History

Established in 1960.

Created in 1960 with the merger of six school districts, San Juan Unified School District has a rich tradition of helping students find academic success and achievement. The district serves a 75-​square mile area covering the communities of Arden-​Arcade, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Fair Oaks, Gold River and Orangevale. Today San Juan Unified is the 11th largest school district in California with an expenditure budget of more than $ 387 million used to employ more than 5,000 individuals and to educate more than 46,000 students in our early learning, TK-​12 and adult programs.

I had business at the school district office. The receptionist is quite rude. She may be a nice person but she was incredibly unkind and snarky every time I spoke with her.
Wondering why they have her dealing with the public, she obviously does not have the personality to do that!
Have had to return several other times for various reasons and she was the exact same rude person every time. Come on San Juan school district reconsider who is the first contact of your office.
Everyone else that I needed to work with was very kind and a wonderful help.

Came here to get fingerprinted for my kids’ school (for field trips, etc)
Pulled up walked into the administration building (there are several different buildings you MUST read the signs) I walk in the lad up front was helping other people, she saw me and asked very quickly (kinda rude), «can I help you?» I stated what I was there for, and she goes its right here up the steps! (Pointing to the door I go into, to get finger printed) I go in and was there for almost an hour it’s a very S L O W process! The ladies in there were fairly friendly but that receptionist/​greeter out front… not a fan of that broad!
