Work for Warriors (WFW) is a State and Federally funded Direct Placement Program within the State of California. WFW is open to all currently serving Guard and DoD Reserve personnel and Gold Star Spouses & Children.

History

Established in 2012.

Work for Warriors (WFW) is a Direct Placement California Employment Initiative supporting unemployed and underemployed California Reserve Component (Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard), Army and Air National Guard Service Members, and Gold Star spouses and children. The WFW program is dually funded by the State of California and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).

What makes the WFW employment initiative unique is that all WFW staff are still Service Members. We understand the obstacles that both Businesses and Service Members face, and we are the bridge that fills that gap.

Our program is over two years strong, and to date we have placed over 2,500 Service Members into jobs.
