We have been seeing Dr Schauffele for several years now, and it’s always great. The office is easy to find, the staff is fabulous, and the doc rocks. It’s not often that teenagers look forward to an eye appt, but they do every year.

I have been going to Dr. Schauffele for over 12 years. She is so sweet and makes you feel so welcome when you come in for your appointments. The whole staff makes you feel like you are part of the family and I would recommend anyone to go here if you’re looking for a caring, friendly optometrist.

My whole family have been patients of Dr. Schauffele since we moved to Sacramento in 2009. The office is small and makes you feel like you’re at home. The entire staff here is awesome!!! The gals who do all the initial exams are friendly and nice ALL THE TIME!!! We take our two small children there also and they are always so accommodating for our 5 and almost 2 year old children!!!

When I drove up to the building I was a little leery. It looks like the kind of place your grandma took you for your first pair of glasses. In fact, it might be. There’s nothing wrong with the building – it’s just that it was uncool in the 70’s and hasn’t changed much.
But, as is often the case in life, what matters is what’s on the inside. Well, the inside of the building isn’t that great either. Maybe they think, well it’s an eye doctor’s office, these people can’t see anyway, so why bother with an expensive remodel.
I totally digress. It’s about the service. Most of the people at the front desk are pretty nice. They aren’t gushing-​fake nice – they have personality. One lady was a little grumpy, but she reminded me of a sitcom character and I didn’t take it personally.
The best part is Dr. Fleischmann – he is amazingly talented and professional. He spent so much time with me that I started to feel a little guilty. Most doctors try to rush you out so they can see the maximum number of patients in as little time as possible.
This is good old fashioned customer service backed by competent professionals. The old style digs, then, seem appropriate. Don’t change
And, as a bonus, the prices are competitive! Wouldn’t you rather spend your money at a local establishment than go to Costco?
