Very impressed with Dr. Panchal’s knowledge, communication skills, willingness to go over my imaging in person, and planning follow-​up care. I’m very grateful for being referred to the Spine Center at UC Davis, and in particular, Dr. Panchal.

I made the mistake of having a huge amount of faith in the UC Davis Medical Centers Ortho Department. You see, I worked for the Medical Center back in the 1980’s and 1990’s. At that time they had one of the best Ortho Dept’s in the nation.
Here is what happened. I Injured my back years ago and it has gotten to the point of needing surgery. I went to this medical group because it has everything. Dr’s, therapist’s, rehab, the whole works right there in one building. I thought AWESOME … Well it is a work comp injury and so I had to jump through hoops just to get here. Once the Dr saw me the claim had to get approved by work comp.
The standard practice for any work comp claim in Calif is to deny the claim. So I appealed like normal and one other thing had to happen. The Dr had to give a more detailed explanation to the claims people to justify my surgery. Here is where everything went real bad. Dr Panchal ignored not only the claims people but my phone calls, my messages, my lawyers request’s and my treating Dr’s request to respond. In fact the whole office of Dr Panchal’s ignored anybody connected to me and my needs.
So what happen ??? My case was denied and now I have to start all over again getting a new Dr to see me and start the whole claim all over again. That was a wasted 7 months of my life with Dr. Panchal. In the meantime I am in a huge amount of pain and getting worse. The nerves in my back are being pinched and I am losing strength and feeling in my legs and losing the ability to walk unassisted. I am now 95% stuck using a walker and on my way to a wheelchair thanks to Dr. Panchal and his team of unprofessional, uncaring, and *&^%$@%&*(&^%$%… employees.
So much for being the best in the nation. They are not even the best in any ghetto.
