continue testing then to PERSONALLY drive my car to GET IT SMOGGED. I don’t know about you, but I have NEVER had an auto body owner offer to drive my car to the smog shop and help me until it passed. Talk about service!!!
The car sage continues — and I will keep you updated — but to date this is BY FAR the best accident/​auto body experience Ive ever had. How nice is to have a talented guy immediately stop what he’s doing just to try to help you get back on the road?
Bottom line — I would unreservedly recommend Saldivar Auto Body. Frank will go out of his way to help you get back on the road, is honest, and a very nice, family man (I know he’s a grandpa — Ive spent some time). If you have the need, Saldivar Auto Body should be your number one resource.

This is a father/​son operation specializing, primarily, in custom auto and motocycle bodywork and painting. After shopping around for someone to do some bodywork and paint my classic Vespa, I settled on Saldivar since they came in at about half the price of the other body shops I got estimates from.
Though Frank Jr. had only minor experience with classic scooters, he does have a lot of experience with the curves and lines of classic cars and hot rods. We talked about what needed to be done, how certain angles of the scoot should be mended and he loaned me a paint book so I could settle on a definitive color. He uses primarily European paints because of their high quality and durability, and they are guaranteed for life. He does two stage (paint and gloss). Granted, painting a vintage Vespa is a bit of a pain because of all of the curves and individual parts that need painting (I already had it all disassembled).
They job did take a while, but I kept checking in and Frank kept me up to date on the progress. I stopped by periodically (he’s close to home) to see the progress first hand, review the work and offer input — which he is totally good with.
All in all, it is a really nice paint job. Glossy, shiny and smooth. The front legshield looks like a mirror. It’s not a 10, more like an 8.5, but the price was right and he spent time making a beat-​up old scoot look good. Once I finish building it up, I am sure it will be a head-​turner.
