If I could I would give Dr. Wong more than 5 stars! I travel all the way from Auburn for treatments. I have pretty bad teeth, and had crowns and bridges even before I found him. He has been able to restore and fix my teeth for several decades now. I trust him completely. Very competent and friendly! Very good at giving numbing shots. I’m a nervous patient, and he and his staff always calm me down.
The office staff is professional and friendly. I especially like Jeannie, the hygienist, — so thorough. Overall the best dentist I’ve encountered.

Was searching some of my favorite places on Unilocal and came across my long term dentist Dr. Wong! Have been going to him and hygienists for close to 20 years now and could not be happier. They are super friendly, kind, compassionate, and always provide excellent service. I have referred many friends and family members here over the years and they have always been happy. Highly recommend!

Terrible, do not go to this dentist office! They lied about pricing, insurance coverage, and avoided discussing billing issues respectfully. I trusted in Dr. Wong and his staff to have the integrity to say if a preventative exam was fully or partially covered. I should have checked with my insurance company and not have trusted them. Twenty years of insurance and many dentists and I’ve never been lied to like this. Shame on them, stay away!
I came seeking a second opinion. I am very thorough and had a preset flexible spending plan in place and I did not want to exceed the money I set aside for this procedure. Before setting an appointment, the financial manager assured me that my insurance would cover the visit. I asked for an initial quote, but was told I had to wait until they saw my x-​rays and evaluated the situation. I asked Dr. Wong directly during the exam if the x-​rays were covered, he said they were. After the exam, I received a quote far too high, so I told them I was going back to my original dentist.
Almost two months later, I get a very large bill in the mail for my preventative check-​up. I called the office to see if there was a mistake and they told me they were not in their network and that they were a fee-​for-​service dental office. I was shocked, I asked the financial person and Dr. Wong and this was not stated to me. They became immediately defensive and said that I must have a reoccurring problem with dentists since I initially came seeking a second opinion. She went on to say that I had «bad insurance» and became very combative and hostile. I don’t need their opinions on the quality of my insurance (Blue Shield) what I want is the integrity to say if the office takes the insurance or not. My insurance company confirmed they are out of network, my bad. If I would have known I would have gone somewhere else. There was some more back and forth but they refused to talk the issue through with me. They mailed me a generic form letter saying they’d set up a payment plan if I wanted. They must have been screening my calls because I called multiple times during business hours and I’ve paid my account balance in full. They may be engaged in retaliatory billing because I canceled my follow-​up appointment. If anybody else has had similar issues with this office please let me know. I filed a complaint with CA consumer affairs and the BBB and I am still awaiting a resolution.
