We are qualified to identify, discuss options and treat your trees for liberation and protection from insects including the Emerald Ash Borer, Winter Moth, Gypsy Moth, Mites, Scales, Aphids and the rest! We monitor, plan, treat and protect your trees and shrubs from diseases such as Rusts, Scabs, Powdery Mildew, Black Sooty Molds. We also work with your treasured Elms, Plane Trees, American Sycamores to prevent diseases like Dutch Elm Disease, limit anthracnose, treat scorches and blotches and much much more when warranted. CW Arborists work side by side with municipalities, non for profits, parks, schools and other entities to inventory, monitor and initiate planning for their tree management. Preservation and protection is key during construction and community development. We work with contractors, architects, engineers to establish boundaries and protection zones that are enforceable and durable through entire projects. There is nothing sadder than to not protect a key Tree and watch it dive to its premature death from lack of planning. History

Established in 2002.

The roots of CW Arborists were established on the East End of Long Island in the early 2000’s. The company emerged from a full service landscape/​nursery operation as an independent tree service company by the mid 2000’s. As the company was developing, the owner and founder, Michael S Gaines felt the growing company could not serve more than one master so to speak and chose to isolate his efforts and focus on the practice of arboriculture and move away from landscaping and property maintenance efforts. While doing so, Michael earned his Board Certification from the International Society of Arboriculture, a true indication of his dedication to the trees and society. The experience and knowledge gained while emerging from other parts of industry give CW Arborists a unique and valuable edge when caring for trees. Their understanding of landscaping, construction processes, irrigation and maintenance practices truly benefits you and your trees! CW Arborists Ltd incorporated in early 2008.
