Yelping the Elements: A Fire & Ice Affair

Wow this is long overdue.
This was my first Unilocal event. And it was awe-​some. I brought the boyfriend to the event as my +1 and he was unsure about going at first but within 30 minutes, after his second run through the buffet line and while working on his first of many sweet tea vodka mixed drinks, he was like «so this is why you Unilocal?» and I was like «Yes sir, THIS is why I Unilocal.»
I didn’t really know what to expect but this exceeded my expectations. Thanks so much Olivia for a fabulous year of Unilocaling and a wonderful event!

If you weren’t at this Unilocal party. boyeeee, you missed out! Probably the best Sacramento Unilocal event I’ve been to! (Although I did miss a few events so I can’t say for sure whether it’s the BEST best)…
What you missed out on…
–Amazingly scrumptious and hearty delectables:
–Baked brie (zomg!)
–Poutine, or as I see it, chili fries! Lol! MY FAVE, hands down!
–Tapenade
–Deep fried green tomatoes (surprisingly tasty)
–Creamy mac and cheese
–Fried pickle w/​tartar sauce
–Swedish meatballs?
–Bread crackers that went well with everything!

–Special cocktails: sweet tea w/​lemonade and cranberry juice
–Vodka + red bull (or anything with vodka)

–Three Olives grape shots + pops

This was my first Unilocal event. It was so nice to meet so many of you that have been nothing but nice to me since I started writing reviews on this site in person. It was also nice to meet those of you that weren’t so nice to me too, hahaha (you know who you are;).
I ate before the party so I didn’t eat anything there but it all looked really good. I wish I would have tried those fried pickles and brie everyone was raving about but I guess now it gives me a reason to go back there. I arrived there an hour late but got the chance to have 2 very strong drinks. WOOHOO! I chatted with many and took pictures with a few. I loved this well thought out event. Thank you, it was Awesome! :)
