The place has a nice décor and the food is good. Our service is what was lacking. The place was no more than one third full when we went for lunch on a saturday, but it still took the kitchen almost 40 minutes to get the food to the table. Although most of the food was warm when it hit the table, none of the dishes where good enough to wait 40 minutes for. If you don’t mind a long wait and no apologizes for it then this might be your kind of place.

We’ve been there a few times, and it’s OK. The staff is friendly enough, but some are not particularly helpful. We come for Buzztime Trivia, and we told the waitress when we ordered that we wanted game boxes. After ordering two beers and appetizers, and trying to get the game boxes to work, the waitress finally tells us that their Buzzime network was down at this location. Why wouldn’t they tell us that — or just not give us the boxes? The food was not memorable at all. I find it odd that one reviewer called it a «Mexican» place — as it is definitely not. It’s «American» food, although they might have a few Americanized«Mexican» dishes. It’s mostly burgers, chicken and wings… the usual.

Meh… Been here a handful of times and haven’t had a great experience yet. The staff isn’t particularly friendly or eager to check back with you after you’ve been waiting 15 minutes to have your order taken. The food is average, though at my last visit, my food looked and tasted like it had been reheated. Not cool. Given this place enough chances, probably won’t be back.

Overall a good experience. Good location and love the Moose as you walk in. Great bar and food. Good place for friends and family. I have been there several times, so I think I can pass on a honest review. Great burgers and the basics… Cuban sandwich is a show stopper. Stop in and give them a try.

Bad service, luke warm food and really quite boring. Had a complaint and the manager had excuses for everything. Probably won’t try it again

I can’t go here without getting their cuban sandwich(comes with mojo dipping sauce — served cold, but I wish they’d serve it hot). Although now they have baked wings and those may just be the best wings I’ve ever had. The menu is huge; it’s really difficult to choose one thing — especially when you’re hungry. I’d give this place 5 stars but the service is really hit or miss. If it’s slow, the hostess isn’t always great about alerting the waitresses that they have a new customer so sometimes we end up waiting awhile. Other than that, this place is great. We drive a good 20 minutes out of our way just to go here.

Well I guess I can’t complain too much about the food here because everything I got was courtesy one of the higher-ups in my company.(Yay!) But yeah… let’s just say, there were about 6 of us or so at one table. We had one waitress. She started with me even though I was hella confused about what to order seeing as I’d never been there before. There was a bit of pressure to order quickly too as we all had to get back to work right after. So I was like«do you guys have a chicken quesadilla?» And she’s like«yes yes of course»(because it’s supposed to be a «Mexican» place?) So I told her I’d order that… now, my bad, because I should have ASKED what all came on the thing. I did ask if they had guacamole and she was like«nope.» No guacamole? My inner avocado lover was sadden. When the quesadilla arrived, it was steaming hot. It smelled pretty damn good. But when I bit into it. HOLYMOTHEROFJALAPEÑO. :( TOOSPICY! I peeled back one layer of the quesadilla to reveal a smattering of hidden slices of green jalapeños…kind of like mines hidden in a battlefield. @__@; Needless to say I didn’t finish the meal. I didn’t want to appear rude since it was a treat by a supervisor so I had it wrapped up and later gave it to my roommate who enjoys spicy things. A period of tumultuous indigestion followed. Ick. Next time I will order something else… and/or double triple check to make sure there is no risk of indigestion! LOL! Also…a moose? Why is a moose the mascot for a Mexican style restaurant? Hell, even Tex-Mex…kinda…weird. Awkward conversations about the taxidermy moose head at the entrance forthwith…

Yum! You can’t go wrong with a barleypop and some delicious Lemon Pepper Wings from Loco’s. I was with a group of over a dozen people and we were able to be seated because it was a bit early for dinner. I found the service to be quite good and the food was great too. Every time I’m in St. Charles or in Georgia, where most of the other Loco’s are, I make a point to savor their delicious lemon pepper wings. Based on some of the other reviews here I will have to try a Cuban and see what all the fuss is about. The happy hour specials are still in effect, by the way.

Great staff and food. The restuarant is very clean and the staff is incredibly friendly, everyone is always in a very good mood. I love the Cuban sandwich, it’s my favorite. Service is always fast and the food is always hot, fresh and tasty!

I know what you’re thinking — what the heck is she doing all the way in St. Charles… OK, maybe you weren’t thinking it, but I certainly was! One of our lovely Unilocalers hosted a happy hour here and I couldn’t say no. So that’s how I ended up at Locos last night. Besides the location(which is like, BFE — seriously!), this little chain isn’t so bad. Happy hour specials were actually pretty awesome — $ 2.75 drafts and .65 boneless wings. This buffalo lover was in heaven! Wings were alright. Very small, but what do you expect for 65 cents? They also had some delish white queso dip and crispy chips for dipping. Also OK. What make Locos stand out in my mind was the balloon guy they have there during happy hour. He can make like, anything you want! There was a kid there with a giant balloon hat — it was probably 3x as tall as he was. No joke! And he can also do «adult» balloons as well. I nabbed his business card in case there was a need for erotic balloons at any Unilocal events. Overall, a nice little place. Probably won’t be back anytime soon, for the money I saved on food and drink was spent on gas. But if I did live in St. Chuck, this place would be on my list of watering holes.

Okay, the story of me and Locos goes way back, so I’ll have to give an abridged sort of chronicle. First, the first time my husband and I stopped in was when we learned of their happy hour, 4-close every day with some really rad deals! Our server was ridiculously helpful and upbeat that night and lead us to their honey mustard wings that ended up being pretty tasty. I stopped in once after that when my dad was in town and received equally awesome service, but what won THAT trip was their Cuban sandwich. YES, a place in St. Charles with a killer. Cuban. sandwich! Some time after that, apparently the crave for a killer. Cuban. sandwich! hit my husband in a way so big he had to tweet about it, and what happened next goes in my little memory scrapbook of awesome social media moments in history. Within the HOUR, Locos tweeted BACK to my husband about how they had some pretty great Cubans, and that he should stop in! Not ONLY that, but we live in St. Charles and Locos is about 7 minutes away from our home, so BADABING! Our minds were blown, we had no choice but to go in and get ourselves some killer. Cuban. sandwiches! So in summary, the Cuban definitely dominates, and the service and happy hour are also top-notch. I’m only giving Locos 4 stars because I’ve had other items on their menu that I can’t really remember having explosively good feelings about. but no big matter, overall I highly recommend Locos Grill & Pub!

i was really debating what to eat in st. charles, being on business here for only a couple days. i didnt want to drive all the way to st louis because i was already feeling tired and sleep deprived from coming from the west coast and… i’ll spare you the rest of the details. my perspective is coming from someone who wants something easy, nothing gross(of course), courteous, good value /quality(doesnt have to be fancy at all). cheap local foods can be really tasty right? absolutely! As you can guess, Locos has a bar. It’s set-up like a sports bar, 1⁄3 of it is a bar area and the other 2⁄3 is restaurant, with a few tv’s mounted to the walls. The place is probably less than a year old, just like the rest of the area. I think all of this sprang up recently. My experience: the place was pretty empty, with about 30% of the tables filled. i still waited about 5 minutes for someone to come help me at the front. The service was very average — nothing spectacular and nothing bad. If there was any place that had service worth of comments, this place would come in last. Sorry. The food. I wanted to try their best thing. I should have probably tried the middle-of-the-line, something that a lot of people get and the cook gets a lot of practice making. Because the rib eye… kinda sucked. I lied to the waiter when he asked«how is it cooked?» I even looked at the serrations on my knife after sawing it for a good number of passes to see if it was dull. The menu described it as «cooked /grilled to perfection.» they really shouldnt have used those words. But, as you know, it’s so easy to just be negative. They certainly did give large portions. my side of tortilla chips was an entire plate, which i ate about ¼ of. That was weird. I think maybe my experience had something to do with the waiter qualifying that he was new. dunno. i dont want to get much pickier, because it’s 3 hours later and i’m not sick. i’m definitely trying something else next time. maybe something in st peters… i read good things about that thai place there. ok i’m side-tracking. i’ll stop now.
