We specialize in the art of hair. All types, all textures, all ages, we do it all. We have a professional makeup artist, and facial waxing. We also offer tattoos! Our tattoo artist is extremely talented. We are adding skin services in the beginning of the year including European Facials, waxing (including brazillian).

Shear Mixology specializes in mixing it up, offering you more than your every day salon or barbershop. We are community friendly and extremely talented. We support all artforms and promote self-​improvement through health, beauty, and art.

Established in 2010.

This business was created by Alexis Van Slyke and Daniel Gentry in 2010. They started the business from scratch and have developed their vision into a reality. Support them and their vision by coming in and enjoying their awesome services and their excellent hospitality/​customer service.

Business Owner

Alexis is an extremely talented professional makeup artist. She attended FIDM in San Fransisco, and is acquiring her esthetics license in 2010. She is incredibly passionate about her work and her business. While she put her cosmetology program on hold to attend FIDM for visual communication and fashion design, she is a natural and adds a lot of flavor to an energitc salon! Her and Dan make a great team and they fill each other’s gaps entirely.
