worked on it a short period of time and cut that price over half. If you ever need a good quick

I would like to say thank you so much SVS Muffler & Dyno for taking me in for exhaust work on my Subaru on a short notice! I have had many encounters with them and I am truly greatly satisfied with their work. JUAN the gentlemen who works there always take pride in taking care of me as a customer and knowing what I want exactly done from installing a custom exhaust cutout and from fixing an exhaust. Juan and the other gentlemen who helped him today did an EXCELLENT JOB today and this is the spot if you’re seeking for QUALITY EXHAUST CUSTOM WORK and dyno as well. I GUARANTEE! I been to several muffler shop in the past years and SVS is by far the best in Sac town!

Came in tho fix a bad Cat. They know what they are doing and do not bullshit you. They test what they should so they do not charge you for more than you actually need. Juan was amazing! I am sure the team is great, but Juan played it straight. Custom or not, this is the placed to go to get hooked up.

This here review is for 2 vehicles that have been serviced here at SVS M&D by Juan and some of his comrades.
First comes my Tacoma that needed to be worked on as the catalytic converter started to rattle and it was pretty annoying, not to mention that eventually would’ve done some damage to the rest of the exhaust if not fixed.
A friend had actually recommended this OTHER place for the job as this OTHER shop has a pretty good customer service and work performance as well. As I check that shop out I am informed of the findings and the options I have, one is to take the vehicle to the dealer so I can get HOSED because the converter is available through the dealer only for a whopping $ 12 – 1600 buckaroonies can you say FML? well I sure can. The other option was to take it to SVS Muffler & Dyno to see if they can order the part for a fraction of the price and so I said Thank you for the information and referral and off I go. I meet up with Juan over at SVS M&D and pretty much breaks it down the same way, it’ll be around $ 12 – 1600 on the part alone and labor is another fee, well of course it is. Can you say FML again? I did.
I tell him that I would think about it and I’ll let him know what I will do as spending $ 1600 Benjamin’s on a part just didn’t make any sense and it was just crazy, Well crazy would be NOT to fix the problem. I call Juan and let him know to order the part and once the part arrived I later down the week take the truck back to him. I come to find out that something magical has happened as I’m talking to Juan, long story short, I left SVS with a bill of only a few dollars over $ 400 smackaroonies WTF hell yeah boyeeee.
Awesome customer service and work performed which was very neat and speedy.
Part 2, second vehicle. Yes this is the place that worked on Wicca as I mentioned on the review for Chet & Cliff’s Garage.
I drove Wicca in here just to see if they could figure out what was causing the coughing and sputtering and if they could perform the work. You see I had already met Juan at a previous time when I needed a tig weld on a part for Wicca and what better place to get such thing done than a muffler shop, also that’s when I learned the señor Juan used to own a very nice and clean vintage VW bug and that he knew his way around then good enough and so I mentioned to him that day that I needed Wicca to be checked out so he said to just bring her in. Back to the present now, he had one of the guys that specializes in carburetors look her over.
Meanwhile I also wanted to lower her stance just a lil bit and he said that he’d mock her up where he believes would be good and that he’d call me so I could check it out to see if I wanted it that way. He called and I went to check her out and he also gave me the rundown on what he recommends we do for Wicca which was a tune up and some adjustments and to actually take her to Chet & Cliff’s Garage as they specialize in VW’s and that’s when he offered to drive her over to them when he’s done with lowering her. Now you might already know that both these shops are not even a block away from each other but the point here is that he really didn’t have to do that but he did and that’s what does it for me the little things, CUSTOMER SERVICE. The key to happy customers and the return to these shops because of it.
Juan from SVS Muffler & Dyno you are the man, thank you for the work you did on both my vehicles and the help you’ve provided. Oh yeah I almost forgot, one of the guys also gave me a ride home when I dropped Wicca off to get her all lowered and checked out, thank you for that as well.

Great place to have your Hot Rod tuned to its full potential. This cost a pretty .01 though. Not what I was expecting in cost. Nice friendly people

He replaced the catalytic converter on our 08 Escape, and our car is now happy once again

Had some exhaust work done on my hatch back, the work they did was VERY clean. I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. They also have great customer service… thank you SVS

We took our Saturn Sky in because the check engine light was on and the header needed to be replaced before it could pass smog. Even though SVS is not open on weekends, Steve met us there on a Saturday morning so we wouldn’t have to drop the car off during our work hours! He found that the catalytic (Cat) converter had no dampening material inside and advised it needed to be replaced. My husband contacted the local GM dealership for the Cat part and they told us it would cost over $ 900. Steve at SVS Muffler checked the service bulletin for the make & model of our car and found the Cat had an extended warranty! He gave my husband the service bulletin # and my husband had the GM dealership replace it at no charge! Thanks to Steve’s integrity, he could have simply charged us for the Cat and labor, but instead alerted us of the service bulletin saving us over $ 900. Needless to say we will continue to bring our Sky to SVS Muffler for all of its performance needs as well as refer our friends and family.

I’ve been to this shop twice now for new catalytic converters and had a very positive experience both times. The mechanics are friendly, and FAST– and most importantly the price can’t be beat! Hopefully I won’t need any work for a while but if I do, I’ll be back. Thanks!
