History

Established in 1938.

Started in Chicago, Pakan Brothers made custom-​made furniture and upholstery. Andrew Pakan moved to St. Charles, IL and made Custom Furniture’s landmark 25-​foot Unknown Soldier in large red rocking chair. Began with unfinished furniture (u-​finish, u-​save slogan), now offers over 100 manufacturers, including Amish-​made furniture, both finished and unfinished, this 3^rd-​generation family business services the great Chicago area. Located 1 mile north of Army Trail Rd on IL Route 25, and 1 mile south of the new Stearns Road Bridge.
