NJ Exotic Birds

Walked in with a bird in a box (rescued from work), and I was welcomed with open arms and a smile! The ladies working were so helpful, taking a look at the bird, and explaining exactly what I needed, and they even helped move the bird to a cage of my choice, and gave it water and food! So happy with my new pet, all thanks to their help!

Great little shop ! Store is always super CLEAN! Which is important to me. buying food weekly, I know I’m getting good quality fresh seeds & pellets ! The store carries a few great brands that my birds go crazy for. Golden feast, zupreme, abba ect. The staff are always super friendly and wanting to help with any of your birdy needs.
They have onsite boarding available (by reservation) and you can trust that your bird is in great hands ! If your bird has clipped wings they are let out to play on the play stand and interact with the staff. They are offered a fresh fruit and vegetable mix daily aswel! #spoiledbirds
NJ Exotic Birds specializes in hand rearing most exotic birds. From parakeets to macaws and everything inbetween, Marylou has raised them all, I couldn’t see myself going anywhere else!

What a great find! I recently rescued an Eclectus. I have no clue about birds but I knew I wanted one & one that talked (boy. do I regret that, jk) I was given Mary Lou’s name and her address and friends told me she is the woman to talk to about any questions or concerns I may have. I did just that! I couldn’t be more appreciative of her and her staff! Recently I have boarded my parrot for the first time since we got him (9months ago), I was nervous but everyone made me feel so comfortable. I also noticed the cleanliness of the cages, food bowls and fresh water in every cage. I would recommend any bird owner to this store! Thank You again for your knowledge, fabulous prices and sweet staff!

NJ Exotic Birds just opened their doors and is now open for business. I’ve heard many good things about the owner Mary Lou who had her store over at Route 4 aquarium and bird prior to opening here on her own.
Although the store is small and was not fully set up, this is going to be a nice space to come and visit. They have a nice selection of birds (well taken care of) clean cages, a clean store and plenty of food and toys to choose from.
I will be visiting here more often.
