Jacob and Victor arrived early (calling first). They were fast, efficient, clean, polite, and professional. I paid the minimal, one-​hour fee. They connected my TV, U-​Verse, and DVD player; made a recommendation to hide all ugly wires behind wall (minimal upcharge for material); and were out in one hour. Can’t recommend this company enough! Thank you for high standards!

I was very impressed with Workman Communication. The two men that came, arrived on time and greeted me with a smile and a handshake. They were very professional. They were able to do the service I needed within an hour (Hide the ugly wires from TV).

I found Workman Communications on Unilocal when I needed to have a couple TV’s installed. I saw all of the good reviews… and decided to give them a call for advice and pricing.
The first thing you will notice is that you are dealing with guys that really know what they are talking about. These guys have seen and done it all! You will not be dealing with some new kid that is learning on the job.
You can buy the equipment from them… or buy your own. It’s up to you. They were glad to give product and specification recommendations.
They were booking about 2 weeks out… which is a good sign! I am always nervous when they say their schedule is wide open!
They showed up exactly on time. If fact… they called when they were 15 minutes away just as promised. They were extremely polite and professional.
As you can imagine… anybody can hang a TV. This is where they separated themselves from their competition.

*** This is the important part. They said they they will do everything they promised… period. They don’t care if they «run into problems» or if it «takes longer than anticipated». Even though my job took longer than it should have… they charged exactly what they quoted me. They even made a special trip back out to my house to add a setting to my remote that they had overlooked.
Anyhow…if you want it done right… call these guys. Their pricing was more than fair and their work is top notch. You won’t be disappointed.

This is our third time having Rick come out over the course of the last four years for various things. His professionalism and knowledge is really great and his rates are very reasonable. We have recently moved to a different home so this time he came and set up a new universal remote and showed us how to get the most out of the (formerly) complicated system we had. Now it’s easy to operate and we feel like we have a whole new stereo/​TV sound system. He also came out on a Saturday to take care of us since he had been short staffed the day before. I want to join the chorus of Rick enthusiasts. He and his assistant Charles (whom he endearingly calls «Junior») recently installed two TVs in our house. He carefully explained to us what he would be doing and what kind of equipment we would need. He then efficiently installed everything, devising clever solutions to tricky problems along the way. He literally answered my calls and emails almost before I finished them. And his energy is infectious. If I could give him 10 stars I would!

Rick was amazing. We had very weak WiFi downstairs and thought that we needed ethernet wiring done downstairs to extend the network. Turns out, Rick just identified that our router was not up to snuff and recommended we pick up a new router. Everything is working great now! Thanks Rick!

Rick rocks. Über-​energetic and actually listens to you — and then explains things to you in English. He crawled into my sub-​basement, in my attic, and up on the roof to diagnose the issues and then fixed them quickly, always giving me options for quality and expense. Price estimate was right on. You don’t find guys like this anymore. Excellent.

CALL RICK!!! Seriously, Rick helped me lay out a game plan for my TV & sound and gave me an awesome bid including a new TV for lower than I could find it anywhere. I was impressed with his knowledge, his professionalism and that he is a perfectionist. My TV’s are mounted expertly in VERY difficult spots and they look absolutely fantastic. Rick answered my calls, got back to me when he said he would and showed up right when he said he would.
I just recommended him to my son so I am very comfortable recommending him to you!!!

Okay, so I’m not exactly the easiest person to work for. I want things done right… the first time. And, if there’s a mess to be cleaned up, I want it cleaned up and not layered over. So, Rick Workman came out to my office building to run new data lines for our phone and Internet. There were years of old lines, crossed lines, and antiquated infrastructure to deal with. He and his assistant surveyed the situation and got to work cleaning it up. Rick ran new lines, cleaned out the old, and was careful to make sure everything was installed to a high standard. He cared more about doing it right than I think I did… and that is a first for me. I’ll definitely have him back when needed. And, I’ll definitely spread the word. Rick is top tier.

Rick is the best! I have gone to him from home theater stuff a few times now. At a previous home, we had some outdoor speakers wired and installed. He did such a great job that I contacted him a year later to set up our TV’s in our new house!
We were moving the day that Rick was set to perform the install. Now, everyone knows how crazy moving day is. Rick offered to come by the old house and pick up our huge 60 inch TV and transport it over to the new house, safely for install. He showed up on time and went above and beyond my expectations.
At the new house, I had Rick and his assistant install 3 flat screen TV’s. He did a great job, despite hitting a few «fire block» snags in our house. He was able to overcome the issues and install our TV’s on the wall. He hid all of the wires and even provided a few HDMI cables at no cost.
I will be contacting Rick soon for installation of our in wall surround sound system. Rick is honest and takes great pride in his work. He does not leave until you are satisfied. It is a relief to find someone that is actually passionate about their work. I strongly reccomend using Rick for all of your home theater needs. He will not dissapoint!

The house we bought had surround sound in it previously, however we were missing one crucial center speaker and a subwoofer. I found Rick Workman here on Unilocal and contacted him to get a quote to install our 60″ flat screen TV above our fireplace and to get the surround sound system to work. Rick was great in the beginning. He showed up on time for the quote, let me know what he could do, and let me know what products we needed to buy (and also what he would provide). He gave us suggestions on what products to buy and didn’t just recommend the highest priced one (after all, we were buying it from Best Buy, not from him, so it’s not like he was making commission off of anything). For the products he was providing, I did some price searching later and he didn’t charge us extra for them.
On the day of installation, we hit a few snags with the subwoofer we already had (it was too old so we had to buy a new one last minute), but other than that, the installation by Rick and his assistant were great. I was a little bummed that he said at first we would have the speakers in the master bedroom upstairs connected to the system and for whatever reason it didn’t get done, but I soon realized that I would never use it anyway, so I got over that. The TV is perfectly mounted and the wires are all inside the wall, so it looks so amazingly clean. Our receiver, PS3, remote hub, and satellite receiver are all in the cabinet so they are out of sight too. They mounted new speakers outside and it was awesome to be able to hear sports games, TV and radio outside.
All in all, a great experience at first. The reason I only gave three stars is because I feel kind of neglected as a customer now that the system is installed and the job is «done». Rick told us if we have any questions after to feel free to email or text him. At first, any questions were answered right away and most suggestions to get things working were spot on. Usually it was receiver questions, but he was always able to tell me via text or email how to resolve my issue. He also said he lives in the same area as us so if we ever needed help with our system, he’s always a short drive away.
Then our subwoofer went out. I had turned it down slightly because our newborn’s Pack N Play was really close to it. When I emailed Rick to see if he could come take a look, he gave me some suggestions on what to do (i.e. «reset» the subwoofer and receiver). I did his suggestions and it still didn’t work so I emailed him again to see if he could stop by. I never got a response.
We have also been having problems with our outdoor speakers working, but it was an issue with the receiver. We couldn’t get very many radio stations in, the USB part wouldn’t work so we couldn’t get any MP3 players to work, Pandora stopped working, etc. We were pretty much down to just the TV working (the radio, MP3 player and Pandora were all working in the beginning). Again, his recommendation was to «rest» the receiver. We tried that with no success and when I contacted him again about the issue, he said he would contact Yamaha (our receiver brand) to see if they are having any issues on their end. The last email I got from him said that Yamaha said they were having updating issues and that it should be resolved soon and he will get back to me. I never heard back after that.
Almost a year after our system was installed, we had to have the stucco re-​done on the exterior of our house, and of course it was the wall that the speakers were on that Rick and his assistant installed. The electrician re-​installed them and when he left, the speakers were working (with just the TV setting though, nothing else). A day later the speakers stopped working. I contacted Rick again (now several months later from the last time I had contacted him) and this time I was willing to pay to have him come check the subwoofer and outdoor speakers as I just want our system to work. It has been almost two weeks since I sent him an email to ask how much it would cost to have him come out to look at these issues and still have not gotten a response.
I feel like the initial install was great and when he was done, everything was wonderful. However, the promises of texting, emailing, or stopping by should we have any problems after were just false advertising… Now I’m going to have to find another surround sound person to come out since I can’t get a response. I’m hoping that if I write a review on here maybe it will help me get a response (and should the issue be resolved, I would most definitely edit my review and rating). But I don’t feel like I should have to go to these measures to get a response from someone…

Rick is AWESOME! Called him to help us figure out what another audio guy did to set up our surround sound… Rick not only figured it out, he made it much easier to operate, and… he came back 2 times to help us when we were «stuck». He really knows his stuff and his customer service is unbelievable. I HIGHLY recommend Rick and Workman Communication for any of your audio needs… you won’t be disappointed and that’s a guarantee!

I saw the good reviews on Unilocal and decided to give Rick a shot. He did a great job and was extremely knowledgable. He mounted a tv above my fireplace and also re-​routed some other cables for me. The «workmanship» was very good, and he provided a lot of tips on speakers, entertainment centers and more. I almost had Best Buy do the job but am glad I went with this local business. Also, Best Buy charges an extra $ 100 to hide the wires. Thanks again Rick!

Rick mounted our 65″ LCD TV in our family room and knocked it out of the field. He did a flawless job and we will definitely hire Rick in the future for additional work.

Rick came out to install two outdoor speakers and basically rewire my entertainment center to the houses built in speakers.
Rick was first and foremost super outgoing and super punctual. My previous phone calls to him were either answered right away, or he called back in a timely fashion.
Rick set up my whole system quickly, and was extremely professional. When explaining the system to me, he didn’t use a lot of trade speak or crazy jargon.
His whole demeanor and attitude were leaps abounds of pretty much any other contractor or salesman that has been out to visit us.
I would literally recommend Rick to everyone and anyone, he did an awesome job.

Workman Communications has done us right. We used his services to wire some large manufacturing facilities, computer rooms, office buildings and fully enabled Audio Visual conference rooms.
He shows up on time, gets the job done, will tell you if you are going outside his skill set, does a nice looking quality job and is fair with his pricing.
Vendors like Workman are hard to find nowadays.
