Best Po Boys in the parish! The proprietors are the finest people you will ever meet. Love them like family!

Words cant express my love for this store. Its a hometown staple that I must visit every time I am home. The friendly staff is always a pleasure to encounter. The normal patrons are always a blast to converse with. The top things to get is bascislly everything, lol. shrimp salads, veal cutlet sandwhiches, POTATO SANDWHICHES (roast beef particles, with french fries on french… a lot of gravy)… I must stop writing here because im getting hungry and im very far away. But visit if youre ever in the parish!!!

Really good fried seafood combo of shrimp & catfish! I’ll def b back to try the gumbo & roast beef po’boy.
Breading in the seafood was very tasty, but I can already hear my Mom complaining that is was too salty with «too much flavor» lol Meaning the taste of the seafood was overwhelmed a bit. The shrimp were a good size~ 25/​35ish, and the filet was huge & cooked perfectly!
This place is a convenience store/​mini grocery and deli counter w several tables. I’m betting they do a lot of togo business.
Extremely friendly and the food was done in 10 min, fresh & fried to order.
Only negatives: onion rings r almost def from a bag, & not bad, but not really good either. The potato salad was good w perfect amt of garlic, but so mixed up it was almost mashed potatoes. And lastly, no cocktail sauce, & tartar sauce very sweet & processed tasting.
I really enjoyed the food overall & recommend it. If it were possible I’d hv given 3 ½ stars, but it’s better than a 3 so I gave them 4. :)

The best po boys, roast beef is my favorite and this is the only place I would ever get a french fry pb. Be prepared to be covered in gravy. Delicious, finger licking roast beef gravy.

Whenever I go to St. Bernard State Park or to the St. Bernard shooting range, I keep sure I stop here for lunch or dinner. I love eating their shrimp po-​boys.

Everything from this place is awesome. I’m very picky about where I eat shrimp from. It’s amazing how many restaurants use imported shrimp in the region. But they do not! Awesome shrimp poboy. Amazing muffuletta. Stop in for breakfast — their biscuits are to die for!

We tried «The Green Store» while camping at St. Bernard State Park. I had their gumbo and Fried Oyster Po’Boy, both were tasty with a hefty portion. I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in the NOLA area.

Better call in order, Gets very busy at lunchtime. Their Po’ Boys are awesome. I eat from there 2 – 3 times a week…
